You know the worst thing about the Ayleids? While the sload and dwemer typically aren't capable of feeling emotion, the Ayleids can...they have standards of morality and sentiment. It takes a special type of cruelty to act out deeds so blatantly evil while maintaining a centre of emotional thinking.
I'd say its whatever that doesn't have ties with the Aedra and Et'ada since they wouldn't really have a grasp of what is 'good'. Such daedric races like the Dremora just love to mess / torture mortals. Thou since the list only consists of races of Nirn, the Ayleids and Sloads are definitely high contenders
@@wiibrockster The Sload were last seen in Tamriel in 1E 2260. Threatening the entire of man and mer with a plague. Had they succeeded - everything on Tamriel would be dead.
Dremoras have standards that even the Sloads and Ayleids would find useless and annoying. A high ranking Valkynaz would find infanticide rather self destructive. It also depends on which realm the Dremora came from. A Dremora from Sanguines' realm would have a different set of values and beliefs compare to one from Molag Bals' realm. For example, the Dremora from Sanguines' realm would try to seduce you to show you a good time in the chambers, while a Dremora from Molag Bals' realm would simply just rape you. Please, don't stick all of them into the same boat. Some are "friendlier" (as friendly as a Dremora could get) than others... they are definitely better to associate with than any Sload or Ayleid that's for sure. Anyways I wouldn't call all Dremora as the cruelest. Again, it depends on the realm they are in.

Can’t agree with that last choice, Ayleids are certainly cruel but calling them the cruelest is a little too much. For example, some Ayleids were good who helped Alesssia in her rebellion. Also many of the sources stated about their cruelty, is from their enemies and could be propaganda
That depends on your perspective I guess. In compairment to Sloads, they actually knew or had the ability to know it better, why the Sloads had little to no feelings/emotions from begin with. That is, if that statement is correct, since Sloads are also still a mystery to it. Ayleids also choosed the Daedra, no matter good or evil, just for proceeding in their advancements. Even enjoying their tortures, and trying to make it their Art, and inventing new methods for that. It is also worth noting, that the Lords adding Alessia, maybe did that not truly out of sympathy, but maybe because they had forseen that the war would be lost. After all, their own people mostly fought civil wars, amongst themselfs, which always weaken empires and give oppertunitiys to rebelions. Or they were part of the group ( whereever secretly or openly), once cast our for not worshipping the Daedra, and thought to take controll, after the defeat of their enemy. But of course like many things, that is only speculation, since we haven't seen that time with our own eyes.^^
Using their definition, the Ayleids are worse. The Sload don’t seem to have a concept of “happiness” or “pleasure”. There is a practicality to murdering a bunch of people when your a necromancer. There is no practical purpose to the things the Ayleids did. They literally turned torture into an art form, and gained nothing from it. I don’t know about you but “gut-gardens” and “set ablaze for night time tiger sport” sounds worse than a plague.
Dragons are a bit more aedric to be called a race don't you think. I mean they are mearly fulfilling their purpose. Only paarthurnax managed to overcome his nature through the teachings of the way of the voice.
@@isiraratnayake9491 I think that is a good explanation to why they might not be 'cruel'. They see it as their divine birth right, being made i the image of Akatosh, to dominante humans. But they are still often counted as one of the races.
Dragons aren't cruel, their nature is to dominate and to recognize if someone is stronger than them and respect it, I mean they are far stronger than humans, so they dominated them because of their nature, but since they wanted to dominate and not kill they asked to some humans (Dragon Priests) to become ambassadors so Dragons could rule without a rebellion every 2 seconds. This way they created a whole society, they aren't cruel at all, they just follow their dominating nature
Totally unrelated but wouldn’t it be cool if there was more races of children in elder scrolls six like maybe some orc children or a young khajiit maybe you could even adopt some
Many innocent High Elves died when Tiber Septum used the Numidium and annihilated the Summerset Isles despite at that time the Altmer were remaining out of the way of Tamriel on their islands and were actually in a truce with him. He broke the agreement he had with Summerset and backstabbed them with the Numidium incident, so how the hell is he not the bad guy? How are the Altmer the bad guys here??
Problem with the argument of the Ayleids as the cruelest is the Ayleids were not an unified culture. They had many city-states, and each had a different pantheon of Aedra + Daedra, and some were cruel while others were not, largelly depending on which daedra did they worship. Some were allied with the human rebellion and continued to live in Cyrodiil as vassals to Alessia, until the imperials (who somehow dodged this list) murdered them all for religious reasons. How are altmer and BOSMER honorable mentions and not the imperials?
Fuck, I love you guys! You're my kind of lore channel, you don't just recount the information, you weave it into stories and lessons in true elder scrolls fashion and theorize about the gaps in lore...Last time I enjoyed a game series this much was going through the Dark Souls series at release with EpicNameBro and VattiVidya...games really do have the power to allow people to learn real lessons and live hundreds of lives in the span of days. They're not slow to consume like books and are immersive rather than passive as movies are. That being said, one name always struck me as out of place: The Ruddy Man. Yeah, ruddy means red and the dreugh are red, but there are a lot of words for red-like colors. We know it's Molag Bal because it's a red man and not dreugh but, just now when you mentioned them I thought...hmmm...Kinda sounds like rudder man, like the person steering the ship...then I had another thought...Dreugh are crustaceans and don't have lips, how would we know what their god is called? Perhaps they were trying to chant Mo-lag-Bal and some historian overheard it and interpreted it as Ru-dy-Man because, red and bad annunciation....
Wirr Ling Plan to wipe all humans out, the planet, their Gods and any evidence they ever existed. Even if Shor is truly evil, Humans as a rule aren’t. I know that’s the Thalmor not the Altmer, many Altmer are still going along with it
I am currently trying to find surgical masks for all my settlers in FO4 but after 100+ hours of scavenging I have only found three, and so I'm back in Skyrim again for the umpteenth time.
Off the top of my head? Dremora...sload...dwemer...dunmer...ayleid...falmer... Oh, and obviously the Daedric et'Ada like Bal But I think grouping every member of an entire race with the handful of people who did some atrocious things is a bit unfair. Not every snow elf participated in the massacre at Sarthaal, not every dunmer is a slave driver, hell, I'm sure if you looked hard enough, you could find a sload or dremora who's actually a pretty chill dude. The dragons enslaved mortals, but Paarthurnax helped the humans rebel. And while I'm at it, let's not excuse the bad deeds of individuals just because the rest of the race is considered good. The altmer are considered the peak of culture and sophistication, but the Thalmor commit systemic genocide. The bretons are a race with a rich history and a culture that encourages a "be the change you want to see" attitude, but does that excuse the Reachmen who pillage, murder, and make weapons from human remains? Even the Aedra gods aren't so holy. How many times have people been robbed of normal lives by prophecy? How many times have the Divines decided to just stand by while mortals suffered on Mundus, only getting involved once the people start praying for help? Don't judge entire groups by the actions of individuals
If I kill a Daedric Prince like killing Mehrunes Dagon, what will happen? Will nothing happen or will I absorb his power thus making me the next Prince of Destruction? What do you think?

