😎 Thanks for watching ... see you in the next video! - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини
And if your dog doesn’t like it you can make a meatloaf 😂
I wish she was my neighbor. What a great educator.
Dana you and your team are phenomenal, I could watch and learn from you ALL day !!! Thank you again from all the Frenchies here at Salty Dog Frenchies and me, Carrie 😀
Thank you so much Carrie and the cute lil Frenchies!!
Excellent valid information! Made great deal of difference in the dogs I've owned and those I rescue!
Thank you Dana for sharing such valuable information. I would buy your recipe book! Your hard work is admired. Thank you again.
You are so welcome!
You are fantastic - you always seem to come up with exactly what I need - when I need it !
Perfect!
Hi Dana, thank you so much for this recipe. Could you tell me if there’s any way to modify this recipe so that it works out for my energetically hot dog? Ginger and turmeric while great are warming foods and he doesn’t do very well with it except maybe during the winter time
Thank you after much searching this just what I’ve been looking for and I am interested in buying your book also 🐾🖤
Glad you enjoyed the video!
A wonderful clear presentation!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you very much for the recipe and explaining what each ingredient is used for. Can this recipe be given to a dog with EPI? Thanks
This ia the first recipe I've found qith real explanations on the ingredients and has a balance of ingredients that make ense to me
Glad you liked it!
Thank SO much for this. If our dogs are allergic to poultry - other options for the base protein and chicken hearts?
I LOVE THIS WOMAN AND THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY DOG TIME AND TIME AGAIN.
Thank you so much!!
I will try this recipe. My dog has been battling with yeast and ear infection for 2 years. Thanks for this recipe.
You're welcome!
Hey I'm dealing with a stubborn yeast / ear infection with my dog for a couple years now as well. Did this recipe work out for you, if not did you find anything that did?
I love this recipe, would you please tell me for how long you should feed the dog this food? Or it can be serve indefinitely?
Hi love your recipe. I I have four german shepherds, so I'm wondering how much I should cook for them to cover at least for a week.
I just found this video while searching for yeast solutions. I have just started the Yeast Free Fido and wondered if I can feed this diet along with Yeast Free Fido. Thanks so much for all the information
Yes you can!🙂
Thank you love all your videos. ? Is this recipe written anywhere.
Yep, it's written in the description.
Thanks for your video. Our dog suffers with allergys and constant ear infections last one we had checked up it was a yeast infection.
With this diet is it hypoallergenic and how long can you feed this to your dog? Isit temp or permanent meal option?
Finally something for the internal treatment...not just soak paws in apple cider vinegar...or something. I think my dog has whole internal yeast imbalance so this looks like it is worth a try. Boy, long ingredient list though....but still cheaper than seeing a vet who will at the end tell you to try Claritin and here is my giant bill for that advice.
Thank you for this video and information. I am anxious to try it with my Westie! I am having trouble finding chicken hearts locally. Is there a substitution of equal or similar nutritional value that I could use?
Hey Debbie! Many grocery stores actually carry chicken hearts! But you could also try sourcing them from an online source like rawfeedingmiami.com, they ship all over the country if you are in the US! :)
Can chicken gizzards be substituted for chicken hearts?
Hi Dana! I wanted to add your S.Boulardii to this recipe but my dog is not doing well with the inulin in it!
Hi, thanks for such great information. For how long should this be fed and should the protein be mixed up over time?
You're very welcome! You can feed this as long as you wish but give it at least 60 days to work for the yeast.
Thank you
Hi dana, can I substitute the turkey meat to duck or beef? Coz turkey meat not readily availble in our country. Thanks
Love the video!! I started my pup on this 4 days ago and he has already gained energy and stopped licking you are truly amazing!! I have one question, is the chlorella and kelp capsules that you empty? Im having a hard time finding anything that isnt in pill form. Thanks again!
We did use the loose powder form!
Ive read a lot of comments about how you can feed this to your dogs until the yeast infection is cleared or permant if people would like to continue. However, what about after the imfection is gone? besides this, is there anything else you would recommend feeding your dog after? Will going back to commercial foods just make the problem resurface or are there ways to prevent that while still buying dog food?
Hi Danna! Thank u very much for all your help! I have a doubt. Would you remove any of the listed ingredients in this recipe for a dog diagnosed with IBD and having yeast?
