We love your teaching style Rachel because you don’t preach, just teach which we are so grateful for ,thank you
Great teaching! Very clear instructions. I will follow this when I put in invisible zippers.
Thank you for giving me the confidence to do this now.
Great demonstration - clear, easy to see and easy to follow. I’ve just followed along and have a neat end result. Thank you 👍
Wow that was so clear,i will be watching again when i come to insert one, thank you Rachel.🤩
Thanks Rachel, that was really useful, very well explained and very clear to see what was happening.
Thanks so much for this, i have never understood how to do this properly. Very clearly explained!
Brilliant top tip Tuesday. You explain it so well. Thank you 😊
Perfect timing for me to find this as I will be inserting an invisible zip in a pantsuit for my GD. Great tutorial. Thanks.
Thank you for the tutorial I have always been frightened of invisible zips but not now thank you.
Thank you so much Rachel! This is a game changer for me 🥰 Sending best wishes from Down Under 💖💐🌸🌺🇦🇺😎
Brilliantly explained Rachel. Everyone should be able to do perfect zips following your tutorial. I love the fact you used an ordinary zipper foot. ❤
You are my new favorite sewing teacher! I have been watching invisible zip videos all day, and finally after watching yours, I believe I can do it!
Amazingly clear instructions! Thank you Rachel!
Thanks for sharing. Like how you showed how to align the waistline with the zipper. Love your great ideas.
Rachel, you clear instructions, choice of fabric and colours make learning a new technique doable.😊
BRILLIANT!!! I love adding different techniques to my repertoire!
Just added a beautiful invisible zipper to my garment thanks to your very clear directions!❤
Best and clearest tutorial on this subject! Thank you
Thank you Rachel, especially the tip for getting the zip aligned with the waistband on both sides. Brilliant tutorial. I use a concealed zipper foot but you are right, you don’t need one. I do think a concealed zip is far easier than a regular zip and folk should not be afraid!
Most excellent instructions. Dare I mention fly zips? That would be a good one as I think it's the bit that puts most off making garments with them.
WOW! Amazing! Such perfection. I haven’t tackled zips yet, but when I do, I’ll be following this excellent tutorial.
Thank you so much Rachel! Brilliant tip again. 👍🏼👏🏻
It’s as simple as that?!!! Now I know! Thank you Rachel 🐾🐾
This is a brilliant explanation of Sewing in an invisible zip. I avoid putting in zips as they always go in wrong. Will save this and give it another go. Thank you
Thankyou for a fab tutorial Rachel. More confident in doing one now. Xx
I’ve always loved putting invisible zips in, have never basted before but will give this a try next time, video was really helpful thank you x
Great to see how you do this Rachel. Really helpful 👏😻
Of course you're an excellent teacher. You're a nurse.
Thank you so much for this fantastic tutorial. I can't wait to insert my next invisible zip!!
Thank you for that tutorial I found it really helpful, zippers and buttonholes are two things I struggle with but you made it look so easy.
Brilliant Rachel. Love your videos.
Rachel, that was an excellent tutorial! Thank you so much. ❤
wow such clear instructions, thank you so much, wish me luck, Im going to dive right in now, following your instructions 🙂
Wow you made that look so easy! I'm going to try this now as I really mucked mine up. Thank you
Another great top tip Tuesday loved it 🙌

Thank you, great demo ☘️
Spot on Rachel 👌😁💖😘
Thank you so much for your top tips/tutorials. Great timing as my next project is using an invisible zip.
Thanks for that and the nails are lovely
Another superb tutorial Rachel. Once again, really clearly and simply explained. My invisible zip insertion can be a bit hit and miss but your method is so straightforward. I think it’s an absolute winner. Thank you Rachel 😊 x
Thank you so much - have always struggled with invisible zips, so much so I avoided doing them but today I have successfully put in a 22" zip in a toile for my Mother-of -the-Bride outfit for which I've bought the most beautiful gold and purple brocade. Now I won't be worried about ruining it and running out of fabric! So well explained and easy to follow
Excellent tutorial. You made it seem as though I can do it…following your instructions I will do it.❤
This is just the best I've seen on youtube. You have covered everything, especially the finishing of the bottom of the zip. This bit I always struggle with, particularly getting a nice finish like you have done. All done without a concealed zip foot too 👍👍
This is incredible feedback thank you so much x
Amazing Rachael. Thyankyou.xx
Perfect!!! Thank you so much. You demonstrated this technique very clearly. Even though I’ve been sewing for many many years I learned something new today! I never based my zipper in before which I will be doing from now on. I’m looking forward to learning how you do your techniques! 👗🪡🧵🥰
Fab tutorial. Now ill be singing madonna get into the groove when i so an invisible zip 😊 looking forward to next Tuesdays episode x
Fabulous explanation Rachel Brilliant x❤
Beautifully demonstrated and explained! Great tip for lining up the centre of the zip. I have just subscribed. Thanks Rachel .❤
Hi I was so impressed with your dress last time wow that was so nice thank you for sharing
Fabulous Rachel thanks for that 🙂
Thank you for this tutorial. Love the way you teach the different methods. If you can go over the Lois dress neck line that would be fab
Fabulous
ThNk you Rachel 😊
Love this. Any tips on invisible zips gratefully accepted. They are my sewing nightmare 😢
I would love to see a tutorial for inserting sleeves, especially set-in sleeves. Love the invisible zip instructions, it is just great. SewAnne
sew a line of stitching along the top of the sleeve for easing.
sew the sleeve to the bodice front and back.
press open your seam.
THEN stitch the sides of the bodice together.
Much easier to match the sleeve to the bodice.
Just take care to match the ends of the seam between the bodice and the sleeve.
So much faster and a better result.
I’m going to a zip workshop this afternoon. I hope they make it look as easy as you do. I’ve saved this video just in case! Thank you
Thank you so much for a fantastic tutorial ❤
I've sewn invisible zips before and have had reasonable results. But you have explained it so well that I've picked up a few tips to make them even better. The way you explain the technique is brilliant. Thank you x
Brilliant Rachel ,I some how end up with a pucker or a gap at the base of my zip 👍thank you hopefully I be able to do a perfect zip now
Nice one Rachel. Thank you
Brilliant…thank you. Will be giving it a go. x

