What I find even more fascinating than Zeezrom’s name in relation to the bribe he offered, is the significance of the silver/metal refinement process.
All through scriptures we see this. Silver is impure, it is then heated and pounded until it shines, is removed from the fire, and can be molded and shaped.
Zeezrom underwent a similar process: he was wicked or “impure,” he was humbled through hearing the gospel and being persecuted by evil people in Ammonihah, he becomes sick with a “burning fever” and was “exceedingly sore,” he is then miraculously snatched from the “fire” of sickness and condemnation by messengers of God, and he is molded into a missionary and servant of the Lord.
Truly inspired Zeezrom is “one of silver.”

The image of The Plan of Salvation at 34:49 is not one I've seen before, thank you so much for sharing. I have curated a Pinterest board with various renditions, and I've added Christ to many of them in his stages of life, thereby depicting that He IS the plan, not just a part of the Plan. When I taught the youth in Sunday School, we taught this at the beginning of each class, always pointing to the top right corner of the board, "Eternal Life" written in a cloud. It made a big difference, as you demonstrated also. It is a completely different lens through which to evaluate everything. Thank you, Brother Hilton. Blessings to you and your family.

Chapter 14 ought to be a stark reminder for us everyday that the physical and symbolic death by fire is not gone today. Women and children are still sacrificed by evil.
And in the due process of God's plan all is made whole.
I believe it is section 84 of the oath and covenant of the priesthood. The priesthood can only be controlled by principles of righteousness. So why not now. Because with our authority from God there is no power. All blessings and ordinances in the church and gospel is done through the authority of the priesthood not the power. A very crucial doctrine and Alma exposed eloquently.
It is sad to say that there are still Christian martyrs in the world today.
I would like to make one correction. In President Packer's talk, the second act does not end with death. Here's a quote from the talk, "Act 1 is entitled ‘Premortal Life.’ The scriptures describe it as our first estate (see Jude 1:6; Abraham 3:26, 28). Act 2, from birth to the time of resurrection, is the ‘Second Estate.’ And act 3 is called ‘Life After Death’ or ‘Eternal Life.’"
This distinction, that the second act does not end until the resurrection, is huge for me and my understanding of God's plan.