Nope, not at all.
Would love to know a recipe for puppies with a yeast issue! Any help is greatly appreciated!
what do u recommend to substitute for dogs with sensitivity to turkey and chicken
This is great! Thank you so much! One question though, why no egg shells? I usually give a whole egg to my dog with the shell. They are from my friend and pasture raised so I’m comfortable with the source. Should I not be doing that? Thanks!
Eggshells don’t contain phosphorus or magnesium, other important minerals in bone and bonemeal, so your dog will need other sources of these minerals. We prefer bonemeal or Four Leaf Rover's Better Bones.
thenaturaldogstore.com/products/four-leaf-rover-better-bones
We are starting this diet with my Teddy Roosevelt Terriers who have had a yeast breakout. They have always been fed raw but something seems to be causing this breakout. I am using Raw Performance Pure Turkey which has turkey liver and heart. We are then adding the other ingredients you recommend. We can not find ground pumpkin seed anywhere so are using ground pumpkin powder. We are also going to order the 4 leaf rover yeast guard plus as well as Soil based probiotics. Is there any particular shampoo you would recommend to bath our girls with? Thank you. Look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you SO much for this incredible recipe/video/information, Dana & DN Team!!!!! I cannot wait to try this with my little man Odie. I do have one question: Odie is allergic to chicken and chicken eggs. Could I substitute chicken hearts w/ beef, duck or turkey hearts? Any thoughts on what I could substitute for the eggs? Thank you!!!
I had the same question as our pup is also allergic to chicken. Not sure about eggs.
@@cfrates2703 fingers crossed @DogsNaturallyMagazine will have an idea!!
@@cfrates2703 thought I'd share my plan since you have the same concern for your furry! After some digging (and diving into some weird ass online message boards hahah)...it sounds like chicken & beef hearts have roughly the same nutritional value, except that chicken hearts have about double the fat content of beef hearts. So, I'm going to use beef hearts instead of chicken (same amount: 1/2 lb. per serving) and add hemp seed oil (1/2 tsp.) to bump up the fat content of the recipe. I was likely going to used hemp seed oil in lieu of MCT oil anyway b/c it's better for the environment, so seems like this might be the easiest adjustment. To clarify, that means I'll add 2.5 tsp. of hemp seed oil in lieu of MCT. Lastly, I'm going to use duck eggs instead of chicken eggs. Fingers crossed this works! Best of luck to you and your furry. : )
You're welcome! You could substitute with beef hearts or duck hearts. You could use duck eggs in place of chicken eggs!
Thank you for all this information. You are a treasure trove of knowledge. My question is do I divide the ingredients in 2 meals . Or do I just add it to one meal? Example: one of the ingredients, 2 teaspoons of turmeric paste. Would that be 2 in the morning meal and 2 in the evening meal? Thank You
This recipe makes a complete meal using all of the recommended ingredients. This would replace what you are currently feeding!
How long do you feed this? Is there a substitute for the chicken hearts?
If the dog is diabetic should the recipe be adjusted at all? We've noticed bg levels are elevated after moving to this diet (likely the MCT) but do the benefits of it outweigh the need for more insulin?
My poor pup is a mess and my other is itching and chewing also but doesn’t seem to have the yeast issues. They’re both frenchies and are large for their breed. One is 50+ lbs and the other 40lbs but has lost weight from being sick from the years issues and skin infections etc.
I have used the Yeast Protocol and it helps but doesn’t totally get rid of it. Firstly I don’t know if I’m using correctly. Can I give all three in his food at the same time? And also I had been making and gently cooking their food myself. I have chronic illness and chronic pain so it’s very challenging to do it all on top of caring for my family. Then I got CoVid in Sept and haven’t felt well since or worse than usual I should say. So I began looking for freeze dried raw. Open Farm Pet seems to be one they really enjoy. I do prefer doing it myself but until I feel better this will do.
What I would like to know is; are those supplements regular human ones or do you use only made for dog ones?
Also I was giving them coconut oil and my oldest boys tummy looks inflated kind of. I just read an article by Dr Marty that it is NOT good to give them because the MCTs turn to Lauric Acid, so I’m going to stop and only use it topically. I don’t know what those are yet but I’ll read up on them. Do you agree with that?
