What Metallica album should I react to next ??
Hardwired? Released in 2016
"And justice for all" (Spoiler: the songs are really long on it)
And Justice For All
Kill em all then and justice for all. U can compare the other albums from the 1st album.
And justice for All
This is one of the most underrated songs on the MOP album. The bridge section in this song is insanely well composed.
Yeah that's Kirk's riff one there best for sure a total eargasm
It’s such a hard riff to play too at least for me it is
@JAVI same here, that galloping riff, at least the way James and Kirk plays it, is incredibly percussive and tight AF.
@Fister_of_Muppets😂😂😂
Bridge is my fav metallica riff there is, I love it, esp coming out of the solo when the whole band plays it
"Living on your knees, conformity or dying on your feet for honesty"
Honesty is my only excuse
@@JawsVader1970 tried to rob us of it but it's nooo use
@@schmittyboy0291steamroller action crushing all
@eq1373 victim is your name and you shall fall.
The solo from this song is face melting. Probably kirks best solo.
Nah, Fade To Black has the best solo.
Dyers eve
I always think this songs is a dedication to his band and fans
"Inbred our bodies work as one" - like they all play together to make this amazing music
"Dealing out the agony within" - music helps them through
"Following our instinct not a trend" - do whatever music we want
Then then next verse is about the fans and the band at a concert etc.
Anyway it's my favourite song
how ive taken it as well through the years , just a awesome song . during this tour when going to the concert of course i left with the damage inc tee !!
It’s about the mosh pit. The evolution of Whiplash.
1:44 haha that intro gets a lot of people. The Cliff ambient build up was genius.
Best metal intro ever!
@@SGW4Kagreed
One of the greatest endings to a rock album of all time.
no fucking way you just called this rock
@@shoogydo 🤣🤣 and some people agreed 🤣
@@shoogydo Technically Metal is Rock so they weren't wrong.
Really glad you’re saving Orion for last. It isn’t the last song on the album but it’s one of the best. An 8 minute instrumental masterpiece.
Amen
Word !!! I'm looking forward to it 🤘
I just love how Damage Inc comes crashing down after the epic ride that Orion was. We start with the just-as-epic bass intro, and the we go crazy. Intense closer to say the least. They kept that trend for the nex two records. A powerful closer is always welcome.
@@luisugalde6956 Orion ends/fades into Damage Inc. about as good as is humanly possible. The Puppets album in general is for me the absolute best metal album experience as a whole...despite me being a hardcore fan of Slayer and the other obvious 80's thrash bands also. Metallica wasn't "brutal" in the way Slayer is, for instance, but they still hit VERY hard in all the right areas for damn sure.
Orion is Cliff's swan song.
Had to click on this shit right away. One of their best songs! R.I.P. Cliff!🤘🏻👍🏻
I love this damn song so much. Intense as hell. Heavy as no other. Ends this masterpiece of a record with an explosion of speed and thrash. Just incredible. I could listen to this song on repeat when I'm angry.
My all time favorite Metallica song, No Doubt.🥳
The first Metallica song I ever heard. Completely changed my metal experience. I had never heard this kind of agressive metal and only knew of a band called Metallica through photographs in the Metal Hammer/Aardschok magazine. Way different than Iron maiden, Scorpions, Accept and Judas Priest that I was listening to in the early 80's. They played this song on Dutch radio straight after Deep Purple's Hush on a tuesday evening. I remember exactly when it was, where I was and what I felt. Immediately bought Master of Puppets that they they had just released and after finding out Cliff died I bought my first guitar to try and learn to play these songs.
When I was in High School back in late 80's I was in a Bowling League and we named our team Damage Inc. And to this day when I play any Fantasy Sports Games I use the same name Damage Inc. Love this song!!
One of the most overlooked awesome jam! Great choice 😎❤🤙
Thanks for the reaction. I got to see this tour when I was 15. It was my 2nd concert. One of my all time favorite lines in a song.
F*** It All And F***** No Regrets.
The look when James dropped the F Bomb. LOL. Imagine, sadly you can never hear this album again for the first time let alone hear James cussing for the first time. These are all part of the moments that define us and all we are. 😁🤘
"And Justice for all" from 1988 is a special album by Metallica, despite the bass having been 'faded out' of the mix and filled w/ reverb ... so we heard very little of bassist Jason Newsted (who replaced the late Cliff Burton in 1986)... It was a shame, because the album was the heaviest Metallica could deliver. It was the first Metallica record to chart in the US top 10 and sold 2x platinum on the strength of 1 music video ('One') on MTV.
I second the "Justice" album! Tons of great guitar riffs, solos, and drum beats. I never even noticed the bass missing until years later when it was brought up. "One" is a great song, but "Harverster of Sorrow" is probably my favorite.
@@scrolemodel I agree, the album is amazing and I never had a problem with it's sound or noticed anything off about it until people started criticizing it online.
My favorite Metallica album 100%
Jason was so unfairly mistreated. It's just a shame, they took their grief of losing Cliff out on him, they never dealt with their grief.
