Drew Sample you ain’t convincing us that simple Wars and ancient math is cooler than a tree that has a telepathic connection to all of their lizard children, who feed off of the trees hallucinogenic sap that gives them uncanny mental and physical abilities. Abilities that give them the strength to defeat and scare one of the most powerful Daedra in existence. Nor is it cooler than a red diamond that contains so much power resonating in it that it can be used to turn a mortal into a literal god, or makes an entire race to leave existence itself. I can keep going if you need a more thorough explanation on why Elder Scrolls lore is much more interesting.
The Inquisitor is a Mage no, not really if you’re playing Morrowind, Oblvion, or Skyrim. But the Khajiit version of Mehrunes Dagon, and all of their other gods, are absolutely cats lol. Mehrunes Dagon in the Khajiiti Pantheon is Merrunz (lol). My favorite is their version of Sheogorath, called Sheggorath, the Skooma Cat. And you can look up a picture of Sheggorath RIGHT NOW, and you’ll find that Elder Scrolls Online actually _did it_ lol. They made Sheogorath as a cat. He has this ADORABLE little Sheo outfit that just makes you cry tears of joy 😂 There’s a whole questline based around Sheggorath tricking other Khajiit, and you have to figure out who is responsible for it.

Mary Stone hahahahaha I’ve never even thought about whether catnip was in the Elder Scrolls or not. Damn, now I really want to know lol. And that’s a pretty interesting question you bring up, I wonder if skooma and moon sugar are tied to Sheggorath and/or Sangine, or maybe even Lorkhaj (because _moon_ sugar could possibly be related to the moons, which themselves could possibly be dead pieces of Lorkhaj/Lorkhan). Huh. Oh wait, maybe it could even be the _AEDRA_ who created those substances! Y’know, because they’re the gods who stuck through the creation of Nirn & Mundus to the very end. They’re the ones who created Nirn, but then again, those substances could also have been made by some of the Et’Ada before they fled from Mundus and became the Magna-Ge. Or if not them, and if not the Deadra, and if not the 8 major Divines involved in creation, perhaps it could have been one of the very first spirits to transform into the Ehlnofey (aka the “earth bones”), like Y'ffre/Jephre/Y'ffer (depending on which race you ask), who according to the lore, “was one of the strongest of the recognizable spirits that crystallized shortly after the beginning of time, and played an important role in the coalescing of the physical world during the Dawn Era”. Y'ffre gave rise to the rules and principles of nature and life on Nirn, which is undoubtedly a tall order, but since he was one of the strongest, it makes sense. So by that logic, one of the lesser Ehlnofey could have solely dedicated him or herself solely to the creation of drugs on Nirn hahahaha 😂😂😂 Do you see what you did to me? I’m theorizing about which god(s) created the drugs on Nirn lollll
I love how their religion basically defaults you into a life of adventure and intrigue. Very fitting for a cat-race in a poetic sort of way - and also just a generally cool philosophy stemming from their whole creation story. And when you look at where they are in existence as a whole, you almost believe it all yourself. That gets even more interesting to think about when you are aware of some of the deeper takes regarding the nature of reality and the universe in ES lore. You start going back over how much of it is essentially made real or pivotally aligned by collective belief. And then there's ideas of what it ALL is... the backdrop for this reality that lives simultaneously inside and outside of each and every individual experiencing it. Every race winds up conjuring up a space in existence, which changes them as much as they change it. And it's not all that abstract! In the ES universe, this can happen in very real ways. Once you understand that, a whole pandora's box opens. It's very ripe for meta.

@@tlaloqq Rome is really interesting. You can't even really talk about "Rome" in a generalized way. The question then becomes "Which form of Rome?" Being as old and as old-lived as it is, it has existed in many different states. It's a bit like trying to see all of the countries in Africa as smaller parts of one big thing, when conditions and cultures vary drastically across the continent. Even the Roman cities themselves tell that story. You can see pieces of different civilizations stacked on top of each other in the very bricks and stones - all part of the empire known as Rome, but very obviously not the same Rome. It's interesting how you can sometimes see the splits in distinct eras right in the same buildings, and through them, all of the changes in people's lives and attitudes between them as well. Fun fact: the Khajiit (along with the Nords and Bosmer) are considered to be one of Hircine's favored races. The reasoning for this is that their way of life ties in the most with Hircine's teachings and values.