My little guy takes Trazadone for aggression and I can only get him to take his pill by covering it in a little piece of cheese (processed singles unfortunately but it’s the only kind that wraps around and sticks to it) and covered in a little coconut oil so it slides down easily! I used to give him an extra dollop of coconut oil after his pills but I won’t anymore if it’s bad for them.
Well thanks for your help and video and for sharing all your knowledge!
Hi Dana, ❤ How much Guts and Glory could I add to this recipe if I can't find the organ meats? Thank you ❤
I just finally solved two Standard Poodles with severe yeast in the ears only because of Dog Naturally Magazine’s article about yeast. I spent over $1,000 a my vet and nothing worked. I stopped feeding kibble with pea protein and later gave them a treat with 2 ingredients only turkey and pea protein and their ears exploded. I am talking about pudding like greenish thick yeast in the ear so bad it was coming up and out like lava… We had to put them on antibiotics but not what the vet kept giving us. BECAUSE THE HOLISTIC VET we have was clueless, he actually kept the infection going on and on. He at one point literally gave up and told me to go to a dermatologist for dogs. WHO HAS THAT KIND OF MONEY? A friend’s horse vet nailed it with a very strong antibiotic but then I had to go to work myself and stop the entire reason for the explosions… it has been over a year… and that’s right it has taken that long. I followed DNM’s articles over and over and then I found a couple of other items, Truseb flush for the ears and Monistat for women and we had to pack their ears with the cream. Yeast was eating their hair and then it was literally eating their inner ear skin, leaving behind bloody crusts like rock candy and they were in tremendous pain. Every single day I had to attack this in the ear by flushing, removing gobs of jelly like yeast with these large dog cotton swab that would grab the jelly yeast intact and pull it out. Today, one of the poodles has kicked it for good, while the other is down to once a week therapies. Neither can eat any kibble ever again, EVER AGAIN! Not until I read the article from Dog Naturally Magazine about yeast did this finally begin to stop. I watched how their poop would change and tell me when to use activated charcoal and we even used Yunna Baiyao for intense bleeding. I never gave into using the prednisone my HOLISTIC VET begged me to use, not one pill. Removing the biofilm was key and I watched it work right in front of me every single day. You could see the change in the ears, the goop from the weeping eyes and in their stool. It was amazing how sick they were all from horrific commercial dog food toxins and the new ingredient PEA PROTEIN in dog food that dogs are not tolerating. Thank you DANA, I AM SO GRATEFUL TO YOU.
Thanks so much for sharing your story!! And you're very welcome. :)
What kind of antibiotic did you use
I need to understand what you are saying 😭 My 8 OK year old cockapoo is having a bad yeast out brake and I have tried this recipe, shampoos, taken her off any kibbles. I don’t want to take her to a vet because these people are just in it for the money and I have been ripped off. I don’t know why to do?
I hope you see this soon. Is monistat safe for dogs skin? I adopted a stray dog who’s skin condition has gotten worse recently and I have no clue what to do for the itching. About a week ago we switched to real meat and vegetables only. Grain free food wasn’t helping at all. His redness has gone down a lot but He is so flakey and losing so much fur and I can’t get him into the vet until next Friday but need something to relieve the dryness and flakes. Thank you so much.
This made no sense and you didn't say what helped your dogs
Can I switch out the original proteins for chicken and egg whites only? My dog is Sensitive to turkey, beef and egg yolks.
So, can I use pure MCT oil or does it have to be caprylic acid?
Thank you Dana for the recipe my yorkie has been on it for a week. My only problem is now she smells like BO or a chemical is this common? And how long can I keep her on this diet?
The smell can be from the yeast die off. It should go away in a couple weeks! You can feed this for as long as your dog is having yeast problems!
Thanks so much for sharing this video. Question? Can I feed this recipe to a small breed dog? Thanks in advance, God bless and stay safe 🙏🏾🥰
Yes, you absolutely can!
@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM Great! Thanks so much for the reply, God bless you 🙏🏾🥰❣️
My dog is already on thyroid meds, how do I calculate those? Thank you.
I am unable to source chlorella can I substitute with Spirulina? Or is there something else I can use? Many thanks.
What do you add when your dog is allergic to kale and eggs. Also they are in most dog goods even raw
Can you write the recepe
If my dog is allergic to things in the recipe like broccoli, turkey chicken hearts what should I do? just eliminate them from the recipe or replace it with something else?
