I love the questions that Stephen Colbert is asking Paul McCartney. Questions a lot of us Americans have had especially those of us that saw them on the original Ed Sullivan show when they first came here. They're going to get rich. I turned around and saw the surprise and humor on her face. Totally imprinted on my brain.

The is only a chapter. Music history still in the making. It was when the Beatles splitted, kept after them and there 100's of great music writers as well as singers. I think there is some truth to that about Beatles music in general. Their lyrics, along with their melodies, make their songs compelling to sing along with. Subsequently, it helps ingrain them into our memories. Please understand, I don't mean that Beatles songs are simplistic. I believe the word elegant applies here instead. To me, their music is perfection. Just enough without being too much, if that makes sense.

I love seeing families, multiple generations, at his shows... the power of music, bringing people together, and it just doesn't get any better than Paul's oeuvre.
The conversation here with Paul made me realize that perhaps besides musical ability, just plain intelligence might be another attribute of very successful musicians.
Successful anything, really. You don't have that kind of longevity by just being talented. Talent is like, the easy part. As someone who is in a creative industry, I can't tell you how many extremely talented people I've seen burn bright and then flame out because they coasted on talent and didn't grow and focus on sustaining it.
Sir Paul's reaction to BTS was like "oh men, time flies and they still love and remember our song". I wonder what would be my feeling seeing BTS after 30 or 45 years as guests in this show and do the same. The goosebump I'm feeling right now 🙌🙌 I hope we still have this show.

The main singers--Jungkook, Jin, V, and JImin--are actually very good, even without autotune. The reason it sounds a lot more out of tune here is because (1.) all of them are singing at once, and (2.) they're not really *trying* to sing, they're just fucking around. As a musician myself I can safely say that they are exceedingly talented songwriters, choreographers, and innovators, even outside of singing. Also, singing on-pitch isn't everything. @Tong Zou You clearly dont know anything about bts. They write and produce mostly all their music, and if they dont then they work with the producers. There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists, and they can rap and sing really well. Sure they dont play instruments live, but they make up for that by dancing, also some of them can play instruments. They've practiced all day everyday for 10+ years. They made the dance studio mirrors go foggy from dancing and practicing so hard. They were also poor and their company almost went bankrupt. The kpop industry looked down on bts and put them through hell. Bts gives us so much content besides music. They have multiples variety shows, they posts a ton of vlogs, they have a whole storyline in some of their albums called HYYH, and they have two books based off the storyline.

daletwin1 that is so awesome! I was born in 1986, but I was raised on Beatles and Wings music. My dad saw him back in 1976 and he said the same thing as you, that his voice was incredible. @@themiller3319 you do know that they came from a shitty company that was poor as hell and didn't really have the resources to manage them, right?. Back in the day they used to have at most 100 people coming to one of their meetings. You people know literally nothing about their past and yet assume to know everything about them. All of them had to sacrifice something to become what they r today. They literally all left their home towns to move to Seoul without their parents at a very young age, the youngest around 13 i think, just because they had a dream to make music. They all lived in a tiny apartment and all seven of them slept in one room, they could hardly afford to eat and often had to sacrifice food to get somethin else. Because they were a small group from a small company they would often get cut out of TV broadcasts and then replaced by larger company groups, they were critised and hated because they didn't fit the typical 'Korean beauty' stereotype - they were constantly shit on by ppl online who thought they were ugly or too fat or whatever and then when they just started to get popular fans of another group were jealous so they started shitty rumours, accusing them of stuff like copying someone else's hair color (stupid as fuck i know). Despite literally all of this they kept going for three years without getting much popularity, simply because of how much they loved music and how much they loved eachother and their few fans. Then finally in 2015 they had their breakthrough, they had finally gained more popularity in Korea, not anywhere else really they still had to work another two years before they saw big success in America. So yeah, saying they aren't genuine is the biggest load of shit because they are, they put everything into their music. They write it, produce it, perform it. They hadn't had a break since they debuted in 2013, until two months or so ago, not because they were forced but because they didnt want to as making music was their life. They singlehandedly brought success to their tiny company, so yeah I think that all those makeup artists, stylists, fashion advisors that they have now were well deserved because they sure as hell didn't have any of that shit when they were starting out.