16:30 Kenarthi flew across the many paths. This Year in ESO new chapter Gold Road there is a new Deadric Prince, called Ithelia. She is the Deadric Prince of the Untraveled Roads an she can access the Many Paths. Acording to Ithelia the many Paths are Possibilities, probabilities, places where fate takes a different course. Some lead to here, others to there. And a few, they lead to elsewhere. Its like a diamond that somehow formed around a spiderweb. Interweaving lines within a grander, fixed shape. That is the Many Paths.
just 100k subs left! definitly well deserved. been watching for like 3-4 years and constantly been putting out really good, fun and interessting videos. keep it up guys! :)
It would be absolutely hilarious, and sobering for the humans & elves, to find that everyone was descended from the Khajiit instead of it being the other way around. I think the Aldmere would take small issue with that.
Going to roleplay in Skyrim for the first time, unarmed build in vanilla Skyrim, with the new anniversary edition, very helpful lore videos, always loved these but never explored the kajiit until now
rewatching this and to be honest a book on the history and religion from the perspective of the races sounds great, essentially a written version of these videos but in great detail with references and quotes would be amazing, like a book on khajiit from the origins, wars, slavery and impact on the world would be something I would Definitely buy
Idk if I phased out for this, but worth noting that Lorkhaj was also described as a sky spirit in "The Sky Spirits" by Amun-Dro. The Moon Prince and White Lion.
It would have been interesting if one could ever have a conversation with Namira and she tells of her hand in Lorkhans early days since she is the great darkness for the Khajiit. I think there are so much you can do with Namira and her sphere that I hope gets delved into in the future.
this is my favorite of all your videos. many rewatches. such a good story :) just got wintersun faiths mod (based on y'all's recommendation); loving it. Trying to decide a balance of rp and pragmatism for my khajiit light-armored warrior. re-watching this for reference. :)
lol just when i was having a conversation on my race tier list some khajiit fan where displeased with the description i used to nominate them in the bottom great video
Azura knows the names of every Khajiit that has ever lived, lives, or will live? *Looks at furry Fandom* *Looks at meme culture* Azura, I am so sorry you have to go through this. At least my names are normal-sounding for Khajiit.
There's a lot you can knock ESO for, but gotdamb if it didn't finally give us some beautiful shots of Elseweyr. And I mean not just Elseweyr, getting to see every part of Tamriel in glorious 3D graphics has been such an awesome benefit of the game.
I wonder if the Lilmothiit had a similar religion and pantheon as the Khajiit? I struggle to find any lore on the Lilmothiit at all and I would love to know more about the vulpine race we've never gotten to see, they have the same suffix at the end of their race-name, so it makes me wonder
I would not in the slightest bit be surprised if there're some Lilmothiit hiding somewhere in either Black Marsh or possibly in Oblivion. Don't hold me to it, it's about as possible as finding out where Vivec went
@@heavenbot Me either. I've searched and searched and searched on ESO, because of were being very technical, the Khanatan Flu raged for somewhere between 30-50 years depending on your lore sources (I like to think 35-40 it's a middle ground) and during ESO, it's set during the middle/ass end of the Khanatan Flu. What little lore over found say the shorelines and marshlands to the souths of Lilmoth were a heavily populated area, as well as Blackrose. The mystery of the Lilmothiit is one of my absolute favorite things to ponder over
@@maxmurray1347 I personally wouldn't go so far, though I see why some people would jump on it lol idk it might ruin the fun of the mystery of they were to make a game to solve it. Isn't it much more satisfying to sit and go "Aha!" only to find new evidence, new dialogue, new scripts? As much as I'd love answers, I'm perfectly content to simply look for the answers without the need to actually find them
always found it interesting that khajit beliefs differed from the standard beliefs of men and mer but oddly had conections to the chimer/dunmer and bosmer
You think it's possible to make an Elder Scrolls geography series? I only played Skyrim and I would like to be familiarized to the other nations in Tamriel
So the lest few gods mentioned here were once mortal who later became revered as gods, doesn't that mean that the Thalmor should ban their worship like Talos because they are mortals and not gods?