Pumpkin seeds raw or roasted? Also with or without shells?
Is there an economic version? If double or triple it can be frozen and for along?
What is the portion size for a 42 lb dog?
Hi Dana, can I use use Four Leaf Rover Guts and Glory a a substitute for the heart organ? And if yes how much? Thanks.
Also I got 3 dogs at home ranging from 30-60 lbs. How much do I feed them? I also have one that has liver disease but stable. His blood test have been great for more than 2 yrs now. Can i also feed this as preventative for the one that doesn't have yeast infection?
Guts & Glory is a convenient way to add organs to your dog’s diet. If it is a struggle to source and feed your dog a variety of organs, Guts & Glory can meet your organ needs. You will want to feed your pups 26-50 lbs 3/4 tsp daily and your pups that are 51-75 lbs 1 tsp daily
Hi my dog is allergic to chicken protein, is turkey safe for her?
I’m at my wits end with a rescue who is going crazy with an itchy butt. I can’t take her to the vet as she will bite. ( had a hard life before me) I’m going to make this for her. But, I don’t have any idea where to get chicken hearts. Can I use gizzards instead?
Dana what s your opinion on adding Honey?
It's certainly not something I add to my own dogs' meals.
Thank You
I have a Shiba . This breed shouldn’t have onion or garlic . She has yeast a few times a year it’s pretty bad. I would like to make her own food but want to know about the added garlic? I know it’s good to combat yeast but is it ok for dogs especially Shibas?
Thanks Diana,
My boy has been struggling with what I believe zo be yeast. He is constantly itching. This is basically what I have been feeding him..I use turmeric paste with MCT,Greenlip muscles, immunity mushrooms, acv, garlic, blueberries. With various protein ( beef, turkey, sometimes pork)
Bone, offal frm beef.
I only recently added pork he was itching before I added it.
Help!
Oops.and spinach, kelp,
Some dogs can take longer to fight yeast or can go through a longer yeast die-off process, stick it out and keep feeding foods such as the list below to best support your furry friend!
It can be hard to determine the exact cause of itching and we do not know the full background of your specific dog but an elimination diet could be useful as well to ensure there are no food allergies increasing his symptoms.
Kale, Broccoli, ACV, Pumpkin seeds, Turmeric, Garlic, Ginger, MCT oil, Chlorella, Kelp
Thank you for a great video !
But
Based on our experience and going through so many conflicting stories of other ppl dramas or success, our advice : start with only one item from this recipe ,hold it for a week and slowly add one by one but not consecutive days but rather by week...
The only way to find out .
Other ways are good luck and hope you sleep well listening you beloved friend scratching all nights
HI again, Danna! I am going to prepare this recipe for one of my dogs. I am able to convert pounds, ounce, tablespoon and teaspoons in grams, but I have a hard time converting the measurements of 1/2 cup of broccoli sprouts and kale, can you tell me how many grams they would be equivalent to? On the other hand, since egg albumin sequesters vitamin B1, it might be beneficial to add the lightly cooked egg? I really appreciate your help
Hey Yolanda! 1/2 cup of roughly chopped kale is about 33.5grams! 1/2 of broccoli sprouts is about 45.5 grams. This is a rough estimate, it could change based on the size of sprouts/kale you end up using! You may need to just stuff a measuring cup full and then weigh the amount for your most accurate example! :)
@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM you're nicer than I would be...a simple Google search would've answered these conversions...
Hi Dana, my staffy has had a real bad systemic yeast problem for a while, I know the last thing causing has been the chick peas with the starch, I'd already been using quite a few things you talk about on vid, he'd been having chicken, mince fish in his diet, since I've taken chickpeas out I've gone to a local raw feeders and bought there different mines, to add extra, bit concerned as they said to give raw as cooking will destroy the goodness, I've read conflicting info on different bacteria s they can pick up, I've always cooked my dogs, chicken , mince etc , will my dogs be okay to have this raw as never had raw in there diet before, also the mince I've got eg chicken mince, beef and turkey, tripe mince, is for pet food use only , not fit for human consumption, read about links on cancers to 4d meats , would like your opinion on this please, thankyou for your time znd this great vid as been using as a blueprint , thankyou
Hey John,
Dogs are able to handle raw meat, so giving this raw should be fine!
