So glad I came across your video. It never even occurred to me that you could open up the brush. Utterly amazed by the amount of hair I found in that tiny space! Must be 10 years worth! Haha! Thanks.

What does it mean if the end cap is different? The mini motorized head I'm trying to get working (from a v8) has an end cap that doesn't seem unlockable. Rather than an open slot, it has a sort of protrusion sticking up in the middle of it, so the coin/screwdriver kind of thing won't work; does this take something like a special "crab" tool to unlock it? I am not seeing anything like it out there (the tool, or the cap, for that matter).

Hi! Mine stop spinning. I cleaned it, but still nothing. Do you think I need to replace the whole piece?
(My larger attachment spins when attached)

How can I get rid of the hair on the littlest wheels under the laser head? Too much hair stuck on the wheels and they don’t spin anymore 😕 Dyson service told me to take the hair one by one using a tweezer but nothing works because the hair is so tightly stuck. Thanks in advance 🙏🏻

Can you use V10's mini motor tool with V7? V10's is 30W unlike V7's 20W. Both have same voltage of 16.2V

It's a bad idea long-term to interchange them it stresses the battery and the circuit board

What do you think of the V10?

Like I said in my review it's a worse version of the Dyson V8 .

Anyone else reading this, if you dont have a giant screw driver, use a keyring

What do you do when the brush does not come off? Mine is stuck and Dyson customer service was clueless why. Does the brush get stuck when the motor has died down?

Bring it to your local vacuum shop and have them take care of it.

@@PerformanceReviews *facepalm*. This has happened to our V7 Fluffy three times in the 2 years we have owned it. Have replaced it all three times, at $50 a pop. Never thought to go to a vacuum repair shop, to see if this is a more affordable option. Love our Dyson, but my hair gets the mini motor jammed up, even with cutting hair off the roller after every use.

@@evergreenecho79 if you buy the new version for the v15, you won’t have this problem anymore. It’s improved and designed that way that hairs won’t get stuck anymore.

Does this attachment have it's own electric motor or is it turbine powered by suction? Thanks.

Vid says "repair" , I face palmed the moment he sayed "no need to open 'er up, the tool is replaceable if it breaks". What if it's not broken and hair just trapped on the other drive end side? My motor cuts out because to much friction caused by trapped gunk. This video is just a waste of time...

Well then it's time to change the nozzle Dyson's procedure not mine. Glad you wasted your time with my channel 😁

Not sure for this head, but I had the same issue of it cutting out for the large brush attachment. You dont need to replace it. You need a small torque screw driver to remove the wheel that drives the brush.
Hair gets trapped around it, and you can see or get to it unless you remove that wheel.

@@PerformanceReviews he is right, this is not a repair, you just cleaned the brush! You say there is nothing else in there to repair, but after only 3 yrs my drive gear and bearing are completely blocked with dust/hair, and the plastic parts have half melted. I am now REPAIRING it, unlike you who would throw the whole thing away...
