I was a 16 year old metalhead (1986), Hanging out at the "Swinging Tree" (a tree with a rope you use to swing out into the lake) at Bell Lake and my friend popped Master of Puppets into his ghetto blaster and instantly a mosh pit formed. It was one of those epic summer moments that live in your memory forever. I remember we swam down to the the city rec canoe club released their wharf and floated out to the middle of the lake with my friends, got the ghetto blaster crank that mutha to 11! Rocked the lake for good 5 hours when the cops finally got a boat in the water. Turns out the cops just dragged us to shore and returned the wharf to the canoe club and gave that look of "We're the cops so we should be mad but City Rec manager is watching so we'll act all pissed but that was cool". Best summer ever!

I first heard this song back in 2011 on TV when the Big 4 (Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax) came to Sweden (Gothenburg) and it was broadcasted on one of our public service channels for everyone to watch who wasn't there or couldn't see them live. Metallica owned that show but they are the main attraction after all. It was near the end of an over 2 hours long performance, the sky had gone black, all the lights in the arena were on, 60-65 000 fans who couldn't get enough and they played this song and I don't remember what happened to me through it, but it was incredible. That performance is the best Metallica performance I've seen to date. They were on point and the crowd gave them a night to remember too. It was simply glorious & spectacular.

I bought Master of Puppets and put it on my brand new Kenwood stereo and almost blew the windows out of my barracks. It blew my mind and has always been my favorite album to this day. My sergeant loved it too so I got to rock out a lot back then. I think I bought Judas Priest's new album Turbo that day too so it was an awesome day all around. Was Kel talking about the brown note? I've heard of it but I thought people were messing with me.

This song has a speed of about 184 in 4/4 time. Edit: I forgot to mention, if she likes the speed of Damage Inc., then she'd probably like Whiplash from KILL "Em All too.
