Just what I needed today … greatful for the spirit that leads us to good things. The past two weeks at different wards I wanted to hear more reminders of Christ but struggled to pay attention to people share about their lives. Will be saving this to listen more… thanks for sharing so much truth in one place
I really loved the nugget about Jesus being full of grace. This is how He is able to 'strengthen me' through 'all things'. My supply of grace will always run short, but His is infinite. I can dip into His supply when I'm teetering towards losing my patience, temper, goodwill, etc. Thank you for a great lesson!
Br. Hilton, this was an excellent lesson. Christ must know, with his full Godly intelligence, how to actually HEAL our afflictions . Many things we suffer will not or may not be fully be healed here in this Telestial sphere. I imagine a great "hospital" and much healing hereafter. How could He know how to heal these afflictions if He had not suffered them?
Thanks for putting out all your videos! My husband and I watch them every morning after we read our scriptures. We love that you have stories and don’t go over each verse. Love your instagram page too!
Love your Master Classes, I'm always in attendance..also your book Voices in the Book of Mormon is wonderful, it has brought me new insights and new thoughts to ponder. I love the Book! Thank you
I really appreciate the things I'm learning through your teaching method. I remember in Institute class back in the late 1980's. RSVP. READ, STUDY, VISUALIZE AND PONDER! Your study helps have expanded on this so beautifully! Thank you. ❤
Not only are classes " right on" in ways that are easy to understand and relate to but the ' scripture tools' are awesome ! as an older convert I need lots of help and Brother Hilton provides such amazing resources. Thank you : I 'must ' try harder to : prepare, act, and search !!!! This is truly a MASTER class.
I have a question for you, John. You mention seminary often. I have been trying to find a copy of a seminary hymn that was introduced during the New Testament study in the late 1980's...I think the 1988/89 teaching term. I believe the hymn was called "The Voice of the Shepherd", but I'm not sure of the exact title. I just know that (the Shepherd and Voice) were in the hymn and I think in the title. I have been searching for years. I taught seminary from 1985/86 - 1989/90 seasons, back in Ohio. But in my moves, I have lost my seminary treasures and that is one of them. I'm praying you will be able to say, Sara, wish granted!🤗
GoodGod gave me the thought if you want to know the truth, go to Lourdes and ask Mother of God, to ask her Son, to ask GoodGod I am for your GoodGod I Am Plan for you personally, given your name and thank GoodGod in Jesus name Amen 💎💎💎
I was surprised that you did not mention the most basic scripture that shows us how we can receive a mighty change: 2 Nephi 31:17 - the Doctrine of Christ. It is through the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost when Christ bestows the Holy Ghost upon us, and we receive a mighty change and receive a remission of sins. This is a basic step as we get on the straight and narrow path. Then King Benjamin explains this further in Mosiah chapters 4 and 5. Alma tells them that after he received the mighty change, then he continued to retain a remission of his sins as King Benjamin taught (Alma 5:45,46). We know Alma is referring to an event, otherwise you could not answer the question: "have ye experienced this mighty change?" This mighty change is a process, with events along the path as Nephi, King Benjamin, and Alma has taught us. Few members of the church understand how this is done, and I am not sure they are searching the scriptures aggressively enough to figure it out, since it is not taught today in the church.
Layman and Lemuel also saw an angel. But did not profit them. Angels are under the realm of the Aaronic priesthood. The Holy Ghost is bestowed by the authority of the Melchizedek priesthood.
Thank you for each class
Bring joy and insights to me always ❤ 33:27

I love, make time for the scriptures. Are they a blessing instead of a burden. 🤔
Amen!

Hmmm...That's interesting, I've never heard of that hymn, I apologize!
The song is listed in the Music Library on the Church website, but is currently unavailable.

Joseph Smith made this stuff up? How?
Alma 5 closely parallels the Protestant steps to be "Born Again".
Amazingly, Alma uses that exact phrase.
No way Joseph Smith made this up.

Angels are under the realm of the Aaronic priesthood.
The Holy Ghost is bestowed by the authority of the Melchizedek priesthood.
