Yeah, the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame is a joke. I don't even know why it's called that when there are several rappers inducted. Hell, Notorious B.I.G. is slated to be inducted this year.
Paul surprised Ringo onstage for his birthday some years ago and it was SO amazing to see the genuine love these friends have for each other. It remains one of my favorite moments ever recorded. I’m glad Ringo finally got into the RnRHoF with his friend welcoming him in. Bless these two, I hope they have many healthy years left!
What is nice beautiful and intimate and heartfelt and bonding is the mention of Ringo’s parents. Only a Beatle knew this, knew them. It must have gone right to Ringo’s heart.
He was the last to join the group but Ringo was absolutely critical to their sound and it's no coincidence that the band's success exploded after he joined them. His easy-going personality grounded them and his professionalism as a drummer made the others raise their game.
For those who think Ringo shouldn’t have been inducted into the Hall of Fame as a soloist, just remind them of two words: “Rock'n'roll and fame” and Ringo Starr has both by itself. This is art, not maths. You can induce anyone who deserves to be there and Ringo has made many of us happy after the Beatles. We want him in.
Back in the 60's I recall very well that he was the most beloved Beatle. In Ed Sullivan and all the TV shows the cameras followed him a lot. The girls screamed most to him. For music fans he had (and has) a very singular touch and vibe in the drumming. A man with style. Top in his trade. Great Ringo.
Going "Wooo" is part of Paul's vocabulary. Others may do it when they sing or party. He just does it spontaneously. "Oh dear. 3 quid for a pint of milk? Wooo!" "Wooo! Good morning, Mrs Vanderbilt. Wooo!".
Seeing Joe Walsh sitting next to Ringo Starr gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling, one of my all-time favorite drummers seated right next to one of my all-time favorite guitarists/singers. Beautiful.
I don't know why, but I was smiling, from ear to ear, throughout this induction speach. Maybe because they were such a huge part of my life experience. I remember like it was yesterday, sitting in a darkened living room, that Sunday night, in February, 1964, watching the Ed Sullivan show, and the world, literally changed overnight.
I'm reading what you wrote. June 18th, 2023 (Paul's birthday), and I'm smiling fron ear to ear too. Ed Sullivan's show didn't get to Buenos Aires, but they changed my world too. ❤
During the whole course of Paul's speech here, I kept smiling as if I'm one of *The Beatles.* That's how much these four gentlemen have influenced most of our lives. Thank you so much, my Fab Four!
I heard “ I want to buy some tinnnnselll” on an escalator in Bloomingdales in LA before Christmas. I almost died. RINGO ! I said “ Hey Ring ! Can I shake your hand ?” He replied “ I don’t see why not”. A life’s highlight. Thank you Ringo. For everything.
Stuart Sutcliffe and Pete Best are also Beatles. OK, if they'd decided to change the band's name when Ringo joined (like The Small Faces turning in to The Faces), I might not be concentrating on that but they didn't. Pete Best most famously was the drummer on Love Me Do. Since the 'Fab Four' became former Beatles in 1970, they join Stuart Sutcliffe and Pete Best in being former members of The Beatles.
Aww, man, we can listened to Paul speak all day with his wonderful anecdotes 🥰 Ringo getting emotional when Paul spoke lovingly of his parents and of George and John😭. I love how they always mentioned that all the Beatles were close, always together sharing the same rooms or vehicles.
The love between these two lads are just too real.I love the Beatles.I grew up listening to their music as both my parents are big time follower of them. They are the reason why I pick up and studied how to play a guitar some 30yrs ago.Time flies 😍🇵🇭
LOVE Paul's intro....."he was a professinal musician" "he had a beard and a suit"....so great to see that Ringo was finally inducted into the Rock & Roll hall of fame....today is Ringo's 81st Birthday....Happy Happy Birthday Richard Starkey !! : )))))
I grew up with the Beatles, and heard a lot of disparaging remarks about Ringo, to which I always responded to: “and how exactly would you change the percussion to improve Sgt. Pepper’s or Revolver?” Flashy? No. Professional? The epitome. The Beatles wouldn’t be the Beatles without Ringo.
no doubt because of the ROTTEN way Pete Best was treated . . there was anger towards them yes . . . the ego-shattering chanting girls "we want Pete" surely got him canned . . .
Ringo has been literally wearing sunglasses 24/7 since like 1998...I wonder if its a way to hide his age. The beard/sunglasses/hair dye/maybe hairpiece? does hide it well
I really enjoyed that speech and you could tell Ringo appreciated the heart felt words. But as many have said he deserved it much sooner. The man is a legend and still at 83 is putting smiles on people’s faces.
The man is a fantastic drummer ,just watch those live clips from 64,65,he was on fire .So inventive ,like on 'I feel fine ',when his playing the edge of the snare instead of hiting the skin, fantastic.
What always impressed me from an early age of Ringo's playing was his rock steady drive on Roll over Beethoven... Beatles second album cut one side two. To this day it still impresses me !!!!!... Congratulations Ritchie...You Are the greatest Roll& Roll drummer of our time...well done man!!!!

