“I’m waiting on the good times now,” said with a smile. What I would give to have met this man.
This episode was filmed shortly after the death of his second wife. That line came from a deep place in his soul.
@@IRLTheGreatZarquonwow 😭
His mother also passed away that same year!@@IRLTheGreatZarquon
Bob was a great and gentle man. He knows he is loved!
Why does that line make you want to meet him more just curious ?
It’s amazing that even in the worst of times he was able to remain happy doing the thing he loved.
its really hard.. maybe my biggest wish in my life..
We're both waiting for the good times Bob, you and me both. God bless my friend. Rest easy..
Beautiful

yes we will miss him :(
Just another random person died of cancer.......of course....
He's not just another random person!!
Bob ross's voice is so soft spoken
So calming and peaceful it takes you into paradise
And that for a former drill sergeant.
This man, this man is something very special to me. Not only am I big fan of these types of landscapes it's like watching a previously hurt man dropping everything and turning to peace.
I respect this man, genuinely this is a man I would have loved to met
I'm always impressed when he never gets paint on his shirt with the way he holds the board
SlyHoop I was thinking the same
Same xD
Its because just like him...his shirt is immortal

What amazes me more than anything about Bob Ross is that he is SO POSITIVE that all of Bob Ross's UA-cam videos have nothing but positive comments. That is truly inspiring given the current status of UA-cam.
true
You know this was on PBS in the 80's and 90's right?
This is a happy place for us Bob Ross fans that keeps us safe from the rest of UA-cam

He is with us forever... I LOVE YOU BOB REST IN PEACE
15 years old, watched probably 15 episodes of this and painting a master piece. He's such a great teacher!❤️
Bob Ross was awesome he was not only an amazing artist but had such a peaceful and soft tone about him while he painted. It was sad he died so young.
I watched him years ago and am still amazed by the ease he can make things happen. What an artist! God bless him.
You know I can't help but notice that bob gets subtly more and more sad as these episodes go on. He was such a kind soul. He didn't deserve the pain he felt in those later years. Bless you bob Ross.
Hes sad because his wife died before this episode was aired
I don't see him as sad im this episode. Can u point out wym exactly?
Chris Reebs listen closely to 20:36 for about a minute and you’ll understand
Pengicitis shit that makes me sad, I understand now :(
Pain isn't meant for those who do or don't deserve it. Pain just happens and what made Ross great was how he dealed with it. Just my opinion
WHEN HE DOES THAT LITTLE GIGGLE THING AFTER HE CLEANS THE BRUSH I MELT
you are right a great wonderful painting 💖💖
Every time i hear Bob say calmly “there” as he adds a little touch, I always feel deep in my soul that it’s like a little reflection of God’s satisfaction when He created our world, and it lifts my spirit up

As long as UA-cam Exists Bob Ross you will always be watched, you and your work will be appreciated, , a truly nature lover,,, always rest in peace 🕊️
I wish I could tell Bob how much happiness he’s brought me, and I don’t even paint. Whenever I’m sad, I just have to listen to him talk and watch him paint.
When you leave your body (die), and you cross-over, one of things you experience is a life review. In this life review you review your entire life, but not just from your perspective, but from the perspective of every since person you have had a positive or negative impact upon. You become them and feel the impact you had upon them. It's deeper than that though, because his love didn't just impact the people that watched his show, there's always a ripple effect. Which means that his kindness makes people feel better which in turn causes those people to treat other people better and so on.
So the soul of Bob Ross has felt your appreciation from Heaven, and every single person his love has touched. The joy he must have experienced is unfathomable.
Love is always the answer.
Same here friend.... he's such a genuine loving person..which is what we need now more than ever
My friend you must definely try!!

Watching this man is a surefire way to lower stress levels. I love Bob. Miss him. 😌
I thought this episode was going to be a sad one since I believe it was after his wife's passing, but Bob still continues to amaze and motivate whenever the times are happy or sad. God bless his soul
samster101229 according to what I found when looking up the dates, his wife died in 94, same yr he was diagnosed w/ cancer himself. This episode was filmed in 91
JustMe215 you found the wrong information.
Jane (Bob’s second wife) passed away in 1992. This was long after Bob was first diagnosed with lymphoma as he had been in remission for over a decade by then. His lymphoma came back in full force in 1994. He married Lynda in 1995 and passed away a couple of months after.
The sadness he was experiencing was likely referring to the illness or passing of his mother, Ollie. She died in February of 1991.
Talk about bn BLESSED W/TALENT
this guy was truly BLESSED 🙏
Rest in peace Mr. Ross. You continue to amaze every time I watch You. Thanks for all of the works You create.
As a artist Bob Ross and many other great artist have given so much to the art world and those learning to paint such a blessing to have them and you tube as a means of accessing there gift of art .
He reminds my grandfather on so many ways...they both left the world so soon and curiously with a year of difference...
Bob was such an inspirational person. But deep down inside I feel like he was very depressed. God only knows what pains Bob carried in his heart. Cant imagine anybody giving Bob a hard time or cause harm to him. May he rest in peace.
Bob's mother died before the airing of this episode, and you can somewhat tell that he was sad, especially at 20:36
CAM MCPHERSON I heard it was his wife, not mother. His wife passed from cancer.

