A tip. You should cut and angle down the flaps on the canards, as those are always down when the landing gear are down (they are linked). This configuration with flaps up and gear down is unatural, and even impossible.

To create the weighted effect heat the base of the wheel with a lighter or candle then press onto a firm base. Paint the inner wheel first then paint the tyre, if your paint is thin enough it will do all the hard work for you by capillary action and flow around the seam. Hope this helps.

For future project, inner gear doors are usually up until gear retracted, or manually down for service, like the Mirage 2000.👍
That's a lovely build on a difficult kit but why have you only done 3 colours on the splinter camo and not the correct 4? Where it should be dark green seems to be left black and the right canard has no camo pattern at all? After all that effort and fine work and especially with the masking, I don't understand why you have done this?

Wood filler? You should put a name like 'Tamiya' or lets say 'Mr Gunze color aqueous' on it, specify it for modellers and mark up the price by about 60%.
Sir hi, a very nice build, I would suggest you to wear gloves next time, to avoid your fingers & hands getting dirty with paint, it makes life more easy, I am an Modeller my self.

Nice build. :) But looks like you made a three tone camo? It is supposed to be four colours, black, dark green, light green and brown/tan, on top.

Ah ok, sorry. :) It still looks real nice mate. If you ever build another Viggen in splinter camo, there is now very good matches from this Slovakian (?) company Mr. Paint for all Viggen colours, even the greys for JAs and the other two greys for the AJSF from SWAFRAP (same grey as SwAF SAAB Gripens). I made my black slightly, slightly green since it is not to me THAT black.. Atleast not on worn aircraft. Some say that Tamiya´s NATO Black is a good match....

For 1/48 that a very large plane have never met the real one in person it must be massive. Great paint work on the build.