Sad to think about. These guys are literally living Mythological Musicians among us!!! We need to protect them at all costs.
And now in 2021 I'm here watching and reading this. Wow so much more they have seen. And surviving a pandemic
@Sid Patankar not exactly. Everyone has their upside down. Nobody is perfect.
@@naufaladen2401i love the Beatles as much as anyone but you can’t really say they were “above” these soloists🤣 the Beatles individually were nothing compared to most of the soloist you listed. The Beatles were great as a band though. But their solo careers can’t compete with Freddie mercury, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Stevie wonder etc
It's just so beautiful how much they love each other

Paul: says anything

So wonderful that Paul and Ringo still play together and hang out......Hard to believe Ringo turns 80 this year
Yes and the new song they just released . John and George are still here ❤
Thank God we STILL have Sir Ringo Starr and Sir Paul McCartney with us. 😊❤
"He had a beard, that's professional"

When a Beatle talks people listen
Not during Beatlemania
@ShadowPuppet14 taking? HAHAHA LOL
No, when a Beatle talk, the people rock their little jewelry
John: SHUT UP!!!
Paul: oop.
But when they sing... everyone just scream 😂
Olivia Harrison looks like a very lovely woman. She was captivating when her and George were together. A good match they were.
Yes 💙💙
They don't need no stinkin' hall of fame.
They're above that.
You said everything!
agreed. I see it as beneath them especially in light of some of the people that have been inducted who are NOT WORTHY.
@@jv-ep2tc 👏👏👏
Yeah, the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame is a joke. I don't even know why it's called that when there are several rappers inducted. Hell, Notorious B.I.G. is slated to be inducted this year.
GreenDay1981 why are rappers in it? Wrong genre dude xD. Why don’t they make their own?
Paul surprised Ringo onstage for his birthday some years ago and it was SO amazing to see the genuine love these friends have for each other. It remains one of my favorite moments ever recorded. I’m glad Ringo finally got into the RnRHoF with his friend welcoming him in. Bless these two, I hope they have many healthy years left!
What is nice beautiful and intimate and heartfelt and bonding is the mention of Ringo’s parents. Only a Beatle knew this, knew them. It must have gone right to Ringo’s heart.
Hello there, how are you doing today? Thank you for the comment and goodwill messages. Nice meeting you here
He was the last to join the group but Ringo was absolutely critical to their sound and it's no coincidence that the band's success exploded after he joined them. His easy-going personality grounded them and his professionalism as a drummer made the others raise their game.
The love between these two men is just beautiful.
u can pretty much imagine John and George, with their arms around Paul as all 3 induct Ringo. in another universe.
✌✌
Back in the 60's I recall very well that he was the most beloved Beatle. In Ed Sullivan and all the TV shows the cameras followed him a lot. The girls screamed most to him. For music fans he had (and has) a very singular touch and vibe in the drumming. A man with style. Top in his trade. Great Ringo.
Going "Wooo" is part of Paul's vocabulary. Others may do it when they sing or party. He just does it spontaneously.
"Oh dear. 3 quid for a pint of milk? Wooo!"
"Wooo! Good morning, Mrs Vanderbilt. Wooo!".
Paul McCartney is Ric Flair inspiration ahahah
Maybe it's a tick?
Seeing Joe Walsh sitting next to Ringo Starr gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling, one of my all-time favorite drummers seated right next to one of my all-time favorite guitarists/singers. Beautiful.
Richard got some drums and Ringo was born
the way they hugged is realley heart warming
Even the mention of the name 'The Beatles' gets an applause. I think the mention of John and George caught in Paul's throat a little.
It is so heart warming to see that people still have similar affection for The Beatles as they did 60 years ago!

