The fact that Argonians get their physical forms from the environment depending where the Hist are located makes me wonder what would happen if the Hist were located in a non-swamp environment such as mountains. Would the Argonians adapt to the environment by becoming an avian-like race? Their possibilities are fascinating.
Little late on this comment, but I wonder what they’d look like if they were in Valenwood? Maybe they’d look like elves named after some aspect of trees....Wood elves perhaps?
@@longdukdon5094 Well, while that might be true, remember we have never truly seen how central or southern Black Marsh really is like. And to be honest the Khajiit are too busy dealing with the re-estabilishment of their two kingdoms as Thalmor puppets to care about invading people from the east. I don't think I ever have more fun than being an Argonian in the Elder Scrolls. Being Immune or having high resistance to Poison and Disease is great paired with their Hist Regeneration daily. Breathing underwater is really cool as well, lol
I think the Hist know (or perhaps evolution has informed their biology), that creating -- let's face it, Godzillas -- to attack the rest of the world is a bad idea simply because the Hist aren't suited for any biomes outside of Black Marsh. If you unleash that kind of force, it will conquer, but when it's done, it will be compelled to return, and it will have been accustomed to conquest and destruction. Great summation of lore points, it is in line with what I have essentially preached about Argonians for years. You brought up the physical changes changes described in the Infernal City books and even refer to current ESO. How could you not capture footage of an Argonian Behemoth? There are numerous examples in ESO. The mid-level boss through Mazzatun Xal-Nur, the Maelstrom Arena Swamp stage boss. Random Behemoths wander around Murkmire as well. They are perhaps the most accurate and extreme depiction of just how much an Argonian can be changed and perfectly support the points you are making.
That story of the ancestors lizard is so trippy, it could remember wandering around like a mindless beast would. Then it drank the sap and suddenly sentience
Two champions, you guys keep putting out great content even with disaster going on down there. As a asthmatic i worry about smoke inhalation, keep safe!
Now I wonder if the argonians have a ritual like the bosmer wild hunt ritual which allows them to turn into terrifying monsters as the argonians are without a doubt the most suited race for such a transformation, and they are likely the most able to under go such a transformation
In my head canon the Hist are a bioengineering sci-fi species. They ”saw” the nifty mobile ten-fingered android forms of the elves and reverse engineered it. The primary purpose of argonians is to move around and experience things and interact with other intelligent beings, and then die and decompose within reach of Hist root tendrils, allowing the Hist to absorb and integrate their accumulated data. They give the Hist a vicarious experience of an approximation of mortal sentient life. The secondary purpose of argonians is to tend and protect the Hist trees. And the reason I believe this is secondary, is that the Hist are generally perfectly able to take care of themselves. Like I said, bioengineers. If something tried to eat on or infect them, the’d just redesign it. In fact, I would guess that the astonishing amount of poison and diseases in the depths of Blackmarsh is the result of Hist terraforming the local biomes for comfort and defense. Tertiary purpose of argonians is, well, whatever they want themselves. They are after all sentient beeings in their own right. If they want to play bone flutes and make frog instruments, or dance, or worship Sithis or write books on the unbearable lightness of being dwemer, I don’t think the Hist mind. As long as it doesn’t interfere with their important functions. I also imagine that the Hist experience time differently. Slower. Their primary communication with their quasi independent lizard biodroids is chemical, histsap input (design tinkering and base motivation) when they are infants, and information absorption and processing after their limited life spans. Maybe there is some real time communication as well, but I imagine that is for special situations. For instance I imagine building pyramids and starting an empire was something the argonians thought of themselves. And the Hist eventually disapproved and shut it down. Maybe they actually talked to some argonians and told them monumental architecture was wrong thought. Or maybe they just tinkered with the histsap and gave the next generations a sense that these big stone buildings were silly and impractical and that mud huts was the way to go.
Maybe they have clutches in warmer climates and with ample Hist sap, but in colder climates without Hist trees they fertilize fewer eggs and carry them as a defense against the cold. Similar in appearance to “live birth.”
My head cannon is that argonian females only have breasts away from the hist trees. Partly so they blend in better (the hist can just do that) but also because the female produces a tiny amount of sap when they are pregnant. Just enough to do everything that argonians need. Also, no nipples, nipples are mammalian, the sap would “sweat” through a gap/gaps in the scales.
Argonians are actually very powerful in Skyrim. Histskin stacks with all the other possible health regeneration things. And Waterbreathing means one free enchanting slot, something that otherwise the Breton get by not having to invest in magicka resistance.
