BAKED SWEET POTATOES
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
4 large Japanese sweet potatoes or sweet potatoes of your choice
Scrub the potatoes well and cut into quarters and place cut side down on a lined baking sheet. Bake for 45 minutes or until soft and oozing a bit.
INSTANT POT YUKON GOLD POTATOES
Fill instant pot with *boiling water about 1 inch add your steamer basket and your washed potatoes. I use about 2 to 3 pounds of potatoes.
Using the manual setting set it for 15 minutes. You can either natural release or quick release.
*boiling water helps the pressure cooker come up to pressure faster.
RICE AND QUIINOA
1 cup white or brown rice
1/4 cup quinoa
2 1/2 cups water
Place all ingredients into a rice cooker stir. Set and forget.
If you don't have a rice cooker you can cook it on the stove top using package directions. For the Instant pot it is 1 to 1 ratio 1 1/4 cup rice and quinoa and 1 1/4 cup water.
CHEESE SAUCE
1 Yukon gold potato
1 carrot
1 to 1 1/2 cups cauliflower
1 tsp each salt, onion powder, garlic powder
1 T lemon juice
4 to 5 T nutritional yeast
1/4 cup soy milk or any unsweetened plant milk
1 to 1 1/2 cup cooking water
Chop potato, carrot and cauliflower
Add to a pot of water, bring to boil and simmer for 15 minutes or until fork tender.
Scoop out the veggies and add to a blender, retain the cooking water in case you need more water to thin sauce..
Add the rest of the ingredients and blend well pour into a glass jar and let cool and store in the fridge for 7 to 10 days.
DR. GOLDNERS CEASER DRESSING
1 cup raw unsalted cashews or almonds
3 T lemon juice
2 T Dijon mustard
3T liquid aminos ( or coconut aminos)
3 cloves garlic
¼ nutritional yeast
1 cup water
Add all the ingredients to a high speed blender and blend till smooth.
CRISPY TOFU
1 block firm or extra tofu
garlic salt
onion powder
smoked paprika
nutritional yeast
Cube your tofu and add to a bowl. Add the seasoning and nutritional yeast and toss until tofu is well coated. Add to your air fryer and set to 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Shake the basket half way through, For the oven, place tofu onto a lined baking sheet and place in a pre=heated 400 degree oven and cook for 30 to 35 minutes flipping halfway through.

Come food prep with me! I will you show you a simple and easy way to food prep. Do you food prep? Let me know in the comments.
Food Prep! This reminded me I have cheeze sauce in the fridge, I can to make Mac & cheeze for the coming week. Good video and lots of great tips.
On a side note, for some strange reason the only way I can comment on your videos lately is to reply to a comment. Odd, but the way my life is right now, seems to be the norm 😵💫
I think is hard for me to go gluten free
@@suyap9239 If you have no problem with gluten then there is no reason to be gluten free. There is nothing wrong with gluten only those that have a sensitivity to gluten or Celiac like I do should avoid it.
FOOD PREP - Those are the "go to" too. I liked everything you prepped. I prep the same stuff. And that cheese sauce, I almost always serve myself a bowl right from the blender and eat it as soup, before storing the rest for cheese sauce. I just love it.
You are right, that cheese sauce is so good! So glad you are food prepping. It is one of the keys to success for weight loss and health.

Food Prep! Honey, I’ve got to get back into prepping ingredients instead of trying to prep multiple servings of one dish, just for me to get sick of eating the same thing before my workweek is halfway through.
Thank you for your inspiration and instructions!
I agree with you. Prepping ingredients is so much easier for me. Sometimes I will prep multiple servings of one dish, but for the most part I prep ingredients to build meals during the week. So happy you found this video helpful

Food prep, one day all I had to make my cheese sauce was Costco frozen mixed veggies, peas, carrots, green beans and corn. I used those after steaming with other cheese sauce ingredients and it was delicious. Seems like you can make the sauce with any veggies! Thanks for your videos
You are so welcome! You are right I have used a variety of veggies and they all seen to work.

I love how versatile the sauces. I did not have any Cauliflower, but I did have a frozen bag of riced, cauliflower and sweet potato and I use the same amount called for in the recipe for cauliflower, but I use the frozen veggies instead. It came out perfect.