One question though, do the Khajiit acknowledge Clavicus Vile? Do they have a different name for him, and IF they do, which litter did he come from? If he's not a part of their pantheon, do they have a similar one?
My favorite race and religion and alot of it makes sense. One point is that one the woodelfs and only wood elves can change, change into a beast of the hunt.
I love everything about this video except for the shots of Jone and Jode's shadowed parts obscuring the stars behind them; ESO dropped the ball hard there.

Iv only recently started watching your videos but have gotten hooked on all the crazy lore of Skyrim. Keep up the good work man, you’re doing great!
Such a beautiful creation story. Also beautifully narrated by Drew of course.
A little off subject, but I greatly appreciate your channel. Something about your voices and presentation relaxes me and greatly aids in falling asleep. Something I've always struggled with
I do the same thing. 💜 Good luck sleeping!
This one thinks this content is......purrrfect
Love your content fudge :D keep up the great work and thanks for teaching us lads all this amazing lore :D
I'd like to ask you guys how you chose the channel name 😂 I'm genuinely curious. Another awesome video!
You guys do an amazing job in doing justice to the rich lore of the Elder Scrolls world, with every new video you release. It's so awesome to see my own passion for Tamriel expressed in these videos in such a genuine and professional way! Always looking forward to more of your content! :3
You cant have shadows without a little light...
It's okay. Khajiit can have a little light as a treat
??????????????????????????????????????????????
Exactly the difference between Noctournal and Namira
This one appreciates your work scholar. May Jone & Jode guide your steps.
Started again the vanilla gameplay and still love the old videos of yours! Much love from Brazil! 💚🏹
I like that at 22:44 when he's talking about tragedies and war, and there's just some guy cutting a rug in the background.
i honestly wish the elsweyr main story in eso focused on the khajiit completely, its an amazing dlc and so easy to get pleasantly lost in it.
What a beautiful creation myth
I love the fact that the nickname for the Khajiit version of Mehrunes Dagon is "Kitten"
just 100k subs left! definitly well deserved. been watching for like 3-4 years and constantly been putting out really good, fun and interessting videos. keep it up guys! :)
Great video! Best lore vids out there, thanks!
It would be absolutely hilarious, and sobering for the humans & elves, to find that everyone was descended from the Khajiit instead of it being the other way around. I think the Aldmere would take small issue with that.
I miss the weekly builds so much, id love it if you guys brought it back
5th. Love your narration man
Going to roleplay in Skyrim for the first time, unarmed build in vanilla Skyrim, with the new anniversary edition, very helpful lore videos, always loved these but never explored the kajiit until now
rewatching this and to be honest a book on the history and religion from the perspective of the races sounds great, essentially a written version of these videos but in great detail with references and quotes would be amazing, like a book on khajiit from the origins, wars, slavery and impact on the world would be something I would Definitely buy
Fascinating study, clearly explained and beautifully presented.
Idk if I phased out for this, but worth noting that Lorkhaj was also described as a sky spirit in "The Sky Spirits" by Amun-Dro. The Moon Prince and White Lion.
Awesome video! This is just what I was looking forward to
Gotta love the Khajiit and their purrfect pantheon!
Been waiting for this video 😍 love it
Last time I was this early Magnus said he was goin to go get some milk
Thank you for a guide two listen to! I like hearing it over reading it!
Neat explanation! Thanks for uploading!