Yup, not even the "great" Tiber Septim with his giant magical robot could conquer central argonia, it is the only independent country since the beginning of the time!!
It is strange how similar the adaptability of the argonians is to that of the nirnroot. Might there possibly be a connection between the hist trees and the nirnroot
So for the next ES game, id like to see something new/different and would like to know if anyone or the guys at fudgemuppet would like this idea: Picking our race determines our starting location and a bit of the character background. This will tie in racial factions, location factions, guilds and such. Now heres the kicker, there will be an avatar of the unselected races in the game doing things either with or against you. Each race would have a reason to have a champion for whatever reason. Say you start as a dunmer. Itd be possible to assinate/hire someone to kill for you any of the other avatars before starting the main game due to the nature of the long forgotten morag tong and ties to the dark brotherhood. Some races would be easier to start but harder endgame and vice versa. And id like to add more immersion based on lore: worship, eating specific foodstuffs, marriage, bosmer problems, khajiit problems, hist lickin, etc.
Elder Scrolls 6 plot- in the hundred or so years after skyrim, the argonians launched a surprise invasion on the Aldmeri dominion, pushing them out of mainland tamriel. They then continue to fight northward, attacking the empire and are the main antagonist faction in the game.

A few questions I'd appreciate your takes on: (1) Did the Hists know about the coming of Alduin and the return of Dragons? Or was Alduin's "banishment" a special case? If they did know, were they aware of the Argonian Dragonborn(assuming of course the player chose Argonian)? (2) The Hists are somewhat connected to Sithis, right? Sithis wishes to bring reality back to perfect nonexistence, right? If the Hists were aligned to that wish, wouldn't the Argonians ally with the Thalmor, and by extension, the Aldmeri Dominion? Could that be the ultimate goal of the Hists; the nullification of the universe? (3) Bear with me here. What exactly does it take to "create" a divine? Tiber Septim only ascended to divinity, becoming Talos, after his death, right? How did the living gods come to be? Were they just mortals who grew to become so revered that they simply became vastly more powerful than a mere mortal? Or were they simply blessed by another divine with ascension? We know a divine's power is directly tied to their reverence, so could it be possible to intentionally "manufacture" a god? Could the Hists set out to do this for the aforementioned purpose of usurping the other Aedra, and eventually cast down the Daedra, eliminating all divines so that none could prevent the nullification?
It's actually not that hard to imagine humans giving birth his egg...becausecwe do. Ours is just soft and fleshy while the Argoneans (and our reptilian ancestor’s) was/is hard. If nature deemed that it would e more advantageous for us to lay an egg that hardened and sheltered a baby outside the body, it wouldn’t be much different to what a woman does now, though a soft egg would be easier to pass through the vagina (even if it was the size of a newborn) then a full term baby, and with less risk to mom, but more risk to the little cell clump as a baby in an egg is more vulnerable than a baby in a human.
Hey guys, I've recently stumbled upon your channel. And I've been really digging the Skyrim and F4 builds because I love to roleplay. Any chance you guys could include character presets in the future or even existing ones? That'd be very much appreciated.
Are the Hist potentially Ehlnofey/Aedra who were bound to Mundus and didn’t escape to Aetherius with Magnus? It’s cannon that some of the original spirits cut themselves up into different forms and bound themselves to Mundus in order to keep it in existence. It’s also cannon that Mundus is said to be made up of many other worlds, one of them being the Ehlnofey world, which survived mostly intact (which would explain why the Hist are only in black marsh)
So the lore stuff is cool and all, but I came here initially for the builds and have been around since you had less than 25,000 subscribers so I can understand trying to do other stuff but I still want my builds

The sky use to be ever changing and the running water looked so real. I'm seeing glitches lve never seen in the first 3 dozen play through's. Disheartening
I’d like to see Black Marsh post Oblivion Crisis. If the Daedra had to close the gates on their end, does that mean some Argonians were trapped on the Oblivion side and can those those Gates can be reopened?
On a unrelated note, i have a theory and would like some feedback on it. The upcoming Skyrim expansion for ESO i think is going to be a 2 year long release with Western and Southern Skyrim released in 2020 and Central(whiterun) and Northern(winterhold and solstiem) released in 2021 in time for Skyrim 10 year anniversary. Also i think greymoor2020 will be based on Vampires but maybe Solstiem will be Werewolf or Werebeast based and maybe have a chace at picking a new werebeast to ultimate werewolf with, also the College of Winterhold will definately play a major role in 2021 storyline which i think will have something to do with the Aeonstone power.

