@@moonstryder1740 lol I meant that. 😂 thankoo for the correction 🥺💜
Trying this recipe but my dough came out way too sticky. Did I not knead it for long enough or am I missing a step?
Very good
Salaams. Not sure which koeksister recepi to follow. So many. Thia one has so much ingredients...salaams.
Boil potatoes until its soft
Add yeast to water and let it fluff
Add all spices to cake flour and mix and set aside
Add butter to potatoess and blend , add eggs&½ the milk and blend
Make a hole in the middle of the dough and add the yeast mixture and half of the potato mixture and mix with a spoon

Welcome back I missed you ❤️
What is the mixed spices? How can I make my own.? I am in Uk can’t buy the South African one. Thank you
If you're going to a spice shop, ask for garam masala without the heat. It has made mixed with it which is part of the nutmeg plant. Would add a good milkshake like taste

Thank you for this but may I add that the video and the instructions with the measurements are a little off. Tried following the drop down instructions I got a little lost.
Those are Koesisters....not Koeksisters
did you add baking powder or baking soda?
Is mama originally from South Africa
Yes ☺️
Of course SA accent
Where is mama now. No new video since last year
I have never seen potato in this recipe before...
Beverley Frazier That’s cause this recipe is actually for Cape Malay Koesisters, not Koeksisters. Koeksisters does not contain potato.
💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Give me the ingredients for 100 koeksisters
If I want to double the mixture...do I just double all the ingredients???
This is a recipe for Cape Malay Koesisters, not Koeksisters, Koeksisters do not contain potato nor is covered in coconut
You're right these are the Cape Malay Koeksisters which are way, way way better than the sugar and dough Afrikaans Koeksisters.
@@allangreig agreed! waaaaay better. Super flavourful.
@@allangreig I will let you taste my shoe if you talk shit like that again. btw its koesister* if its the malay one.
A little petty but anyway lovely recipe mama
I think she South African
Hmmm ttxLll is
Be careful of getting your hair in there!
Why is she struggling to speak english just be natural
These are the shittier cape malay ones. Real Koeksisters are the afrikaner/hottentots ones which are longer and properly twisty and get more of a glazed look from the syrup or (if you find someone that knows how to truly make koeksisters) honey or honey+syrup mix. The malay ones are 'koesisters'. If I see coconut on a KOEKSISTER, I'll give them a taste of my shoe
U are truly a disgusting human being if you don't like it keep it to yourself no one asked you what you thought of them both koeksisters and koeksisters are tasty in there own way. Clearly you were never taught manners or etiquette. It is commendable that she is sharing her recipe that she has clearly perfected over the year. If you are such a smart guy then make your recipe and post it online I'm sure no one will insult you as most of us were raised to have some respect.
Why are you so mad? Did someone force you to eat it. It taste way better and look at sweet as koeksister that can gives you diabetes
That is now so rude. Please do not expose your..........Taste differs and who told you that yours is the only right once