You can ask the company that you get your meat from where they source their animals from, they should be up front with you about it!
Thank you sharing your experience! I have staffies also and one is highly allergic to chicken and the other one can only have chicken 😮 I’ve just started experiencing this whole yeast issue! It is so hard to see them so miserable 😭
How long do you suggest this diet? Do you suggest this meal alone, or can this be fed with a dry food meal that is in line with candida guidelines?
We suggest just feeding this food alone.
Hey I made the recipe the dogs love it. It’s enough for two days. I have a question; so here’s what I added and how much I added. Should I add more ?
1/2 tbs Red rover
1/2 tsp gut guard
1/4 tsp yeast guard
1/4 tsp digest
If those are the recommended amounts for your dog's weight, then perfect!
@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM yea they’re the recommended amount for using daily but not for the recipe
Thank you. the only thing that I wont feed my dog is chicken anything .. Also as a non raw eater rescue at 15yrs young , how much does cooking it destroy the benefits. It seems undercooking it would be best? Ironically she has Hypo and chews her feet a lot. We spray with ACV and Green tea but she is relentless , all fresh food home cooked diet . Some ingredients same as in seaweed, but will add more of the spices you said.
It is best to only lightly cook the food, but a fully cooked diet will still be a better option then kibble!
Does it have to be turkey burger or can it be whole cooked or raw turkey cut off the bone? Also you said broccoli sprouts, like sprouted broccoli or just broccoli heads?
It's not turkey burger - it's just ground. You can use the same weight of any turkey meat, that's fine. And broccoli heads are not sprouts - you want the actual sprouts.
What is Safe-Sea (shown in the printed recipe)?
It is a marine oil that's more complete and sustainable than fish oil. Here is more information: thenaturaldogstore.com/products/four-leaf-rover-safe-sea
Thank you for this recipe. Are carrots and cauliflower safe for dogs with yeast?
No they are not.
Is that yellow jar bone meal?. What brand do you use?
Yes, the yellow jar is bone meal. It is Better Bones by Four Leaf Rover!
Getting ready to make this recipe but need to know how much to feed my 10 lb. dog
Hi there,
25 pound dog: 1/2 pound daily, you would just want to cut this amount in half!
@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM thank you so much😘
For the sake of cost, what would be the top five ingredients to add to fight yeast (on top of the base meal)?
Here's why the ingredients are in there:
Kale & broccoli - cruciferous veggies contain isothyocyanates that inhibit the growth of yeast - also help with liver detox, which is important for yeast die-off and can bind to heavy metals, which feed yeast
ACV - can break down yeast biofilm and cell walls
Pumpkin seeds - anti-fungal, anti-parasitic and a natural source of vitamin E
Turmeric - anti-fungal and can help stop the growth of yeast in the gut
Garlic - anti-fungal plus it repels harmful gut bacteria - also helps the liver with detox, which is important for yeast die-off
Ginger - anti-inflammatory for the gut and helps the liver with detox
MCT oil - caprylic acid is a powerful anti-fungal that can break down yeast’s cell membrane
Chlorella - helps bind to heavy metals and remove them from the body, removing yeast’s major food source
Kelp - rich in iodine - yeast can be linked to hypothyroidism and iodine can help balance the thyroid gland
@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM thanks so much!
What amount would you feed a 5 pound dog
I am not sure if my dog has a yeast infection, but what ive been reading, serms like its possible. She's 5yrs old, 70lbs, and has been itching, biting her skin and tail, licking her paws, and red rash on stomach and legs. She has a bad odor, even after we give her a bath. She's also staring to have convulsions periodically. Anything i can do to help her? Can't afford the vet bill right now.
Word of caution
After feeding this to my dog for about a year his bladder was full of stones that blocked his urethra and needed a 4 thousand dollar surgery to have them removed. He nearly died.
We got the stones tested and they were the result of a diet high in dark green vegetables and organ meats.
Consider checking with your vet to see if your dog is prone to these first.
Hi everything sounds good. but garlic killers' dogs, and also kale!!!
Nope. Wrong.
Sorry another question how long should you feed your dog this ?
You can feed it permanently if you want! There's nothing harmful in there.
Instead of using liver, could I use the guts and glory from four leaf rover?
Hey William! Guts & Glory is not meant to replace organs in the diet completely. We highly recommend still using liver and heart in recipes if you can get it, and using Guts & Glory on top of that to add those harder to get organ meats such as pancreas, spleen, and kidney!
