I am watching from Austria, Europe! brought back sweet memories! I was the one to fetch koeksisters for us on a Sunday! I grew up in Kensington and i had to walk to 5th Street at a Moslem’s lady’s home! Now I am making it for my Austrian family and they love it!!!!👍
I had to text my cousins in Cape Town to ask them what a naartji was! ( We have lived in Canada for many years!) It is a mandarin orange! ....when I told my Dad that I was making these, he told me that back in the day in Cape Town, there was a gentleman who used to come around on the weekends with his cart selling fresh, warm Koeksisters! He said he and Mum would buy dozens for us!
Aunty Fatima bringing back memories i never ever tried making koeksisters my granny ragam used to make but the video clip is now a challenge for me to atleast try Shukran

Heaven 🥰
❤ love this❤
I bought koeksister at a shop. The next day it was stone hard. Can you tell my why😮
They put it in the microwave that's why it became hard. Any dough warmed in a microwave becomes hard after a few minutes.
Can you use star anise? If so how many?
Oh, you even spelled it right! Only really inept people call it koeKsisters. And, no, not the twisty type.
For how long can the koeksister be freeze