I think there is some truth to that about Beatles music in general. Their lyrics, along with their melodies, make their songs compelling to sing along with.
That is the walk of a man who's had his whole life to get used to being screamed at
By audiences? That was all over forever by, I think, 1965
@@pattyayers What rock do you live under?
@Franklin Cavallo He had some great tunes with Wings, too. Band on the Run, Live and Let Die, Maybe I'm Amazed.
@@pattyayers unmute the video real quick....
The man still can't walk down the street without hordes of maniacs screaming and stampeding towards him. After John's murder, and the attack on George, the endless beatle-mania would have made a lesser man paranoid. Yet, Paul gracefully troops on. (And Ringo, too!)
It's sad John is not there to tell the audience to shut up...
So sad :'(

Watching Paul McCartney react to BTS seriously made me tear up, this is so epic

Believe me, he thought it was excellent. I guess you personally thought it wasn't super interesting, but if I may recommend something, I'd love to recommend this: ua-cam.com/play/PLg2OjgpQyYq74hDkjnRd9US3R9dZFTVl6.html
Me too, I’m crying and have goosebumps 😭

Errrr.. what was so epic about his reaction? If anything seemed like he was indifferent about it.. 🤷🏻♀️
Hey Jude is such a wow pretty song , oh my gosh , pretty & heart felt , awe, even, Bravo too ! 👏 💖
Paul McCartney is always my most favorite of the Beatles!! Beatles are forever!!😍😘😊🤩🎶🎵🎶🎵🍹☕☕🍹
And, 'Hey Jude,'my favorite Beatles song!!

"Plus I'm a genius"
After 57 years....he finally admitted that truth!!
I could seriously listen to Paul talk for hours. I had the pleasure of finally going to his concert in July and I didn’t want it to end.
Years ago I thought I would never see Paul McCartney live and much to my surprise I ended up seeing him live 5 different times. It was about 15 years ago a that I saw him and his voice was amazing. I wish everyone could have seen him when he was younger because his vocal range and tone were incredible. Best concerts of my life. He is my favorite performer of all time and the reason I play guitar, bass and took vocal lessons. He was such a huge influence on me during my youth. My favorite song of all time is Yesterday.
daletwin1 that is so awesome! I was born in 1986, but I was raised on Beatles and Wings music. My dad saw him back in 1976 and he said the same thing as you, that his voice was incredible. I knew his voice wouldn’t be what it used to, but honestly, especially after being the last stop on the tour and singing since September, he sounded great! I can’t believe he played for almost 3 hours with maybe one break. We had a blast! I also thought I would never get to see him play live, so I was so excited when my dad said he got tickets. Paul is a great musician, but I also love his heart.

“Easy lyrics” and “plus I’m a genius” just about summaries it 😂
Paul McCartney performed Hey jude on his concert, Seoul. And that was fxxking amazing. I've never seen like that
Beatles's songs don't need translation. What a legend
There's a moment where you can see the look in Paul's eyes as he's watching the clip of BTS singing Hey Jude-- just a bunch of messy-haired boys who somehow became the biggest thing in the world for a moment-- his look is one of wistful recognition. He remembers what it was like to be them.
to be them???????
ritkafaraway ! To be them in the sense that he was a new artist at one time breaking into the big scene.

Not only did Paul listen to and play more music than most, he also probably has interviewed more than anyone too. You can tell how good he is at this and how he can see through it all.
Armys you need to know that it's a very BIG DEAL to have Paul McCartney to react to your singing ! I'm so so proud of them
Is not a big deal! Just a proof of how BTS has nothing compared to Beatles

Please grant Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr immortality
Sadly, eventually they will pass on, but their music will be listened to as long as there are ears to hear it.
I love them so much, I actually cried when he came out from the curtain. I literally cried.
Gods already have immortality.
@@Knottysumgaming Yes, they do. Indeed, so.
Please tell me there’s a place where they will be reunited with John and George again
Sir Paul seems genuine and gracious. Love that BTS got so into “Hey Jude”. Wonder if that little nod at the end was a knowing one to fellow songwriter Jon Batiste over the easy lyrics joke.
Nothing genuine about "Sir Paul" (William).
