I made these cookies two weeks ago and they were delicious!! I'm making another batch now!! I added cranberries this time instead of the raisins. I added walnuts, mini dark chocolate chips, shredded coconut and flax seeds! They came out soo good! Thank you for this recipe!
This guy is the best i’ve tried more than a few of his recipes and every single one of them was a success love his lemon cookies they are absolutely mouthwatering today I tried his oatmeal raisin cookies and they are to die for good work John
Your page is my go to reference for my baked goods. I am making these right now. I used part coconut extract with the vanilla and toasted pecans.. also I lightly toast my oats.. Thanks so much
I’ve been using your recipe to make cookies for my family, but I did it with a twist! I use dried cranberries instead of raisins, almonds instead of walnuts, and added 1/4 tsp of almond extract for fragrance and a little more almond flavor! Oh! My! Gosh! They are perfect every time! Worry not though. I’ve also made the original recipe, and loved it! You’re the bomb 🤩✨💃🏽
Thank you, I made these (no nuts) and they turned out great! I did find I needed to bake them for longer, about 15 minutes. Usually oatmeal raisin is not my favorite, but needed to use up some oatmeal and they were sooo good!
These were great! My husband and daughter loved them. They wanted chocolate chips mixed in so I added 1 cup to the original recipe. Next time I'll make them without chocolate chips and add my favorite addition- toasted walnuts for a more traditional oatmeal raisin cookie. Thank you- we enjoy watching your video's every week!
Thanks for making me feel comfortable... I always had such a difficult time with this cookie... My family loves this ingredient... Your such a wonderful teacher... Thanks again John
Saw your video arrive in my notifications, thought 'I have all those ingredients' and I have just baked them. Came out perfectly and delicious (even though I was too impatient to cool the mixture in the fridge for an hour). Now my only problem is stopping myself finishing off the lot! Love your videos and have made 10+ of your recipes during January lockdown here in England - thank you so much and love your presentation style!
I always come back to this recipe. Such a delicious cookie. I normally don't buy brown sugar, even with white sugar still comes out great. We could have these every day! Certainly a recipe to pass on to your kids- simple yet delicious.
First off, thank you so much for this! Made this recipe yesterday with some changes. I doubled the recipe, and added about a cup or so of homemade hard crack toffee along with the oats and raisins. I made larger cookies, using a standard ice cream scoop and baked them for 18 minutes at 375. It's one of the most delicious, decadent things I've ever tasted, and I just wanted to thank you for inspiring me to bake more.
Oh you have the perfect oatmeal recipe. I just made mine with ruby red Middle Eastern giant juicy raisins and some little pepitas and I am absolutely thrilled:-) oatmeal cookies can be boring and disappointing but your recipe holds everything together and the sweetness is perfect. Also substituted chopped dried apricots for raisins and used unsweetened shredded coconut instead of nuts and made a lemon icing and these turned out really well. This recipe is very adaptable.
I’ve made this recipe more than once. I don’t have a mixer so I have always done it by hand. Today, I decided to use my bullet to mix the wet ingredients. I only had 15 minutes to chill the mix. The cookies did not spread out at all and puffed up more than an inch. Great recipe. Thanks.
These cookies look scrumptious. I’m looking for a really good oatmeal cookie recipe and I will bake my cookies using this recipe. I thank you for sharing.
I made this recipe and it came out good! Will definitely be making this again. By the way I used Iodine salt with the same measurement, I personally like it because it balances the sweetness of the cookie. Thank you so much. God bless!
I baked these last night and they were fantastic! Only changes I made were substituting the all purpose flour with almond flour, the granulated sugar for monkfruit, and the brown sugar with swerve brown. Turned out absolutely amazing and these will be a staple in my house from now on.
@@nanwilliams4429 Yes...I followed the recipe exactly but just did a 1:1 replacement with almond flour and monk fruit instead of the all purpose flower and sugar. They turned out great!
THANKS A LOT ! This is our favorite cookies and we double the recipe and bake them last night. We finished half of it immediately and decided to triple the recipe and freeze them. We follow your recipes and if we are searching for a recipe we search if you have given the recipe….
I was just thinking about making oatmeal raisin cookies because my brother absolutely loves them and I love to make them for him! I am so excited to try your recipe! 😁
My six year old daughter and I made these today. She put chocolate chips in hers and I put raisin and pecan. So delicious! Crispy edges, chewy and sweet but not too sweet. We will definitely make these again!
Thank you for this recipe! I live watching your videos, very inspiring. You make cooking, baking easier. I ate this cookie once from a farm market, since I’m addicted. I’ve been looking for the videos to bake it at home while recovering from postpartum. You save me, and yours shows up first. Again Thank you!
My husband asked me to bake these cookies this weekend. I was going to adapt your Oatmeal and Chocolate Chips Cookies recipe. I don't need to adapt it anymore. Have a great weekend! Thank you!
Wonderful recipe. for a winter holiday vib used mixed chopped dry fruits and pumpkin spice mix and you get mini fruit cake cookies. Happy new year everyone
If I could like this video 100 times I would. These are delicious. Sidenote, I’ve been watching your channel since the beginning and it’s so incredible to see how many viewers you’ve gained throughout the years, so so happy for you.

You are Awesome I love your videos I tried your oatmeal raisin cookies I love how you said to chill the batter for an hour cookies came out delicious 💕
I made these last night, and they are delicious. My MIL wanted the recipe, said they were the best ever. Hubby who doesn't like oatmeal cookies, said these were the best I made (I made 4 kinds, including his favorite peanut butter). Definitely do not skimp on the size, 2 tablespoons each is perfect. Any smaller they might not be as chewy.
Thank you so much !! I made the cookies and they came out so good ;) - first time I baked cookies. Also made the sugar cookies from your other video. I feel so great ❤
I just bought raisins yesterday so I could make some oatmeal raisin cookies! I was looking at the America’s Test Kitchen video, but thought that she didn’t have enough raisins (only a half cup), but she doesn’t like raisins either. I, otoh, love them, so these are always a favorite cookie of mine. Cannot wait to try out this recipe!
I can’t not escape you every time I look up a recipe your always there thank you
I swapped out the raisins for dried cranberries and added a half cup of white chocolate chips and they were the best cookies I've ever enjoyed!
that sounds amazing, thanks for sharing!
I make these for my opossum and squirrels and pet rat! They love them, as for me, I watch my weight so I may eat just one
I made these cookies two weeks ago and they were delicious!! I'm making another batch now!! I added cranberries this time instead of the raisins. I added walnuts, mini dark chocolate chips, shredded coconut and flax seeds! They came out soo good! Thank you for this recipe!

Sounds horrendous
So you made a completely different cookie
Thank you, I made these (no nuts) and they turned out great! I did find I needed to bake them for longer, about 15 minutes. Usually oatmeal raisin is not my favorite, but needed to use up some oatmeal and they were sooo good!
I just finished making these, and I do believe they are the best cookie I’ve ever eaten YUM 😋
And last fall I froze grapes, then yesterday I dehydrated them and used them and wow! YUM
Never in my life have I craved anything with raisins in it .... I guess there is a first for everything because these look delicious!!
Just made cookies today. Totally delicious and so easy to make. Thank you for providing the measurements in metric.

I’m making these for a second time. I soaked my raisins in rum and my cookies were so good!
How many plaid shirts do you have?
Many 🤣
Yes

One for each recipe.
That's how I recognize his videos. Lol
I love that you put the grams as well, so useful and much more precise than cups and spoons!
I think cookies need to be taken seriously and exact measurements are priceless and I totally agree with you :-)