@onalleus cycillyus what
Bob Is a great person but is it just me or is there something bittersweet about his personality
One of my favourite artists. 🤩🌺🌹🌷💘🌺
Bob Ross's painting technique is deceptively simple yet intricate. I enjoy watching such things, but I don't have the courage to attempt them myself. It feels almost magical to witness. It's wonderful.
Bob was not just a Painter he was an ARTIST a God given ability to portray nature as it is. I miss his creations..
I just finished painting this scene along with him, and I am so happy with the results! The first time I just scraped the paint off in rage, and restarted it. I started again and I had to stop twice because things weren´t going well. But today I finally I finished, and I can say that I learned to stop doing the mountains when I don't think they look good, and same with the grass, and go to the next thing. You can always come back and keep going.
Here are some things I learned:
I divided the paint, I put the paints for the highlights on the plastic palette, and the dark ones on a paper plate, and the white for the mountains in another plate (I think I will buy two more plastic palettes because the paper plates are not that great, but they did the job).
I got a lot of brushes! It helped me so much! I had a bunch of brushes for the greens, other for the darks, and like that you don't need to wash them so much and you save some paint.
Also I realized I need to mix the paint well before putting the brush in the paint, specially the highlights, much more oily. And FINALLY my hands are able to use the brush and pallet knife super gently. It only took me 10 paintings to learn!
For the extra paint, I bought some small containers and I put them in there, and into the freezer, like that I can used them for the next painting.
Also I use nitrile gloves while painting, so much easier to clean the paint of off them than your hands.
I even found a place in my yard where i can beat the devil out it! BEST PART EVER!
Now I look at all the little happy accidents, and they are beautiful, because I got to paint, I got to learn, and to do something new.
Bob Ross has been such a blessing for me. His painting advice is aplicable in so many other areas of life, and I never thought I could paint, but thanks to him, I realized that if I like it, and I practice I CAN!
I really recommend everyone to try it at least once (with the right paints and tools). It makes you see what a gifted man he was, and also you see that with a bit of practice you can create a beautiful piece of art!
9:19-9:27 "Be creative when you paint. Just let your imagination take you to worlds that exist only in your mind, but you can put them on canvas." - Bob Ross "Mountain Ridge Lake" 1991 (Season 23 | Episode 3)
Wish you great and bright Times Bob. You deserve all the best. 💖
I watch Bob Ross to help me sleep. At the same time I'm learning about colors. I'm double dipping!!!
Gosh, I miss him so much. Great man gone too soon 😔
I wish I had known you when you were still alive. I truly hope I'll see you in the next life. Rest in peace.
I love this guy what the heck
Honestly, I thought Bob Ross is still alive today because I rarely watched TV after I left high school. I thought he was still entertaining the public with his wonderful painting. In the 21st century, I subscribed, liked, and remember you.
I hope he is painting in heaven. We love and miss you Bob!
20:40 is when Bob becomes sad...who hurt that man 😭
I think at the time his wife had died
He said in yesterday's episode that his mom was sick and in the hospital at the time when this was filmed.
It's after his wife died
David Duff
I believe his wife died in 1993. This episode was filmed in 1991, shortly before his mother died.
possibly also could be related to his diagnoses. as it was found in the early 90s. but think about that. a man who is facing some of the saddest news a person can get, and yet decides to keep bringing joy to the world
What an amazing painter. And I really enjoy listening to his peaceful narrative. Thank you, Bob, for your years of service. God 🙏 bless ❤️ you, Buddy

his wife died the day he made this?
it was after his mom died
According to wiki his wife died in 1993. Since there's 7 more seasons and he died in in 1995 that can't be right.
He made several seasons per year I think. He had like 30 seasons but the show only aired for like 13 years

“I’m waiting on the good times right now”
Wherever he is, I hope he’s happy and with his wife. He didn’t deserve to suffer through something like that.
I think it's a little sad that he didn't know how he is still such an inspiration to people with his gentle kindness. He calms my soul.
He died much too young.
I'm new at painting. I have learned more from him than all the "how to" I've watched. The man is totally amazing.

Amazing! Your way of painting the beautiful scenery is like a poem and your voice is so calming! I love watching you painting. All my stress and anxiety are relieved! Thank you!
That man was an incredible painter. Just fascinated me doing a painting in 20 minutes. He's something else. I tried to buy one of them and was told they all have been donated and that their aren't any available. That was after his passing.

Mr Ross, you are a great artist, poet and psychotherapist! I enjoy watching you painting!
Great. You can learn à lot from this practical demonstration. A picture's worth à thousand words
i remember watching him 2-3 years ago, then i started watching other artists, i got enough courage to do it myself. i just had old poster paints at home they were dry them i mix them with water and used them to create my first ever painting on piece of paper , i was so proud how that turned out. these all events led me to start my own youtube channel . wonderful how things inspire us to start something we never thought of❤❤❤❤
Such a peaceful and soothing voice to listen too.
I've noticed that Bob's mountains look better when he highlights the left side rather than the right side, which is odd considering he saids in several episodes that he preferred to highlight the right side due to being right handed
maybe because he is less controlled on his left side so it looks better perhaps
In mid 90's I've watched Bob Ross on TV joyfully...
Back in early 90s, at the fire hall in grosse pointe michigan. Bob ross was on tv at six thirty in yhe morning. He wou l d start with a blank white sheet of paper. By 7 o'clock, he painted a frameable painting. What a guy.
"The least little touch of cad yellow" at 3:20. Whenever I do these paintings I drunkenly turn that touch into a hideous blob.
you really do have to do like he says, the smallest amount on your 2 inch. Draw out the paint really thin on you pallet, so there's a very small amount, spread out a lot. Then pick it up with your brush. Hope that helps!

Bob always made painting look so very easy. As a child I watched every show that was on TV. Too bad I didn't start painting back then. I'm in my 70s now and just becoming interested again. I know he's in Heaven teaching everyone how to paint his "Happy Little Trees".
