ingredients
5 cups Cake flour
1 cup selfraising flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup sugar
1 packet yeast
1+1/2 tablespoon cardamom powder
1+1/2 tablespoon fine cinnamon
1 tablespoon ginger powder
2 tablespoons aniseed
1+1/2 tablespoon mix spice/ optional
1+1/2 tablespoon dried naartie peel
2 eggs
90g butter
1+1/2 cup hot water
1+1/2 cup milk
oil for frying
syrup ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
stick cinnamon
cardamom pods
could add more or less spices
ps if dough is to sticky just add a tablespoon at a time of flour until u get the right consistency.
should have a soft but slightly sticky dough
not dry and stiff.

Is there a substitute for the self raising flour if one doesn't have any
Wslm you can leave it out, but I find the selfraising flour makes it a bit lighter, but u can just substitute with cake flour and maybe add teaspoon baking powder
