Did I really just watch a 15 minute video on vacuum cleaner heads? :D Just as others already commented, Dyson itself really needs to do a better job of explaining all their different cleaner tools. And yes, very soothing voice! :)
@Earl Woode Dyson needs to supply someway to store all these attachments as well. Ridiculous that these machines are so expensive, yet no way to store the attachements.
I came here only wanting to learn about one of these attachments but ended up watching the entire thing. This guy just taught me things I never knew about my vacuum that I’ve had for four years. 🤦🏻♀️
You have helped me so much! I had a difficult time understanding what each tool did and how each worked. You know a ton and you are completely organized, and ready to explain quickly and efficiently. You are quiet and easily understood. I bet your house is as clean as a whistle!
Recently bought v11. On the maiden voyage I just vacuumed floors. Now I have listened to this Tutorial for a better understanding of how to use/purpose of each tool. Now ready to tackle Ceiling Fans with the "Up Top" Tool. Love the vacuum cleaner, variety of tools and APPRECIATE this Video! Thanks for this Video.
Just had our Dyson V10 delivered this week but, as you say, no explanation as to what tools should be used for what. This instruction video was easy to follow and I now have a clear idea of what to use the tools for. Thank you.
This is a basic tutorial on how to use the tools that came with my Dyson 7 vacuum. It is comprehensive and helpful for new owners. Thank you for doing this!
Same here, 15 minutes without switching off! Tools well explained and agree with mnemo70 that Dyson should have a user manual. After all they’re not cheap!
Thank you! I have a new V15 Detect and I realized that I had no idea what most of the tools do. That was helpful. I wish Dyson provided a dusting/cleaning tool for their canisters.
@@lords-electrical sorry I just have to add this. when ordering you got to choose from 2 free gifts of accessories. The vacuum (which arrived 4 days ago) came with several different tools so I didn't think anything of it. 10 min (I'm not exaggerating) after watching you video there was a knock at the door. My free accessory delivery! 3 new tools that I had just watched!
Thank you so much for your help! I wanted to make sure I was using the attachments to their full advantage and the manual wasn't exactly helpful in that regard. Your video was exactly what I was looking for.
I have a v10 Absolute for 2 years. It came with a BAG FULL OF TOOLS, which I was honestly AFRAID to use! OMG...I’m SO EXCITED now because I have all these NEW TOYS to play with! House here I come ;). FYI..I LOVE YOU,
Thank you so much. A must helpful demonstration. I have several tools that I never used because I wasn't sure what they were for. Now that I know, I'll use them.
Thank you sooo much - I have just found out why the head I was using was so noisy on the tiles (because it was designed for carpet!) I could not find any help on the Dyson site at all. I will now use the correct one (quietly) around my home. Thanks you from sunny Brisbane in Australia. PS. Handy hint: I have labelled the different heads with their uses, just in case any of the kids (ever) use them.
Thanks a lot! I am German and I was trying to find a video in German! explaining all these tools... I didn't really find any so I am really happy I found yours. Greetings from Cologne, Germany!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge on how to maximize the use of each attachment head. The mini- roller brush head which I use for carpeted stair steps and floor mats in my car has one major drawback (at least on my tool). When using a quarter to open up the end cap to take out the roller brush to clean, the cap does not come off and all I keep doing is stripping the slot .... otherwise all attachments work well. Thank you for an excellent video.
You should do ASMR videos sans vacuums. I could get such a good nights’ sleep with your soothing voice. And no, it’s not an insult. I mean it in the nicest possible way. I . Love. The. Turbo . Brush!
You really filled a gap in the market with this video. No instructions came with my new V8 absolute. I got 6 attachments with it and had not got a clue with what to do with three of them. Thank you very much for making this video.
Thanks for posting this. The manuals that come with the Dyson 10 model we bought are VERY basic. I’ve been loooking for awhile to find a video like yours. Thanks again from New Zealand
Audio levels way too low for many of us ....maddening which I realize many folks that have POWER for amplification just can't understand the complaint because it does not apply to them ...but for example if you have just a chrome book and a lot of background noise you are SCREWED for being able to hear the words ...particularly for such a soft spoken person as this man
Thankyou so much! Just unpacked my new Dyson and there was no description of what the tools were for! Some very obvious but some other bits in there were not even referenced in the paperwork.