Dumac Dwarf King did it by using kagrenacs tools on the heart of Lorkan making 99.9% of the dwarves dissapear (Clearly stated in Morrowind and Skyrim). And the Alyeids? They were wiped out by the Alessian Revolt in Cyrodiil because they brutally enslaved all the needic humans there (stated in Oblivion). And the Alyeids that were not wiped out there were massacred by the ancient Yokudans who will later become redguards. The Alyieds that escaped the slaughter by the Yokudans went to high rock, interbred with humans to create the Bretons. Nords had nothing to do with those "genocides"
@@jamesdavidson9327 So say the Nords. We only hear one side of that story, and it's clearly inaccurate. Do you really think the Nords built a city on an unused and uncontested piece of land and then the Eye of Magnus just happened to be there? @@MinishMoosen The Elves didn't warn them. They saw the Nords as lesser beings. They very much thought the Nords were barbaric and incapable of communication and they spoke very different languages. @@cathemeraltheenby6840 I didn't think about the Tsaesci, but that may just be my bias, they seem very intriguing to me, but they actually did some good (helping the Empire in the absence of an emperor, killing dragons and overall aiming for the good of the Calpa Cycle and Tamriel
what made the dwemer bad
At the time of Skyrim it's definitely the altmer but practically every race has committed a genocide or two over the years
What's a little border massacre between neighbors?
I think the list of races(playable) that comitted genocide is actually pretty small. The only ones I can think of are the Nords and Imperials. It is also debated if the Argonians have as well, but it's not conclusive.
@@thealien2437 Redguards comitted genocide as well. Probably way more than the Nords. The lefthanded elves, and non Redguard race that was in Hammerfell during the time.
@@thealien2437 of the playable races? if you're counting the entirety of their history then definitely the redguards have committed at least 1 genocide. the nords vs the falmer. you also gotta remember that the dunmer and altmer have had a major hard-on for enslaving other races.
@@thealien2437 The Argonianian massacred the Dunmmer after the erupt of red mountain. Basically the slaves revolted and Argonia invaded southern Morrowind massacring all the way to MournHold. Brand shi quest in Riften hints at it and I believe the guy from house Redoran in Solthiem talks about it.
Also Argonia did massacred the Deadra during the Oblivion Crisis but that is badass and less evil.
Pretty much all the races except the beast races, and maybe the Bosmer.
Bosmer eat eachother.
They eat others as well, read a dance of fire
@laughing nuke oh and they eat everyone else too. Just no plants. At all.
But is it cruel to eat all meat? People know it's going to happen and the bosmer don't actively raid people in order to eat them
@Wirr Ling i see what you mean, but i still wouldnt classify them as "not cruel" and line them up with the argonians and cat people
The Dwemer are definitely one of the cruelest I don’t think they ever did anything that benefited anyone but themselves.
“Khaleesi says kill the masters!”
-Old Argonian Proverb
I'd say its whatever that doesn't have ties with the Aedra and Et'ada since they wouldn't really have a grasp of what is 'good'. Such daedric races like the Dremora just love to mess / torture mortals.
Thou since the list only consists of races of Nirn, the Ayleids and Sloads are definitely high contenders
I'd count The Dwemer too. Look what they did to The Falmer
@@wiibrockster The Sload were last seen in Tamriel in 1E 2260. Threatening the entire of man and mer with a plague. Had they succeeded - everything on Tamriel would be dead.
What about the tsaesci they enslaved Dragons
@@wiibrockster falmer deserved it
Dremoras have standards that even the Sloads and Ayleids would find useless and annoying.

