Hi Mauro. Follow the lower rate which is half pound of nitrogen. The .5# column is the one you want sir. Let me know if I can help with anything else. 👍😎
Hey Ron, my soil is hard as a rock. I've been spray humic and Kelp all last season and its still hard as a rock. My lawn is taking its sweet time coming out of dormancy. I know its probably the sun exposure on the lawn. What do you recommend I put down on it to loosen it up? I'm in Dacula Georgia
Hi Robert. I would look into aerating your lawn with an actual hollow tine aerator. You can rent one of them from Home Depot. It will do a great job breaking up the compaction in the lawn. Your lawn sounds like a prime candidate for a good aerating job. You can hire services to come do it for you too. Thanks for watching the content. Let me know if I can help with anything else. 👍😎
@@RonHenry I aerated the lawn already an it seems as though the guy could only pull up about 1/2” plugs
Hey. What's a good liquid fertilizer that I could use with a 16-4-8 granular?
TurfPlex at 6oz. per 1000 square feet. golfcourselawn.store/products/turfplex-iv-20-2-3-with-seaxtra
So the 16-4-8 at half of the recommended and the liquid the same. And it won't burn the grass?
I see that you have a lighter tone grass. So ? If my fertilizer 16-4-8 give my lawn a darker tone. How will they mix?
If I had a product I'd make you my front man. You need to be doing infomercials or be on QVC. I like the analogy of people eating multiple smaller meals! Nice!
Thanks Zman. I figured and example would make the point I was trying to make easier to understand. It is more work but you get a better result spoon feeding the lawn vs. throwing a ton of nutrients in one go.
@@RonHenry I subscribe to that method. I do granular and Next biostimulants. Rotate the two and do an application of one or the other every 2 weeks.
@@jeffzimmerman25 nice nice Zman. I bet your lawn is looking great. Appreciate you chiming in.
Hi Ron, I just applied prodiamine and Image to my lawn today( 13 Apr 2021) , how long does I need to wait for applying this fertilize? Thanks
Hi Learn to Grow. You can fertilize on the same day. Fertilizer and pre-emergent aren't really linked so you can do them independently of each other. Let me know if I can help with anything else.
@@RonHenry thanks Ron.
@@MyCottageGarden_Natalie no problem at all. Let me know if I can help with anything else.
Doing gods work my guy 🫡
Appreciate it!
Hey ron. So granular fertilizer once a month and turfplex 2 times per month ?
Hi mbiz1117. That’s correct. Granular once. TurfPlex twice.
I used your sprayer link to order an Earthway spreader! 👍🙂 Hopefully it worked.
Very cool Sheril! What where you using before?
@@RonHenry A Scott's edge guard DXL. It was the only choice at Lowe's or HD when I needed one at the beginning of this little journey. Hah! I'm upgrading! 🙂
@@sbender9518 Nice S Bender. You'll like it. I think the Earthway is good value for money.
@@RonHenry I was looking at the Lesco last time I was at SiteOne and realized how bad mine is. Haha. Then when I was applying the CC last week, the lever kept sticking and dropped the product in a few spots. So, that was that. You get what you pay for!
Most definitely Sheril. The Earthway should hold up a lot better than the Scott’s. Lesco’s are really nice but a cost a pretty penny.
When does the application of PGR fit into the spoon feeding schedule? Thanks (as always)
Beginning of every month jameyhaz. This year I’m considering using a lower rate every 2 weeks
@@RonHenry ok, so at the beginning of the month, on the same day, do granular fert, liquid fert, and PGR?
I going to get some Humic Max. Can i use lawn food as my liquid product?
Sure Timothy. I've only done testing with TurfPlex but if the formulation of Lawn Food that you have is similar, it should work ok.
@@RonHenry Thank you. Just order Humic Max.
Glad the LCN sent me over
That’s awesome Tony S. Thank so much for watching sir. I appreciate it.
How does TurfPlex compare to SuperJuice as a lawn supplement?
I've never used SuperJuice so I can't say for sure Frederick.
If i add Humic max and Turfplex. A week later can i add liquid iron or is it to much. i am new at this
Hi shorty you can but there’s really no need. If you want reduce the rate of liquid iron, that would be ok, but I wouldn’t apply it at full rate. TurfPlex already has iron in it.
👍
no more Turfplex? you have something else (brand) but i am assuming is the same or better.
This replaces TurfPlex: golfcourselawn.store/products/golf-course-lawn-20-2-3-liquid-fertilizer-with-kelp-and-fulvic-acid
@@RonHenry beautiful
What is your view on residential hyrdoseeding?
HI Robert. I've never done it before so I can't really offer an opinion on it. Some people seem to get good results with it though. I appreciate you watching the content sir.