Hello diana 😊 im your new subscriber 😊 i just want to ask 😊 how many days will this food last ? And what measurement do i use to in my dogs food? She's 8klgs btw ... my dog has a really bad yeast infection ... it will be helpful for me if you respond 😊 i did all i can to make her feel better ... please help thank you so much and God be Bless you all 🥰

so I have looked at all the comments because I hate asking repeated questions but I need to know if the Kale and broccoli are steamed or cooked at all or are they raw? thanks, and I really hope this gives my French bulldog some relief.
They aren't cooked, but they are broken down in the food processor very well!
Hi Diana, everything I've read is that garlic is toxic for dogs. Your opinion please.
Dana, is this diet balanced? Can it be fed long-term to puppies?
It is a balanced diet for adult dogs but not for puppies. It should be rare for puppies to have systemic yeast.
Im probly a little late to the conversation but im at a brick wall dead end... my 8 year old red nose pitbull has prettt much all of a sudden after 8 years developed a horrible skin teast infection that has taken a ton of hair from his belly, neck, and (im not positive this is just yeast and bot arthritis combo) his leg joints and feet/toes. He constantlt licks at his joints (i call them his elbows) and his toes. A couple of days ago we woke up i looked at him and the direction his head was laying, dark ear wax had been/ was draining all out of that ear on the bed and down the side of his head! I was floored i did not know wth was wrong with my baby! I used Zymox Enzymatic ear solution (it has mostly hydrocortisone in it) i went ahead and treated both wars it has seemed to clear whatever that was up. But ive also noticed when he poops first its well formed and "normal poop shaped" then he walks a couple of steps or so and then comes the very soft stool mixed with a mucas substance and a time or 2 has actually squirted a thin but for lack of a better description, powerful, stream of pure liquid!
I apologize for the description but if i did not get graphic i wouldnt expect anyone to guess the details ya know?
I took Hooch to the vet for a consult and diagnosis and estimate... 😮😢 i am a 49 year old widow ( i lost my husband of 13 years suddenly tragically march 1st of 2023, im waiting a disability claim and was forced to leave our home of 13 years by his estranged son (we were not legally married just no papers we had all the love and rings and been through hell and back together just no ceremony) anyways i got a $1700.00 estimate i felt and feel helpless and ashamed i am unable to provide my best friend, my heart and one of my reasons for living the care he deserves and am unable to ease his pain and discomfort because i dont have $1700.00. I have researched and read and asked dozens of questions as to a PROVEN DIY to help my baby. I pray this diet will help him on wven a small way and am grateful for ANY advice anyone can give me other wise. Like i will sit and lightly scratch for as long as he wants and as long as it makes him feel better just to keep him from scratching himself he scratches raw and bleeding. But if i do it once or twice a day or so it seems to comfort him. What is good for his whole body topically that i can make or get from pet supply or tractor supply that can help?
I truly appreciate yalls help and so does Hooch! ❤ to all and i hope tour fur babies are all happy and healthy and live long happy healthy lives!!!
If my dog is protein sensitive to beef, chicken, and turkey, can I substitute with a cooling protein?
If your dog is sensitive to proteins, I would work on gut health. This is indicative of leaky gut, not allergies. I can't guarantee the food will be balanced with other proteins, sorry!
Could I gently cook / bake meat and egg first and the add other ingredients latter. My thought is will the heat from the oven change the chemicals on other items like the powders etc ?
She talks about this around the three minute and 39 second mark? I was wondering too.
Thank you for this!! Do you have any recommendations for a good brand of electrolytes that I can order from somewhere?
Not really, so sorry!
@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM no problem thank you. I'll stick with small amounts of 100% pure organic coconut water then 😋
What would I be able to do to help prepare my dog before as well as after getting a vaccine any vaccine. To detoxify.
How much does this recipe make ? The Weight.
Is it only Turkey that can be used? Turkey is kind of allergenic. Can chicken of beef be used raw?
Didn't find where to say how big a dog this amount is for? Should this food be given at all meals (2 times a day)? Can a larger quantity be made ready and stored in the cold for 2-3 days (frozen for 1-2 weeks)?
You should feed nothing but this food ideally. You can make a 3-4 day supply for the fridge for sure! When I make dog food, I make several hundred pounds and freeze it (I have 5 large dogs).