Omg I remember that the first time I listened to Justice from an original cassette I thought that the bass sound was too loud. Maybe the analog master for cassette was different?
Please don’t forget ORION! Metallica was known for their instrumentals, and this is the pinnacle of the beast that was Cliff Burton. Orion is a masterpiece, you can feel them pouring their souls into the instruments on ORION!
This isn't the first time that she's accidentally skipped a song on this album. She did the same thing with "The Thing That Should Not Be".
"Damage jackals ripping right through you"
One of the coolest lyrics ever
gosh that intro is an underrated masterpiece. it was fully written by Cliff, and it's about 8 or 12 tracks of bass layered on top of each other.
@@Powerage_86 he wrote the intro for fight fire wth fire, but he isn't credited for battery so he didn't write anything on it
Great reaction great song great álbum.
My favorite Metalica song.
Thanks for your reaction 👍
I always love that head jolt when it kicks in
I got to see members of Forbidden, Vio-Lence, and Machine Head cover this song a few months ago live and it was so damn hype. Every time that pause came up everyone looked at each other and whispered "Damage Incorporated". Such an awesome song. THRASH IS LIFE!
Those guys are my friends
@@bayareathrasher666 Awesome. Did you make it to The Bay Area Interthrashional? One of the best shows I've ever seen.
@@brettanomyces7077 No I missed it at The Great American Music hall, but Chris Kontos and Matt Camacho are two very good friends, so is Harald O
@@bayareathrasher666 Chris Kontos is a cool dude. Chatted it up with him a bit after the Defiance/Boneless Ones show a few months ago.
@@brettanomyces7077 Awesome! So you are local? 707? Solano County?
The layered bass intro by Cliff is a masterpiece 🤘
I remember seeing them perform this live years ago and the light show would definitely have caused seizures if you had issues with that kind of thing. It was amazing!
The ending of this song is perfect. It couldn't fade out. It had to be abrupt as you will see over time.
Orion is Cliff Burton's Masterpiece. Really think you'll love it
the sheer genius of cliff burton and the slap back volume swell intro here on bass. just simply brilliant.
Its my favorite song seeing played live was great.
Watching your reactions to each part is like a vidid dream of watching myself listening to the song for the first time again. Pure joy. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Wow, thank you!
Thank you for saving “Orion” for the last. One of the greatest instrumentals created by one of, if not, the greatest bass guitarist’s of all time, Cliff Burton. R.I.P. Cliff. The music industry would not be where it is without you.
Hell yeah! Here's a like before watching
Nice 😎 one of my favs
This part of damage inc always makes me feel so mellow after a refer
The intro on Damage is all Cliff Burton on bass.
Dealing out the agony within. Is one of the best lines I ever heard in a song.
Was waiting for your reaction when it came on heavy Lilly 😂
This is my numero uno Metallica song. This will always be heavy. Masterpiece!!!
The first time I heard this song I went “I’m gonna learn that on guitar no matter how much I butcher it” and holy shit it’s the funnest riff I’ve learned my forearm goes AHHHHHHHHHH every time. Worth it.
One of my all time favorites from Metallica. I had a crew of people that I hung with and we called ourselves Damage Inc. because of this song
Nice Reaction, now its time to get into the Crushing behemoth that is And Justice For all.🤘
Not until she does "Orion" Cliff Burton's masterpiece.
Pure gold :)
fun fact, cliff Burton loved classical music, many classical music pieces inspired him when making the bass riffs for Orion and damage inc and amethesia, the intro of this song was inspired by Come Sweet Death by Bach, if you listen to it you can definitely hear the similarities
Nice reaction Lilly. Metallica was really on top of their game with the Puppets album. This song still gets me riled up 36 years after first hearing it.
Metallica doesn't need many curse words. But live shows James hetfield let's it fly. I believe the meaning of the song is to live life with no regrets just live
You got it.. 💯%
I can't wait until you dive into ...And Justice For All
KILLER VIDEO! METALLICA RULES AND STILL AN ICONIC BAND AFTER ALL THESE YEARS! METALLICA RULES THIS NEW YEAR!!! 🎼🎸🥁🤘🤜🤛👊😎🙏
When you were talking about the meaning of this song I actually came across a forum that believes Damage Inc fits with Welcome Home (Sanatarium) and the people living in the sanatarium started rebelling against their abusive captors and I can see it they also included that some certain parts of the song seems to be nicknames for people in the sanatarium.
I love your reaction through this song, especially when it first started kicking in…..
To answer the question, Damage Inc. is about being a metaller, and telling everyone else to piss off if they don't like you for being so :)
It's a tight community, and anyone who loves metal, we have their back
Definitely Kill ‘em All. Raw straight forward kick ass rock. Originally to be called “Metal up your Ass” but record company didn’t go for that title.
GO!
Forgot about this one. A full-throttle banger.
Hope you’re having a amazing day
your got it
to me its clearly about the band and the fans as a 1986 crazy metalhead movement, that it most definitely was
Love this song 🤘🤘🤘 my favorite song off this album. I heard you were gonna do Slayer next ooooooohhhh I can't wait!!!!!