@@RonHenry I love your content. You are my go to channel for lawn care
Dang I should have been more patient. I already pulled the trigger on PGF Complete and super juice for the entire season. PGF 3.6 pounds per 1k and Carbon pro G 5 pounds per 1k every 3 weeks, Super juice the week after with chicken feed 5 pounds per 1k, N-ext stem pack at 3 ounces per 1k
No worries Reef Keeping on Budget. If you have a set of products that are working for you, keep using them. You can always try out Humic Max for one of your fertilizations or just wait till next season if you want. Let me know if I can help with anything else. 👍😎
Do the big box stores sell this?
And if not where do i buy this stuff?
Hi Michael. They don't sell either of them. You can get both TurfPlex and Humic Max at Golf Course Lawn Store: golfcourselawn.store/

Great job!! : )
Thanks for watching sir. I appreciate it.
My soil test shows I have very high phosphorus levels in my soil. Are there any products that you recommend that do not have any P in them?
Heya Jerry. A great product that contains no phosphorus is Humic Max. golfcourselawn.store/products/country-club-16-0-8-humic-max-and-mesa%C2%AE-by-lebanonturf-sgn-150 It also contains 8.9% humic acid which helps improve the soil in addition to feeding the grass. It's what I use on my lawn. Thanks for watching sir. Appreciate the support. 👍😎
@@RonHenry I just went to order the Humic Max but you do not ship to AZ! Poop...
@@JBSpine007 :-( Unfortunately not available there as yet Jerry. Not really me as much as Lebanon Turf. That may change in the future though.
@@RonHenry oh so I guess not a mistake then. Oh well. I can mix a few things to get similar.
Did my first cut with Swardman finally.!! Nice cut. Easy to use. A few issues. Will contact the guys.
I have a siteone near my home, and i tried to purchase some humic max,and they said i had to buy it by the pallet
That's unfortunate Dreya. It is available here though: golfcourselawn.store/products/country-club-16-0-8-humic-max-and-mesa%C2%AE-by-lebanonturf-sgn-150 I guess Site One needs a big enough sale for it to be worth it to them. Thanks for watching the content sir.
Enjoy ur content, thank u
Thanks for watching Chuck. I really appreciate it. Let me know if I can help with anything.
@@RonHenry ur backyard looks great, but I watch ur front bc of the severe slope. Do u keep it longer in front? How does it not just wash away?
Hi Chuck. They’re both the same height. .495. If you watch my UA-cam stories (only on mobile) you can see how low the front is.
will leaving the Humic Max for 24hrs before watering in burn the yard? I assume not, otherwise you wouldn't have said to do it :)
Nope. I've never experienced that jameyhaz. No issues with leaving it for 24 hours before watering in.
@@RonHenry thank you
How pet friendly is all of this? I have two dogs that like to eat poop and lay in the grass.
Very pet friendly howitzer. Just keep them off the lawn until the liquid fertilizer dries and the granular is watered in. Thanks for watching.
👍🏻
Thanks for watching Bermuda Brian. I appreciate the support.
Just use urea (46-0-0) or AMS (21-0-0) dissolved in water and spray. Be a lot cheaper.
Thanks for chiming in Matt. Not a fan of straight urea on my lawn. Prefer to also avoid AMS since my I don’t need to lower my pH. The TurfPlex is a great all in one product that also contains micronutrients which is why I chose it.
Can get either to HI :-(
I'm sorry Richard. The shipping there would be horrible. 😬 Your lawn is looking pretty awesome though.
I’m bottle feeding my Bermuda. It’s a girl 🤘🏼
That's good Lawn 2 Learn. 😂 Give it the good stuff if you're bottle feeding. Thanks for watching. 👍😎
Just feel like your channel is turning to an advertisement of products...not the content I originally starting watching you for
Sorry you feel that way BooYayPower. I showed those products because that’s what I use and know the application rates for. You can substitute the products shown for ones you prefer to use if you like. If I’m talking about spoon feeding though, I need to have something to use an example. Otherwise it would be difficult for most people to follow. Does that make sense?
It makes perfect sense to me even though I don't use the same products or have the same type of grass. All the information you provide is on point since I do the same process and helps to keep me on track. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Nestor. The goal was to show a process that’s easy to follow. I may make another video showing how to do this with other products. Not sure if it’s worth doing since I’d really prefer to make content around what I actually use. I don’t want to recommend something and have someone mess up their lawns or otherwise not get a good result.
@@RonHenry I understand Ron, at the end of the day it's up to you. But I would say don't do it. You make things as simple as possible to follow. I'm doing the same process to both my front and back yard using different products. I do have to say, I wish I was your neighbor lol. Lucky Alex.
@@djspicky1 Thanks Nestor. I appreciate it.