Is the tumeric and ginger fresh or dried powder?
Use fresh - if using powder, you can use about half to a quarter.
My pit weighs about 70-80lbs. How much of this food should she be given? Can I mix it with her current food and use it more as a supplement?
If feeding just this food, your dog would need about 1.5 pounds of this food per day. You could use it as an additive to the current food you are feeding, but you won't see the full benefits.
garlic?
Is it ok to feed this recipe at same time giving the yeast free fido?
Yes, absolutely!
Is this safe for a Chi with UC? How often and how long is this recipe given? Sounds healthy for all the time…my concern is gassy veggies in regards to UC…. Any concerns since it’s mixed with other foods.
Sorry, what is UC?
@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM ulcerative colitis.
@@Andrea-kt6ds Ah OK! There shouldn't be anything here that's a problem but if your dog is under veterinary care, you might want to check first.
@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM thank you. He is. He is on medication. And doing much better. I don’t want to upset his balance. I feed him home cooked .. can he be on this just as a healthy diet ? I see no signs of yeast infections at this point. He does eat brown rice … to curb the runs And reading up it can cause yeast infection but nothing yet….it’s seems very healthy. He gets salt free pumpkin seeds I bake and grind..and krill oil in his food.
@@Andrea-kt6ds He can, yes. Be careful with rice unless it's tested low in arsenic. Here are some more recipes you can use too: bit.ly/3xyNPj4
what about a 6 pound chiwawa dog is a 1/4 cup good twice a day or 3 times a day?
A 6 pound adult chihuahua would need about 5-6% of their body weight, which is about 0.3 pounds of food per day. You would weigh the food and split it into a couple meals. A 1/4 cup of food twice a day is too much for a 6 pound dog!
My dog is allergic to chicken, eggs, mct oil. Would this still work?
I use Protect, and gut guard. Would that do the same?
How do you substitute the protein content as my dog is also allergic to chicken?
I try this. Adding some veggies. My Chihuahua girl got a fungal infection. Maybe it was my fault because I adopted a street dog. My Chihuahua girl didn't play with the street dog. The street dog is very healthy now. But I suffer with my Chihuahua girl. I am feeding my dogs chicken liver with hearts, some veggies (blendet). But my Chihuahua girl is soooo picky. Something in the food she doesn't know - she will not eat it. I even tried to make her eat it or nothing. She goes for nothing... 😢 She will not eat it. Now I try garlic and see what happens. 😅
The only bone meal I can find is fertilizer, any ideas where I can get the food version?

With 1 tsp. of Chlorella and 1/2 tsp. of kelp, wouldn’t this be too much iodine in the recipe?
For how long you started feeding your dog this food?any other recommendations?
You can feed this until the yeast problem is cleared up!
@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM can I feed it permanently,
My dog can’t have apple cider or pumpkin 😭 or ginger he’s intolerant to all of those but this does seem so good . My poor doggo
Are all ingredients (turmeric, Mct, garlic, etc.) other than the base food multiplied for larger recipes? I will be feeding my dog 3 lbs/day and wondering all measurements are 3x. Thank you!
You would multiply every ingredient by 3 if you are making 3 batches!
Some sources say garlic is very toxic for dogs.
Do the yeast symptoms get worse before they get better as the yeast dies off? Just curious because my dog that is seriously yeasty is stinking worse than ever.
The symptoms can get worse before they get better!
This recipe is safe for a dog's with 2 kidney stones surgery ? I have 2 dogs the one I mentioned is a Pomeranian very little and the one that is driving me crazy with yeast infection all year around is a Shihtzu... I'm tired to visit the Vet they are not solving the problem I'm tired to see my dog like that. I don't want more antibiotics or shots! So, I started to give her Equinacea Golden seal I noticed she is getting more but I think is working ! The Vet told me to feed her Rabbit kibble and I bought a bag but isn't go aways! Then I read has oatmeal, and carbs ! My question now is can I place this recipe in the freezer? I deeply appreciate your help! I'm desperate looking for help. Also, I made a spray bottle with apple cider vinegar, green tea, water. Also coconut oil and oregano oil as a cream to her belly... I'm trying all!
Hello! You can make a batch of this food and freeze it in smaller portions so it's easy to defrost!