I can't wait for the momment TES VI will get released and the resurrection of TES channels will begin.
eh, don't get too excited, this is bethesda, i'm sure they'll screw it up some how.
It would have been interesting if one could ever have a conversation with Namira and she tells of her hand in Lorkhans early days since she is the great darkness for the Khajiit. I think there are so much you can do with Namira and her sphere that I hope gets delved into in the future.
this is my favorite of all your videos. many rewatches. such a good story :)
just got wintersun faiths mod (based on y'all's recommendation); loving it. Trying to decide a balance of rp and pragmatism for my khajiit light-armored warrior. re-watching this for reference. :)
lol just when i was having a conversation on my race tier list some khajiit fan where displeased with the description i used to nominate them in the bottom
great video
I love that Sheo is like a skooma king pin in the Khajit theology
You should put these videos on apple/spotify as podcasts 👍🏽
The last time I was this late, I was branded a criminal by Daggerfall
Hey I have a question, do the Khajiit have any form of relation with the tiger people from Akavir. perhaps a cousin species?
Are Khajiit lycanthropes called Elseweyrwolves?
This one is most pleased- Drew is wise cat! May you find warm sands.
How can you produce so much content so fast?
Azura knows the names of every Khajiit that has ever lived, lives, or will live?
*Looks at furry Fandom*
*Looks at meme culture*
Azura, I am so sorry you have to go through this. At least my names are normal-sounding for Khajiit.
I laughed so hard at this 🤣😂😆 thank you
Every time I hear more about a race/ province I desperately want a game set there.
That's it. Bringing back my priest of Alkosh build.
I just became a die hard Khajiit fan :)
I am fascinated with Elsweyr. I don't play ESO but have played ES 4 and 5. Would love to visit it in 6
A Namira possessed all black "lost cat" with a glowing aura would have made an awesome quest boss
I'm so late, Khajiit has much more coin, and much less wares.
I think they should create a game in the early 1st Era or Merethic Era. Be able to play Dwemer, Snow Elf or Lilmothiit.
As much as I'd love answers, I'm perfectly content to simply look for the answers without the need to actually find them
@@PinkWytchBytchYeah I agree with u but I still wanna olay Dwemer. They're my favourite ancient race.
always found it interesting that khajit beliefs differed from the standard beliefs of men and mer but oddly had conections to the chimer/dunmer and bosmer
So Khajiit are not cat men but cat elves?
You think it's possible to make an Elder Scrolls geography series? I only played Skyrim and I would like to be familiarized to the other nations in Tamriel
Well done Brother
So the lest few gods mentioned here were once mortal who later became revered as gods, doesn't that mean that the Thalmor should ban their worship like Talos because they are mortals and not gods?
Can someone PLEASE tell me the name of this mod that makes the chapel of the divines look this cool?
it may be "Solitude and Temple Frescoes" but i am unsure
6 views,12 likes, gotta love it
Fudgemuppet tribunal drew the god of explaination scott god of knowledge michael god of builds
@Lotad-Is-Hungry ! Because he was a dunmer lover
9:28 nice
They really could have kept the Elswyer expansion going for another year and I doubt anyone would have complained.
and there is why the khajiit are my favorite TES race of them all
One question though, do the Khajiit acknowledge Clavicus Vile? Do they have a different name for him, and IF they do, which litter did he come from? If he's not a part of their pantheon, do they have a similar one?
Drew, I love your voice ❤️
The God of Lore FudgeMuppet
My favorite race and religion and alot of it makes sense. One point is that one the woodelfs and only wood elves can change, change into a beast of the hunt.
Can you please make a video about y'ffre and valenwood spinners and their story magic?
Dammit, how has it been this many years and I only now got it that the Hist = hist trees... histrees.... histories.
2:35
Fess up. Whose making the clan mother's mod to show off the khajit oral traditions
Wish ES6 would be set in Elsweyr, or Black Marsh.
I love everything about this video except for the shots of Jone and Jode's shadowed parts obscuring the stars behind them; ESO dropped the ball hard there.
