I don't understand why he says there is no relationship between taking calcium supplements and heart disease for women. Research is a clear as mud! Being highly plant based and dairy free for 13 years due to inflammatory and autoimmune research, I find it very difficult to get 1200 mg /day from food. CVD runs in my family and I'm struggling with high BP and my overly sensitive system trying to find a med I tolerate. So confused on calcium supplementation and CVD risk and how to get enough from diet w/o consuming to many calories/gaining weight. I need to lose15 lbs. At high end of BMI normal. I'm small boned and weight goes to my mid section.
