Oho!!! Why just 20 people likes this class?? 😮Oh dange !!!! I LOVE IT!!! It answered so many questions I had. Specially one part touched my heart so strong. When you explain that everything is new. It doesn't matter our past experiences. Jesus can make everything new for us. We can continue and have new different, better experiences in our life,Regardless of what happened before. I need to learn that!! Kiitos veli Hilton!!! ❤
I love your classes and clips. Thank you for each one. I've been in the hospital for a week and getting help from out side sources. I followed the last class and anything that you do.also other Professors that give instructions other than in the book 📖 Insights from their lives ,and family members ❤️ This means much to me,and I love Art and the 200 years of Art coming out in Utah gallery Hopefully some day I will see such wonderful things I hope these things will be put up in hiding like the books 📚 like Maroni and others have for thousands of years ❤ I listen to the class more than once and scriptures any time I can't sleep. Some times I wake up in pain I pray and listen to scriptures and Yes they help me so very much Low volume and think about each chapter. Each time I partake of the Sacrament I think of the time he gave it the first time, sitting there after the first 12 Then gave it to the rest of the ones that were there in the upper room For it was a large space that women would fix food for him and the apostles and every one else. The passover meal ,then the Sacrament He would have Mother and close friends with him... John's writing on of that night Beautiful meaning all the way through ❤ I think about each part. Bread it's meaning Wine it's meaning His special prayer for the apostles and the rest of his followers disciples. I'm the only one in my house But I'm so greatful for prayer 🙏 ❤ 28:33
I am glad that I watched this video. I really needed it. I have been trying, half heartedly, to do what you just described. I’m so very happy we are studying the Book of Mormon this year. The lesson each week is so timely for my life and gives me knowledge that I can relate to. I love how you teach. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and testimony.
Thank you for the reminder that there is a real power in remembering Him. Remembering helps us to change our behaviors. Also, thanks for the reminder that prayer time is quality time with the Lord. And also quality time for a couple/family.
It's comforting to hear that you are not without weaknesses. Thank you for sharing so good-naturedly. They certainly don't stop you from being such an amazing instrument in the hands of the Lord to bless and enlighten us. I just wonder how many hours'sleep you need per night ; you seem to be doing so many worthwhile things all the time. Keep up the good work, of course, but don't overtax yourself 😊
Thank you so much!! You answered a couple of questions I got for awhile. When I have questions or don’t understand something, I usually wait especially when I have done my part on trying to get an answer. Pondering and reflecting has become part of the waiting or enduring, depending on the situation. But this much I know to be true my Jesus always answers prayers and the healing takes place with an incredible measure of peace as we do strive to remember him in all things. ❤
John, you are a breath of fresh air!!! I love how spiritual you are and yet are willing to share your struggles and imperfections!!! Love it! Keep up the good work!
Thank You Brother Hilton for your hard work and efforts in creating these classes for us. My husband and I look forward to them and listen MANY times throughout the week. Talking about couples prayers we have upped it this past few months by both of us praying when we say our couples prayers. It has been a very special time for us. Thank you again for your time. We love you!
One of the ladies in my ward told me to look at the sacrament table how it is long and narrow. She told me to think every time I take the sacrament that the long and narrow table is like a pathway to our Savior! This gave me a whole new perspective on the sacrament. I am enjoying all that you teach us in these classes. Thanks Shawna
Presidente Oaks once said "the sacrament table represents the tumb of Jesus and the broken bread his body that was broken in peaces for our sins sins. That's why they cover the sacramental table with a white tall, HE laid down for our sins Also when the priest offer you the bread and water is if Jesus was right there offering his body and blood to pay for our sins"
@DelzaPauladaMotaSwallom she made sure that I understood all that, but she was trying to give me inspire during a very hard time in my life. And it helped a lot.
I am grateful for your insights about the sacrament. As a convert, i haven't learned everything, and don't always know where to seek answers for questions I didnt know I had!! Now I better understand that taking of the sacrament is much more than just renewing our covenants. And the sacrament prayer says a lot as well....remembering Him ( lightbulb goes on!). Thank you for the diligent work you put into this channel, and sharing your knowledge and experiences with us all !!
You have deepened my understanding and reverence for the Sacrament. Thank you for this teaching. Not only is partaking of the Sacrament a commandment, but it points us to an eternal covenant. See Moroni 10:33.
Awesome lesson. Going to implement that my prayers to be done early instead of waiting for bed time. Also need to start praying with my wife. Thanks for teaching us.
Outside of the general authorities you are among the best of gospel teachers I've heard.(And I'm old and heard plenty!) Thank you for sharing your personal stories, they are so fun!
This has been one of the most powerful lesson yet... in my opinion!🤗 Brother Hilton, your message has touched my heart so deeply, I couldn't seem to stop the steady, yet tender, flow of grateful tears! Your message has given me an insight for changes in my daily routine to make more sincere and meaningful conversations with my Heavenly Father. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and from the top and every inch of my heart!❤
I do believe that kneeling for prayers are important. However, I cannot do that. My knees are bad and now, they're not even mine. I have knee replacements, so I still believe that's Heavenly Father answers my prayer, even though I'm not kneeling, but I'm still saying a prayer. I'm still talking with him. I talk with him all the time. Heavenly Father listens to me. I feel his present with me most times sometimes I am off I'm grateful to know that I do have a Heavenly Father, hears and answer prayers and my Savior Jesus Christ, who is always there, pleading my case.
I can’t kneel either. Similar issue. He hears you knees or not: it is your soul that is bowing before your marker. It is what you can do and it is acceptable! ❤
Thank you. I was discussing this specific topic with my husband this weekend. How many other sheep were there? Could he have visited many more people? My guess is yes.
Great lesson as always, but I have a question. I was very intrigued by the quote for Elder Anderson about renewing covenants. I tried to look up that talk, but I cannot find it. Are the leadership talks available to read? Or does anyone know where I can find that talk? Thanks! And thank you Brother Hilton!
I encountered this quote from this article: journal.interpreterfoundation.org/the-changing-forms-of-the-latter-day-saint-sacrament/ I hope this is helpful!
I wouldn’t say that the Jews have the words of the Nephites yet. The way the Nephites “had the words of the Jews“ they integrated many of them into their culture (for example Nephite culture is based on Isaiah - see Spencer’s “a word in season “. Alternatively, today, the Jews merely have access to the Book of Mormon. Most probably haven’t heard about it. I guess I am holding out hope that our Jewish friends will embrace and study and add to the Nephite record. I am projecting that meaning on those words.
Correct me please if I’m wrong, but the “Other Other” sheep, would that be the other ten tribes of Israel? We have The Stick of Judah, and The Stick of Joseph, but we have 10 more books to come forth? Love this class!!! As someone who ministers to inactive members, I feel such HOPE for each sister I minister to. I pray for each one. 3Nephi 18:32!!!
Speaking of moving prayer up when I was high priest group leader, and teaching a lesson in high priest group there was a brother that was the oldest man in our ward probably late 90s and he had fallen asleep during the lesson and I did not realize it and I called on him to answer a question that I had posed and he immediately jumped up and said the closing prayer. Not wanting to embarrass him there was only about 10 minutes left. I went ahead and said OK that’s it for today. See everyone next week. It was very funny.

"So that I can eat on fast Sunday"
Couldn't it also be said that focusing on Christ's sacrifice during the sacrament reminds us of the law of sacrifice?
Great insight!
Does Jesus hear our prayers as well as the Father?