My V8 Absolute Pro just arrived today and I was lost with all the attachments. Thank you so much for this video, it was really informative and you have a very soothing voice lol
Got my V8 today but the version PRO with great 3 extensions and a bag for all of them (uptop adapter 09:35, flexy with its little brush 02:54). Also got a free offer with 3 special extensions for the car. Super happy! No allergies!
I have a nice collection of dyson tools now. I have got ten. I do not use them all - I only use two. I keep the others in the nice dyson tool bag. I show my friends my collection of dyson tools. The dyson tools are great. Sir James Dyson is better off than I am - I do not have as much money as Sir James. I wonder if James Dyson has as many of his tools as I do. Or perhaps only his house keeper has a vacuum cleaner and all the tools...
Very useful video. We have just ordered a V11 and now we know what all the tools do. Shame that it does not come with the extension hose. That should come as standard. Thank you for the information. 👍
They are after market hoses that fit perfectly and are much longer - much better. I love it. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07J6FVTPH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Just bought the fluffy slim digital. It's light. About 1.8kg. It may still have some good suction power and impressive tools. But the problem is, nothing in the packed box explained how to use each one of them. Besides, how am I going to store all these tools that come with it? One downside is that, you need to press the trigger and vacuum at the same time. Pressing for long periods can be really tiring. They should have an ON and OFF button instead. Even though it's light, for those who have hand issues particularly the wrists and forearms will find it difficult to use it.
Thank you for the instruction on the mystery of the Dyson tools.. If they could come shove it around for me and cut down on the jet exhaust sound of it I would be so happy with it.
Very good presentation! It would be helpful if-in addition to telling us which model the tool comes with-you would tell us which (other) models it will fit, and if it can be ordered separately.
I’ve had many different dyson cleaners over the years so I have accumulated a variety of different tools. You did cover many of the ones I have and yet there are another two, which are not shown in the video and which I’ve never known what their uses are. What the video shows is very helpful, and yes like everyone else you have a wonderfully soothing voice, but as I’m reaching the age of, well AGE I wonder how people manage who are not computer savvy and perhaps don’t even own a PC and some may even think the Internet has some connection to fishing, so how do these Dyson owners know how to first of all assemble the appliance never mind fathom out which does what? (BTW Despite my age I AM PC savvy) but my point is, why don’t they (Dyson) provide a small booklet with brief ‘how to’ ? Happier Dyson owner
You are correct that it would help to put a leaflet to show what everything does. This is why i made the video, as we had so many enquiries about what everything does, i just point them in the direction of the video now. Thanks for the feedback
May I ask why you've had "many" Dyson vacuums? Do they break down quickly? Just asking, as I've just bought my very first stick vacuum....the Dyson v12. After 5 times of using ....(3 x 10mins and 2 x 20mins), the red fabric is almost completely off the wee rotating pet hair head! Not impressed!
Thank you for the great information Owned aV8 for several years and was looking for the up top adapter for a long time but had no idea what it was called I just placed an order for one on Amazon Thank you again!
Excellent explanation of tool use. Flexible hose should be standard I have purchased V11 so much better than old barrel model. Most products come without user manual in the modern times,NOT GOOD
Good review of tools. Just purchased my first Dyson product V8 animal pro. My cousin purchased one of the first or second gen dyson ball vacuums when it was released and it was total garbage had seal leaks real bad. Used Kirby,Shark etc
Thanks so much for this video - I have just unpacked the V10 Animal and luckily watched your video as Dyson didn't include an explanation of what the attachments are used for. I then found I hadn't unpacked the small brush which attaches to the flexi long extension. It would have gone out in the rubbish otherwise. Not sure why Dyson don't at least include a list of attachments included with each vacuum cleaner so you can check them off when unpacking.
thank you for this, just ordered the Dyson Absolute V8 model because of all the attachments, interesting that folks complain about the over suction, I have low pile carpet so I want all the suction, LOL, but yes the reducer might reduce the complaints as well...
Really helpful. Just bought my, umm, sixth or seventh Dyson (V11 absolute - woohooo!!) and thought it was high time I got up to speed on this important intel!
Your video is SO helpful. But I still have a few questions. Can you tell me what tool to use on hardwood floors? Tile floors? What about furniture? What about upholstery? Thank you so much.