Marvellous video - thanks Rachel. Making matching bias tape and also applying it to necklines and armholes please.
Best zipper tutorial ever. Thank you Rachel, I am using your method from now on!

Suzanne
Best tutorial I have watched on hidden zippers, thank you xx
brilliant tutorial, keep them coming x
So helpful. Thanks petal! X
Thanks Lucy!
Thanks heaps Rachel, I have been sewing for a few years and am still not confident sewing in an invisible zip. You're instructions make it feel like it's something I could tackle now!
Do your thang! ❤ you!
Zippedidoda perfection!🤩
🤣🤣🤣🤣I love that!
Fantastic tutorial Rachel, well done. I’m really enjoying these tutorials, you show every step so clearly and your explanations are also clear and precise. Keep them coming!😊
That was so informative Rachel. Thankyou so much you are so calming to listen to and your instructions will be so good to follow.
What a great tutorial! You’re an amazing instructor and I now feel I can finally insert an invisible zipper. Thanks so much !
Thank you Rachel. Just brilliant again. Really loving these new tutorials and very much appreciate the close ups and clear camera work. Can’t wait to try this out. 😊
Ohhh once more brilliant!! So much better to see it done in front of you amazing thank you Rachel.
You made that look very straightforward - just the second pinning looks a bit tricky as you need to get your head round turning it twice. I think I might do a practice in order to cement the method but you gave a very comprehensive explanation. Brilliant!
Yes just practice and remember that’s why you keep both pieces separate unsewn until the zipper is in so if it gets twisted you can flip your fabric piece out to untwist (can’t do that if it’s fully attached to the other side) just remember the coils face inward and you can’t go wrong
This is the first tutorial that I’ve seen with just a standard zipper foot - yessss! It’s something that I should eventually buy, but in Australia you don’t get much change from $100.00 for an invisible zipper foot for my brand of sewing machine… Thank you Rachel❤
Too true, Australia is pricey, I’m glad to be able to use the one I have now.
Thank you once again for a fabulous tutorial. I love the fact that you use a plain fabric, it makes it so much easier to follow. I really like your top you were wearing the colours suited you. ❤️🏴
Have seen some finish the rest of the seam just a smidge out from the invisible zipper seam. Going to try your way and hope for no bump. Lynne from California
Ok so I have huge issues with this and have watched most tutorials, this is by far the easiest and simplest ones to follow… I will be practicing this weekend watching this a few more times I’m sure 😊 x
Well done!😊
Rachel, that was truly brilliant! Ten days ago I struggled with inserting an invisible zipper in a dress I made to wear to a wedding.
I thoroughly enjoyed the construction process until I got to that zipper. Decided that was my last ever zipper. Let’s just say it turned out okay, but just partially invisible. After your tutorial I am now going to create an example to have for future reference.
Thank you so so much for this series. Have a cup of coffee on me!💗
I’ve just seen your Kofi donation thank you so much! I truly appreciate it and I’m so glad it helps!
Brilliant. Thanks
Thank you, Rachel! I love your method. I never learned to use a basting stitch, but that really will help.
Brilliant, I was inserting a zip last weekend after a g&t and sewed by finger OUCH!! I can see me coming back to this video again and again, thank you x
and another great demonstration. My pocket in jumpsuit that i did last week following your method turned out AMAZING. I always tend to ignore patterns which have an invisible zipper, no more. Thank you
Lovely video! I usually use the Stitch sisters video for invisible zips when I need a reminder, but they use an invisible zip foot, and I don’t have that. It was great to see how you do it with a normal zip foot. Never thought of basting first. Thanks!
Good job girl ,.👍👍