Food Prep! I do much the same as you. Keep some cheese sauce in the freezer since one batch goes a long way. I make 3 dressings each week: a ceasar, a maple/mustard, and a tofu ranch or Chef AJ's lemon poppyseed. I use them on everything. I also prep sprouts each week in a mason jar. When they are half gone, I start a new batch so I always have some ready to eat.
Yes! Sounds like you have food prep down. Great job! It really does help.
Food Prwp:) love it! So you are eating lists of salads for your non starchy veg? Is this prep for lunch and dinner during the week? Or just more lunches. A few pictures of the meals you made from this in the week would be awesome. Thank you!
I eat salads, broccoli, cauliflower etc. This prep is for lunch or dinner. The point is to have option ready for you so you stay on track and consistent. Check out more of my videos and you will find many meals I have made from this type of food prep. Thanks for watching💚
Beautiful cutting board! (Amazon find?) Loved your food prep! New subscriber for sure.

@@ChewonVegan you’re welcome ☺️
Thank you so much for sharing Debbie!❤ I also try to food prep for the week, but you have give me better time management ideas!
I do my potatoes and sweet potatoes in the IP, always have salads ready in serving size containers and I make cilantro sauce which I LOVE! My cilantro sauce takes raw cashews, water for soaking the cashews, lime juice, apple cider vinegar, cilantro (as much as you like, I use 2 bunches ) put all the ingredient in a high speed blender with 3/4 cups of cool water and blend away!
Have you ever tried that with raw zucchini to reduce some of the cashew needed? It’s pretty good
You are so welcome WFPB Gigi! I am so happy my video was helpful to you💚 Your dressing sounds delish.
@@ChewonVegan it is pretty good! 😊
@@lizzzarduh no , I have not… does it give that creamy texture that the raw cashews do?
I would really like to know where you got your Ve-gan Do It. T--shirt? Its fantastic, thanks very much😊 kd
I use to sell them on my Etsy store a long time ago. I designed it myself. I'm afraid I don't have my Etsy store anymore. So glad you liked the shirt.

Hi, I don’t have an airfryer, can you do the tofu in the oven? I really enjoy the recipes and all the information. Thankyou. Judith
Yes, absolutely. 400 degrees for 30 minutes flipping half way through. You want to go longer depending on how crisp you want them.
food prep. What's your favorite brand of (glass)-containers to store the starches and veggies in and what sizes do you suggest? Thank you!
I just got them at Costco. It was a set with deferent sizes.
Hi there, you mentioned making fries out of the cooked sweet potatoes, and Yukon potatoes. I’m wondering how you would make fries after they’re already cooked would you please explain thank you so much.
You would make them pretty much the same way. Just cut them up into fry shape season and air fry @ 400 for 10 minutes or until crispy or in the oven on a line baking sheet @ 400 degrees for about 30 minutes flipping halfway through. I hope that helps.
Hi Debbi. How’s it going with your doctor Goldner smoothing? I’ve been doing it now for 10 days and feeling like I have lots of energy for starters!
It's going great! Almost 10 weeks and still going strong!
Uh Oh. I am gaining weight on it. By the way, I really like her Caesar salad dressing too. I’m doing something wrong though. Gained a pound and a half. 10 days. Oh brother!
@@nancydarcy3189 Hmmm, what are you eating the rest of the day? I would check into that.
Debbie do you know how much cashew POWDER I would use to substitute for the cashew pieces?
I would start with 1/2 cup and see how the flavor and consistency are.
Food prep. Where did you find your shirt? I rewlly like it.
Thanks for watching. I use to sell these shirts on my Estsy shop but I have discontinued all my shirts there to focus on You tube, my new online digital course and I am working on a cook book as well.

Food prep! Thank you Debbie. Been WFPB sos free for about 5 months and love all these tips and recipes. Always a healthy eater with a long vegan stint in the 70’s 80’s. Couple of quick questions....What is the capacity of your microwave steamer??? Also, with the dressing, can you sub white beans for the nuts (since nuts are so expensive & full of fat)???
The steamer is 13.6 cups or 109 ounces. You can sub beans but the amount of cashews for the whole recipes is not much. The recipe will last you almost a week. The cashews make it so creamy. I get my cashews at Trader Joe's. It's the best for cashews around here.
How do you reheat the food ? Microwave?
Yes with the microwave. If you don't like a microwave then use oven or stove top
Hi Debbie, how long can the food stay in the fridge?
About a week.
@@ChewonVegan thank you.
What brand of nutritional yeast are you using, if you don’t mind me asking… I made the plantiful Kiki cheese sauce, and all I taste is salt! I know it calls for 2 tsp. Salt, but I’m wondering if it’s not the nutritional yeast that I’m tasting!
Here is a link to the nutritional yeast I use. amzn.to/3B1fhIR I only use 1 tsp of salt in my cheese sauce. I think that is plenty. Thanks for watching my video💚
@@ChewonVegan thank you! That’s the same brand that I use! Next time, I’m going to use 1 tsp salt instead. I love your videos, and your recipes have saved me! Thank you!!!