I would normally recommend to use the direct drive head on carpets and some hard floors. For furniture either the combination tool or mini turbo brush is normally ideal. Thanks for the feedback
Thank you very much for this video. It has really helped me with my new Dyson V10 Absolute! (and my BigBall and V6 to be honest). Dyson don't provide a manual as you would know - and their video on unpacking a new v10 wasn't that helpful.
No problem, thanks for the feedback. I made this video because i was asked a lot about what all the tools do, and Dyson hadn't really done anything to help.
Thank you once again for the informative video on the dyson tools it has really helped me understand. I will try to buy thr extra ones I want , I'm from Australia a nd put off using a cordless vacuum but am excited about my V10 only got it yesterday so it's charging at the moment . Your videos are so helpful.
Thanks so much for your videos. The up top adapter seems to be upside down. When I insert it into the handle, the curved part of the adapter is on the under side, not the upside. Is there a way to change this?
I liked this video as there’s a few tools I haven’t got. Although he didn’t say you can buy a brilliant adapter so a tool from one model can be used on another, this saves buying duplicate tools. Also I thought he had a very nice voice and explained everything clearly. Best part of video was at the end when he said click below and he actually pointed downward - to probably the best tool not on offer but I wish it was hahaha.
The flexi crevice tool sounds useless to me because it doesn't seem to retain bent shape. Anywhere I can't get with something standard I would be able to get if I had the extending one. This flexi one would be good if it had the replaceable end, which it doesn't seem to have.
Did I really just watch a 15 minute video on vacuum cleaner heads? :D Just as others already commented, Dyson itself really needs to do a better job of explaining all their different cleaner tools. And yes, very soothing voice! :)
Agreed!
this video should be titled as ASMR explanation for a vacuum
Bravo!
@Earl Woode Dyson needs to supply someway to store all these attachments as well. Ridiculous that these machines are so expensive, yet no way to store the attachements.
15 minutes is so little, hard to find useful things in a sea of bs
I came here only wanting to learn about one of these attachments but ended up watching the entire thing. This guy just taught me things I never knew about my vacuum that I’ve had for four years. 🤦🏻♀️
🤣🤣🤣 me neither
You have helped me so much! I had a difficult time understanding what each tool did and how each worked. You know a ton and you are completely organized, and ready to explain quickly and efficiently. You are quiet and easily understood. I bet your house is as clean as a whistle!
We try and keep it clean but we are renovating our house at the moment so very dusty everywhere. Thanks for the great feedback
Thank you for putting this together. This is exactly what I was hoping to find on the Dyson page.
your voice is incredibly relaxing. i came here for the dyson knowledge but i stayed for the cozies.
Many thanks. I have had a box of accessories in my cupboard, sitting dormant for 5 years. Amazed that Dyson don't explain them all on their website.
Just had our Dyson V10 delivered this week but, as you say, no explanation as to what tools should be used for what. This instruction video was easy to follow and I now have a clear idea of what to use the tools for. Thank you.
Same. I just got my v11 and was stressing out that there was no explanation for the arm full of heads it came with lol. So overwhelming!
I just got my V10 today! What's your verdict so far?
This is a basic tutorial on how to use the tools that came with my Dyson 7 vacuum. It is comprehensive and helpful for new owners. Thank you for doing this!
Glad it was helpful!
Same here, 15 minutes without switching off! Tools well explained and agree with mnemo70 that Dyson should have a user manual. After all they’re not cheap!
Having my dyson for over a year now and I never knew that the flexible crevice tool, actually flexes and bends
Thank you! I have a new V15 Detect and I realized that I had no idea what most of the tools do. That was helpful. I wish Dyson provided a dusting/cleaning tool for their canisters.
Thanks for the explanation! I was surprised that the Dyson user manual doesn't contain any description on these attachments and their intended usages.
This is why i made the video, as we get a lot of customers coming back to us to ask what the tools do.
I suggested to Dyson that they could actually print the name on each tool. They said they would pass on the suggestion.
I just got my first Dyson and I had no idea what Each tool was for. This was extremely helpful thank you
Glad it was helpful!

Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for your help! I wanted to make sure I was using the attachments to their full advantage and the manual wasn't exactly helpful in that regard. Your video was exactly what I was looking for.
