DOG ALLERGIES: Top 3 Ways to Cure your Pup!

  • Unlike highly processed kibble, a complete and balanced raw diet is naturally anti-inflammatory. With no preservatives, grains, corn, wheat, soy, legumes, and other species-inappropriate ingredients, raw diets offer the most bioavailable form of nutrition, which boosts your dog's immune system. This way, your dog can ward off allergies naturally without the need for medication.
If you're afraid your dog might have a specific protein allergy, the most common protein allergies are to chicken and beef. Try our single-protein turkey to start and then move on to duck.
The We Feed Raw diet is a close duplication of the natural raw diet that has sustained dogs in the wild for eons. Every living being needs certain essential amino acids and enzymes in order to live a healthy life. For dogs, these essential nutrients are found in a raw, animal protein-based diet. Dogs have been eating this way for a much longer time than they've been forced to eat highly processed kibble--only about 100 years. Not coincidentally, in that time there has been a drastic and continued increase of disease in our pets--chronic degenerative diseases, auto-immune diseases, allergies, kidney, pancreatic, and liver diseases, and cancer. Experts believe these diseases are directly related to eating a processed diet that is species inappropriate.
Dogs have short, simple digestive tracts and high levels of hydrochloric acid in their stomachs. They are anatomically designed to derive their nutrients from raw animal protein, fat, and bone. Cooking their food alters the food's makeup, causing essential nutrients and enzymes to become less bioavailable. In other words, with cooked foods, your domesticated carnivore has to work harder to get the nutrients he needs. With raw, you're feeding food in its most digestible state. When a processed, carb-laden, or veggie-packed diet is imposed on a species that wasn't meant to digest starches and plant matter in large quantities, they are not being given a true opportunity to thrive.

Adding even some raw to your dog's diet can help reduce their allergy symptoms. Plus, if you can spend more money on their food to manage their allergy symptoms, that means less money you have to spend at the vet on things like allergy pills or shots.

cool thanks. reason why i asked is because i feed frozen straight out of the freezer and summer came and he developed hot spots. hard to make any causal claim for it but i can try thawing his food more@@wefeedraw

      @wefeedraw  8 місяців тому

We have a couple of blog posts on our website about hot spots that might be helpful:
      www.wefeedraw.com/blog/what-is-a-hot-spot-on-a-dog
      www.wefeedraw.com/blog/how-to-treat-a-hot-spot-on-a-dog
Hot spots are frequently caused by heat and humidity, so the food temperature likely didn't cause the hot spots, but there's a lot of great information in those blog posts that might help you.

Even adding some fresh or raw food to your dog's kibble can help improve their health (leading to fewer/lower vet bills down the road).

I gave my dog viva beef raw food. He broke out in hives. So is he allergic to beef?

Uh oh! We would suggest consulting your vet with this issue. Commercial raw companies sometimes can include other ingredients that your pup may be sensitive to, and professional guidance with health concerns like this is always suggested.

@We Feed Raw understandable. With the vet, they just prescribed medication. They gave me apoquel for the long term, and it makes him sick.

@@khristinamarie9837Try another protein. Maybe goat, Lamb or turkey. I order 20kg bags of 100% natural cold-pressed from raw, slowly dried ingredients. The cold pressing means that the temperature never exceeds 38°C and ingredients preserve their natural nutritional content, taste and smell. Ingredients are carefully selected, dried, ground and pressed into pellet form. The feed contains raw meat (no bone meal or protein substitutes such as soya), fruit, herbs, additives which are beneficial for the development and vitality of the dog. Live lactobacillus is added to the feed, which supports the stomach's microflora, strengthens immunity, and cleans the intestines of sediment.
The feed does not swell in the stomach, it dissolves, which makes digestion easier. I would give you the brand name, but im scared they are going to be sold out😅 Im sure there are many alike on the market now.

Where is the golden paste recipe. I wish i vould give my babies meat instead of dog food. I try to reduce their dog food as much as possible. I give them veggies and eggs. Stores have whole turkey on sale now and i have 7 in the freezer, and im going to get more tomorrow.
I have 6 dogs and i foster. I give them all lentils, coconut oil, and lots of other things that are healthy. I would love to give them only fresh food! But i think i will reduce their kibble more so because they are a bit on the thick side, just a little. It will be healthier.
We have hens that each can lay 300+ eggs a year. Very helpful.

Hi there @WithMunchkins! Here is a wonderful recipe for golden paste: @WithMunchkins
Adding veggies, eggs, and a bit of raw meat in addition to their kibble is a great way to help keep your pups healthy! However, we don't recommend lentils, since diets high in plant proteins (like lentils) and not high enough in animal proteins seem to be linked to an increased risk of dilated cardiomyopathy: www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com/truth-grain-free-dog-foods-dcm/
We sell several different types of bulk boxes, which would give you another option for adding some meat to your pups' food: www.wefeedraw.com/products
Feel free to email hello@wefeedraw.com with any questions you may have!