(1) Did the Hists know about the coming of Alduin and the return of Dragons?
Gods may he created but only by yourself achieving Chim. That god may then gain or lose power depending on worship received.
2) Sithis is the force of change. There is no constancy in it. To return to non-existence is to return to constancy and there can be no constancy.
They may have known and not acted, knowing it was the Dragonborn's destiny to defeat Alduin.
Or they may not have known.
They are my favorite race to play and in general
The great potential of defense against whips hitting their backs for bad work
Argonians will be the next superpower of Tamriel.
I’m gonna go eat some tree sap and see if I can turn into a lizard
Hey guys, I've recently stumbled upon your channel. And I've been really digging the Skyrim and F4 builds because I love to roleplay. Any chance you guys could include character presets in the future or even existing ones? That'd be very much appreciated.
Are the Hist potentially Ehlnofey/Aedra who were bound to Mundus and didn’t escape to Aetherius with Magnus?
It’s cannon that some of the original spirits cut themselves up into different forms and bound themselves to Mundus in order to keep it in existence. It’s also cannon that Mundus is said to be made up of many other worlds, one of them being the Ehlnofey world, which survived mostly intact (which would explain why the Hist are only in black marsh)
you heard it here folks, The Elder Scrolls 6: When Argonians Attack!
I really hope that the next iteration of the argonians in es6 take after the argonians in eso cause ngl they look sick
Could you possibly put all your Skyrim lore content into a playlist?
Nihilistic, adaptive, transgender reptilian spies - Note to self: Make an Argonian character called Double Trouble.
Mese Ktet sounds like most of the girls at my highschool.
Sounds kinda like myself lmao xD
I don't always wear leather boots but when I do it's Argonian leather.
It wandered listlessly? No. It wandered histlessly.
So the lore stuff is cool and all, but I came here initially for the builds and have been around since you had less than 25,000 subscribers so I can understand trying to do other stuff but I still want my builds
or at least a lets play or something then again skyrim has really been showing its age recently so perhaps a change in content is due
*Alligator Deathroll*
New fudgemuppet is immediately like
kind of funny they pretty much just have the ninja turtles backstory
BROOOO PLS MAKE A TUTORIAL ON THE REMASTERED GHOSTBLADE BUILD FACE:(
One of my favorites to play as in Skyrim. 👍
Beautiful as always, l sure wish the vanilla, unmodded game was a quarter of the quality of your videos. I'm getting stuck in rock floors and walls like never before. The sky use to be ever changing and the running water looked so real. I'm seeing glitches lve never seen in the first 3 dozen play through's. Disheartening
The sky is worse now...? But yeah, Bethesda always was pretty lame, they just had the luck to have some very creative people working there.
Did you heard Argonians ? They invaded OBLİVİON OBLİVİON !!
if they do make a elder scrolls 7 I hope it's in black marsh, I would love a game like that
Argonians are the best race next to khajiit. Especially in eso. I can swim faster than most can sprint. Everywhere has water.
isn't somebody who studies Argonians and the past of black marsh a.. Hist-orian?
KHAJIIT AND ARGONIANS forever!!!!!!!
I’d like to see Black Marsh post Oblivion Crisis. If the Daedra had to close the gates on their end, does that mean some Argonians were trapped on the Oblivion side and can those those Gates can be reopened?
They are probably thriving and just own that part of the Dead lands!
The lizards are my favorite race.
Do a video about kothringi please
11:30 that alliteration was tasty
*Lusty* *Argonian* *Maid*
I do not think so. I think that next year ZOS will intruduce some parts of Hammerfell or some parts of Cyrodiil.
@@mechkota idk i think the 10 year anniversary tie in is the lynchpin im thinkin we see more hammerfell in eso when TES 6 starts gets more buzz n release footage ie 2022/2023ish
@@matthewbush1233 I do not think that they are going to use the same province next year. Hamerfell is the best choice cuz it is a desert and it is the opisite of skyrim.
Great video! But since it said Skyrim i thought it was about Skyrim.
Got it. So Argonians are the in-game canonical reason a player can be leader of every faction, master of every fighting type, a master wizard while being a master fighter, etc. The Hist grew them that way. Also why we have players-guide knowledge of any event we enter; Hist overmind and memory, downloaded into the Dragonborn. And for the 'Last Dragonborn' Argonian, the Hist put together a bunch of them, looking like every race, just to see how they would work and be accepted.
Master race incoming.
That's cool