I so agree.
I have a v10 Absolute for 2 years. It came with a BAG FULL OF TOOLS, which I was honestly AFRAID to use! OMG...I’m SO EXCITED now because I have all these NEW TOYS to play with! House here I come ;). FYI..I LOVE YOU,
Great to hear that you will be able to get use of the tools. shhh i won't tell the wife. ha ha
Thank you so much for this! I’ve had my v6 for years and had no idea what the tools were for so they just sat there.
Thank you! Perfectly answered my burning existential questions re: home cleaning attachments for the Dyson V7.
Thank you, the video clarified for me what each tool is used for. I wore out my one brush head wo knowing the fluffy is better on hard surfaces.
That's a great idea Debra to label the heads, thanks for the feedback.
Thanks a lot! I am German and I was trying to find a video in German! explaining all these tools... I didn't really find any so I am really happy I found yours. Greetings from Cologne, Germany!
Greetings from the UK 👍 Great to know it was useful for you, thanks for the great feedback

very useful video. Several small mysteries now solved and better use of the available tools. Thanks.
You should do ASMR videos sans vacuums. I could get such a good nights’ sleep with your soothing voice. And no, it’s not an insult. I mean it in the nicest possible way. I . Love. The. Turbo . Brush!
Agreed. Best voice ever.
I was totally going to write this too!
Has anyone else found their new favorite bedtime story?
LoL 😆
PMSL
Yes I don’t my sleeping pills anymore.
Hey, I was sleeping
So it's not just me #asmr
You really filled a gap in the market with this video. No instructions came with my new V8 absolute. I got 6 attachments with it and had not got a clue with what to do with three of them. Thank you very much for making this video.
You're welcome!
This was like watching The Joy of Vacuuming (Bob Ross pun) 😏
Wahey, i used to love Bob Ross
Thank you very much! Your voice is quite calm and pleasant. I just received my V11 but with no explanation which brush is best for which surfaces.
Thanks for posting this. The manuals that come with the Dyson 10 model we bought are VERY basic. I’ve been loooking for awhile to find a video like yours. Thanks again from New Zealand
the only manual I received merely contained nonsensical drawings; but this video is very good.
Audio levels way too low for many of us ....maddening which I realize many folks that have POWER for amplification just can't understand the complaint because it does not apply to them ...but for example if you have just a chrome book and a lot of background noise you are SCREWED for being able to hear the words ...particularly for such a soft spoken person as this man
Just got my third dyson and I just now watched this and IT HELPED SO MUCH!!! THANK YOU!! Well done video!!!
Glad it helped!
Up top adapter plus soft brush is perfect for the tops of ceiling fan blades. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for the tutorial, I just got my new cordless Dyson, and struggled getting my head around all the bits supplied with it! :)
Glad it was useful for you. thanks for the feedback
Thankyou so much! Just unpacked my new Dyson and there was no description of what the tools were for! Some very obvious but some other bits in there were not even referenced in the paperwork.
This is why i made the video as I had so many people asking what the tools do. Thanks for the great feedback
Very helpful, i received a v10 as a gift and there wasn't a manual for the attachments and the dyson website was not user friendly...
Thanks again!
Appreciate the kind demonstration of all the tools. I learned a lot!
Excellent demonstration, thank you! You are a Dyson guru!
After 3 years. I now know what all these unused parts are for. Thank you!!
No problem, glad the video was helpful for you.
Oh my goodness! Great explanation on these tools. I was clueless with my new V8 Absolute. Thank you from Los Angeles area😁
My V8 Absolute Pro just arrived today and I was lost with all the attachments. Thank you so much for this video, it was really informative and you have a very soothing voice lol
Great to hear!
He’s voice is so soothing.
Thank you very much, not intentionally though, just the way i normally speak.
Got my V8 today but the version PRO with great 3 extensions and a bag for all of them (uptop adapter 09:35, flexy with its little brush 02:54). Also got a free offer with 3 special extensions for the car. Super happy! No allergies!
I like when he said "hose" with his accent. Thank you
Great job, mate! Comprehensive, clear and very helpful 👍
Thank you for taking the time to make this video!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for this advice. Too bad Dyson doesn't have some information likes this on their service page.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this video. I learnt heaps and now I understand the different uses of the heads.