I am on my first playthrough of Skyrim (I didn't know how fantastic it becomes with the right mods) and yesterday I slaughtered a whole camp of Thalmor - like 30 of them. It was a bit much even for me. I was going to go back to an old save until I discovered what they were doing in the basement levels. Then I wanted to kill more of them.
That's the thing about the Thalmor: you never kill enough of them, but you can very much try.

Can’t agree with that last choice, Ayleids are certainly cruel but calling them the cruelest is a little too much. For example, some Ayleids were good who helped Alesssia in her rebellion. Also many of the sources stated about their cruelty, is from their enemies and could be propaganda
Yeah IMO the Sload are a lot crueler than the Ayleids
The ayleids enslaved all humans/humanoids. If it wasn't for whitstrake who knows what would have happened
We all know what molag Bal does. That's enough for me
I would have thought that the dragons would have been on the list.
@@lidular I almost forgot. The dragons weren't really cruel. It was after miraaks betrayal that they became mistrustful.
This way they created a whole society, they aren't cruel at all, they just follow their dominating nature
are humans cruel for farming cattle? it’s in the dragons’ nature to dominate mortals, Alduin was the only truly cruel one imo
Totally unrelated but wouldn’t it be cool if there was more races of children in elder scrolls six like maybe some orc children or a young khajiit maybe you could even adopt some

Good one.
@@thalmoragent9344 Excellent question with a simple answer: /watch?v=v6owEGMI4xM
2:07 I felt that
Problem with the argument of the Ayleids as the cruelest is the Ayleids were not an unified culture.
Apparently being the most expansionistic and arguably most greedy race doesn't count as cruel lol.
You guys should remake and/or make builds for all the divines and the daedric princes that would also give you guys some videos
I knew the cruelest were gonna be those eight-loving wackos.
After watching all of shoddy cast I'm glad I found a new lore channel
I have so much appreciation for the TES lore, one of the few fantasy settings where it's the Elves that are the biggest assholes.
Is it weird that I like to put on this playlist and do my nails to it?
not at all
Fuck, I love you guys!
Jordan Peterson says even Dreugh have hierarchical value systems similar to human morality.
Altmer, Ayleids, Dwemer and the Sloads.
Definitely bro, I'm with you there 100%
Add the Dunmer as well
So most of the elves
@Wirr Ling Created the Bretons through rape, slaughtered quite a few Bosmer. They lie about everything pretty much.
Oh, and obviously the Daedric et'Ada like Bal
But I think grouping every member of an entire race with the handful of people who did some atrocious things is a bit unfair.
Yeah I think the dudes who gave dark eldar slaneshi vibes take the cake. Sanguine must've been crazy strong back then
If I kill a Daedric Prince like killing Mehrunes Dagon, what will happen? Will nothing happen or will I absorb his power thus making me the next Prince of Destruction? What do you think?
He is a god. How can you kill a god? What a grad and intoxicating innocence...

The Atmornas are also speculated to have abnormaly large height and strength. Ysgramor was using Wuthraad with one hand while in Skyrim we see it being used like a 2 handed battleaxe. Doesn't make sense how he was using an axe with a pommel that large with 1 hand tho

Something had to have been built there before the Nords took over. Did they steal it from the Snow Elves? Did the Snow Elves warn them not to build there? There were for sure details and events that Ysgrammor didn't include in his story.
@@MinishMoosen The Elves didn't warn them. They saw the Nords as lesser beings. They very much thought the Nords were barbaric and incapable of communication and they spoke very different languages. It is also known that the Snow Elves feared the Nord's fast reproduction rates. So the eye of Magnus was very much the excuse Snow Elves needed to massacre the ONLY Nord settlement in Skyrim.
