  • How to do an ignition tune up on your 2011-2016 6.2 V8 gas powered super duty truck. This procedure is similar on the 2017-up 6.2 Super Duty trucks as well as the F150 and Raptor with the 6.2 V8. In this video I am using Motorcraft SP-526 OEM double platinum plugs (Paid Links)
    amzn.to/3174AQW with aftermarket coil packs from 1A auto amzn.to/2YnZnHF I am replacing all of the spark plugs top and bottom and all of the coil packs.

    I about shit when I bought my 6.2 and found out it has 16 plugs 😂. I'm a diehard LS truck guy but my F250 has been the most reliable truck I've owned. Complete shit gas mileage but I'll take a reliable work truck over gas mileage any day Thanks for this video.

    Might want to check the plug torque recommendation. I believe it to be 159 inch-lbs or 18NM (Newton Meters) not foot-lbs. ? Otherwise I appreciated video. I changed all 4 passenger plugs from below by peeling back fender well liner.

    • @mattk1358
      @mattk1358 4 роки тому +1

      160 inch lbs is 14 foot lbs so if you go 18 nothing is going to happen.

    Appear to have the same issue with a 2017 F250 with 67,000 miles. Mine triggers the check engine light which generates the code of P0300 and/or P0316 (random / multiple cylinder misfire detected. Ford quoted me $2500 to replace all 16 plugs, corresponding wires, boots and coils.

    While back we messaged about the android just turning on randomly and killing battery....yea this isn't the post...LOL anyways after going to 6 stereo shops(experts) and spending fee hundred bucks.... I started looking at components.. I found the bus interface on android head unit was causing it.... somehow Mister wired Mister triggered not sure I put the interface from Crut*&field inline cured problem..... the hard part was wiring that 10 wire unit into a 6 wire harness... I ended up sending that stuff to a fella he built a new harness including the new interface... works 100% holycrap over 350.00 to make it work...... ouch... but I won!!!!!!! LoL