You're very welcome!

Thanks so much for the excellent video. Very informative and comprehensive, and nice clear explanation.
Thank you! I didn't know what the extra things were for.
Great simple explanations got 1 for Christmas thank you
My guys voice is so soothing I use it as ASMR.

Thank you for the great information
Owned aV8 for several years and was looking for the up top
adapter for a long time but had no idea what it was called
I just placed an order for one on Amazon
Thank you again!
Thanks for the video! Really helped me learn the ins and outs of my first Dyson!
I found your video useful as I had no idea what to do with some of the tools. I appreciate your time and patience. Dyson should pay you😍
Glad it was helpful, it would be great to paid by Dyson but not yet.
thank you for this, just ordered the Dyson Absolute V8 model because of all the attachments, interesting that folks complain about the over suction, I have low pile carpet so I want all the suction, LOL, but yes the reducer might reduce the complaints as well...
Thank you so much and incredibly normative video. I have the v11 and this has helped immensely.
Thank you for your excellent coverage of the accessories. Fantastic video.
No problem, glad it was helpful for you.
Also am I missing parts from the box? Thank you for your excellent video explanation
Am I the only one that thought this video vas very satisfying?
Thanks was much needed. Dyson needs some tutorials from him
I come to this channel just for his voice. And I am a straight guy!
Really helpful. Just bought my, umm, sixth or seventh Dyson (V11 absolute - woohooo!!) and thought it was high time I got up to speed on this important intel!
Wow, you must love the Dyson vacuums. Hope you are impressed with the V11.
Great job explaining the Dyson tools. It was one of the first questions I ask about. Otherwise, Way to go Dyson!
That's great it was useful for you, thanks for the feedback
Nice one. Aa easy, non assuming explanation. Thanks for this one. Useful definitely. Just would like Dyson to stumble on this and pay you handsomely!
I would like that as well, but i doubt they would do any thing like that with me.
Thank you so much for explaining what each tool does..
Thank you.. now I will use the tools! Great explanations 🎉
@@lords-electrical THANK YOU! I had this question too. Very helpful video.
Great overview of the attachments. Thanks.
Thank you once again for the informative video on the dyson tools it has really helped me understand. I will try to buy thr extra ones I want , I'm from Australia a nd put off using a cordless vacuum but am excited about my V10 only got it yesterday so it's charging at the moment . Your videos are so helpful.
Also Maybe think about doing some playlists by subject matter. Your channel also helped me purchase a new kettle
Awesome I’ve just bought the V11 Outsize and didn’t know the spongy tool. Thank you.
No problem 👍
finally, someone who has made sense of my Dyson - thank you so much, you are a very nice man!
Thank you very much for this. It was very helpful for my V11
your voice is giving me asmr I'm trying to learn but I'm falling asleep lol
gramz SAMEEEE
Thanks so much for your videos. The up top adapter seems to be upside down. When I insert it into the handle, the curved part of the adapter is on the under side, not the upside. Is there a way to change this?
Very helpful, new to dyson and needed help
Superb video, thank you. I'm loving my V10, but some extra tools would make it even better.
Dude I just started the video and I'm already feeling soothed to sleep lol.
Wow! Thank you, finally, Dyson’s accessories mystified!!
Really useful - please can you add V11 Absolute, some new tools added
I liked this video as there’s a few tools I haven’t got. Although he didn’t say you can buy a brilliant adapter so a tool from one model can be used on another, this saves buying duplicate tools. Also I thought he had a very nice voice and explained everything clearly. Best part of video was at the end when he said click below and he actually pointed downward - to probably the best tool not on offer but I wish it was hahaha.
Outstanding video. Apparently I've been using the wrong head on my dyson for cleaning my hard floors. Facepalm!!!!
Thank you very much! I never even touched all the tools ... to much trouble to find out what they were for 😂
Very useful!
No worries!
Excelente. Please do a new one. Pleasant voice and well explained
Please do ASMR your voice is so soothing!
The flexi crevice tool sounds useless to me because it doesn't seem to retain bent shape. Anywhere I can't get with something standard I would be able to get if I had the extending one. This flexi one would be good if it had the replaceable end, which it doesn't seem to have.