The theme music of my youth!!🤘🏻🤘🏻
The meaning is the drive of the music!!
Master of Puppets album 1986- Metallica at their peak. This whole album is enshrined in the Library of Congress in DC as culturally, historically and aesthetically significant in music. Cool. It deserves it.
one of the all time best
My ice hockey team’s theme song/pump us up chant. We’d play this LOUD before EVERY game and sing along.
Definitely put a little fear into every opponents heads before the game.😎🤙
Este tema es un tren bala🚅y el álbum es una obra cumbre de la banda 🎶🎸
"And Justice for All" should be next. It's their first album after their bassist Cliff Burton was killed in a tour bus accident. They had a lot to express.
New Years Eve, San Francisco 1985/86. That was the gig to be at.
This takes me back to my childhood...
Pure thrash!
I always figured this tune was about the "damage' that could righteously follow when someone fights for something they believe in. Consider some of the lyrics: "Living on your knees, conformity, Or dying on your feet for honesty"..."Honesty is my only excuse, Try to rob us of it, but it's no use"..."All flee, with fear you run, You'll know just where we come from"...and especially, "Fuck it all and fucking no regrets!" -- i.e. not being sorry for living by honesty and truth, not sorry for fighting for it even if "Blood will follow blood" in the process. I just don't see any 'anti-corporate' message or tie-in (this was written in the mid-80s, before it became trendy to blame corporations for Everything bad that happens in someone's life).
This song has what is probably my favorite riff on the entire album (speaking as a rhythm guitarist), the one introduced after the 2nd chorus at 4:01. It's wicked, catchy, and just complicated enough to be pure Metallica. 🤘
Damage Inc is in my top 5 favorite Metallica songs.
I've been listening to Puppets since I was 10 years old, going on 36 years and Damage Inc still gets my blood flowing every single time I hear it. Orion is probably the best instrumental from any genre of music I've ever heard as well, if you enjoy Orion you should listen to The Call of Ktulu from Ride the Lightning album, that too is another great instrumental.
That and whiplash
And Justice For All
Absolutely go with …And Justice for All!
Funny you're talking about Slayer next to this : Kerry King from Slayer said that this song had a riff he really wished he composed. His favorite from Metallica.
that was pure heavy metal from the 80's and one of the best albums ever made
I wish I wrote this masterpiece! 💯🔥
The live versions of damage and battery are even better
This is my personal fav ❤❤❤❤ BTW... have you ever seen the video called James Hetfield At Guitar Center? Check it out, its only like 15 min long. But you get a real insight into James the person as he talks about his childhood, and how he appreciates his 'extended family' - the fans. There is also Kirk Hammett At Guitar Center. Kirk gets emotional. They are such normal guys who just happen to be famous.
Watching your face during the intro, I feel like “Hell Awaits” needs to be one of the 1st during the Slayer foray you mentioned taking.
Metallica is a big part of my teen years! An amazing group!
Buena reacción...
😱😱🙀🙀
Check out the second Garage Days, 1987. Great transitional period around the justice album(my fav) - the loss of Cliff devastated the band.
Great video
When the Kings of All Music end an untouchable album with a true thrash masterpiece…..Kerry King from Slayer has crowned the riff in “Damage Inc.” as the best riff ever 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘. I saw them last June playing it in Copenhagen 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘👍. The crowd went crazy 🔥🔥….and trust me; they still perform it so forcefully 🤘🤘
yeah the thing with the thrash sounding is in the 80's 90s they would play thrashly extreme on stages
Girl I love how you listen first before you react but remember not to read too much into the lyrics of this album because James was still coming into his own as an artist and so much of his writing was metaphor in those days and was open to interpretation of the listeners
All I can think of when I hear this song is elite soldiers (Delta, SEALS etc.) getting hyped up for battle.
This song would DEFINITELY get any warrior wound up and ready to kill people and break things.
Yep
When I played football in high school I listened to this song before every game
And justice for all. Just wait for dyers eve. The last real Metallica song.
Dyers Eve kicks so much ass. I think she should do And Justice next and then go back to Kill em All to see where it all started.
How untrue….don’t pretend they aren’t amazing even still
Do ORION next! Metallica's best instrumental!
@Lilly Jane Reacts. Please do "And Justice for All". Its a great hard hitting album. Would love to see your breakdown to these lyrics. Please do this album, you won't be sorry 🤘🔥🎸🎤🥁
Also, fun fact. Those beautiful sounds at the beginning of this song is Cliff Burton and his bass
in the 20's and 30s there was a group within organized crime called murder, inc. this song is a play on that...
Definitely check out and justice for all
Man Damage inc. is just brutal. Like a background song to 2 gangs clashing. Mayhem. Especially when Kirk's solo kicks in. Such a rush...
This song is killer, and even better when you're stoned!
cliff killed it
Cliff is my favorite tallica member
It's all about the mosh!
This song sounds like a bridge from Kill'em All to Master of Puppets.