@@pennylane1268 That was sweet pennylane. You brought another smile to my face. Thanks
Living legends! The rhythm section of the greatest band there has been and will ever be.
During the whole course of Paul's speech here, I kept smiling as if I'm one of *The Beatles.* That's how much these four gentlemen have influenced most of our lives. Thank you so much, my Fab Four!
What a tremendous impact the Beatles had in the 60's! I grew up with this great music! Congrats Ringo so well deserved!
Did anyone feel excited or got goosebumps when Paul was talking about the first moment ringo became a beatle?
Whoever that cameraman was here, thanks so much for that back shot of PMC at the R&R HoF ceremony. It was priceless! Unbelievable!
Simply put: I love these guys. All 4 of them -- The absolute pinnacle of music.
I guess the best part of Paul’s speech was: “ ...yeah! And Ringo nailed it! “
After this all four Beatles are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as Beatles
Its already happen 34 years ago
Republik Ritme I meant as solo artists and Beatles
Stuart Sutcliffe and Pete Best are also Beatles. OK, if they'd decided to change the band's name when Ringo joined (like The Small Faces turning in to The Faces), I might not be concentrating on that but they didn't. Pete Best most famously was the drummer on Love Me Do. Since the 'Fab Four' became former Beatles in 1970, they join Stuart Sutcliffe and Pete Best in being former members of The Beatles.
@@Picnicl Well that's stupid.

Ringo getting emotional when Paul spoke lovingly of his parents and of George and John😭. I love how they always mentioned that all the Beatles were close, always together sharing the same rooms or vehicles.

Hey Paul I totally love you for this because you sent that postcard to him saying you're the best drummer in the world ❤️
I grew up with the Beatles, and heard a lot of disparaging remarks about Ringo, to which I always responded to: “and how exactly would you change the percussion to improve Sgt. Pepper’s or Revolver?” Flashy? No. Professional? The epitome. The Beatles wouldn’t be the Beatles without Ringo.
Well said!
no doubt because of the ROTTEN way Pete Best was treated . . there was anger towards them yes . . . the ego-shattering chanting girls "we want Pete" surely got him canned . . .

Ringo has been literally wearing sunglasses 24/7 since like 1998...I wonder if its a way to hide his age. The beard/sunglasses/hair dye/maybe hairpiece? does hide it well
I read somewhere that Ringo needs those glasses because he's gone sensitive to light
It’s probably just a fashion statement

Ringo was the glue that held the Beatles together the last few years.
He was the only one who remained friends with each beatle after they broke up
Paul was the creative driving force in those last few years.
I really enjoyed that speech and you could tell Ringo appreciated the heart felt words. But as many have said he deserved it much sooner. The man is a legend and still at 83 is putting smiles on people’s faces.
I love the respectful way that he referred to Pete Best. Whereas he could just said our previous drummer he wanted to praise Pete Best too.
We're truly blessed to have experienced the genius of these 4 lads from Liverpool.
Paul is so cool man. He could still hang around with the current youth and have a great time.
