- The 1/48 scale SAAB AJS-37 Viggen from Hobby Boss is the fifth kit from stash mountain. This is a full build review of the model, including the use of the excellent aftermarket splinter camouflage masks from DN Models. A splendid kit of a superb aircraft: there was a lot of fun to be had!

Looks great Trevor.
Thank you very much :-)
Really nice work Trevor.
Thank you very much, Mark! It was a wild ride, this one!
Fantastic work. This is not the simplest camouflage to paint.
Thanks very much 🙂This is such an iconic and beautiful aircraft. I messed up with the camo masks, though. I applied them to a gloss varnish surface, while I should have applied it to a matte varnish surface. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! Much appreciated!
Fantastic build 👍
Thank you very much, and thanks for watching!
Wow, you're throwing yourself into the deep end with that complex camo scheme and it turned out beautiful, even after the paint on glossy surface saga! Very nice mate...lovely job overall! Cheers : )
Thanks, Martin :-) It was a lot harder than I'd imagined it would be, but a good learning experience. And I am happy with the way she turned out, as I was expecting a total disaster after removing those masks!
Nice build, really like the camo work, well done!...Bill
Thank you very much! I wish I did a better job with the camo, but I love the colours. Hopefully I'll do better next time :-)
Well done.
Thank you very much :-) This model fought hard, but luckily I managed to fight back! - Trevor
Brill job Trev , it looks awesome ! Really well done on persisting with those masks . Good stuff
Thanks very much :-) I love the camo scheme, but those masks were fighting back hard!
Well she turned out awesome great job sorry about the paint😁🍺🍺🍻👍🇿🇦
Thanks, Travis! Looking forward to your next video!
beautiful job Trevor .difficult camo to paint / mask . happy easter from Wales .
Hi Fred 🙂 Wow, you're on the other side of the world! Thanks very much for your kind comment. I loved the splinter camo on this one, and had to give it a try. I messed up by using gloss varnish before applying the masks - I should have used a matt or semi-gloss. But I think she turned out okay in the end! I hope you had a wonderful, restful Easter!
@@OstrichLongneck Hi guys , I have put some chibe / cute / compressed (eggplanes ) jets on my channel .have you tried these ? i can recommend them for a little light relief !
Great build of a great aircraft. An aircraft which doesn't eat meat or dairy!
At about 4.41 the photo-etch looks to be fully painted whilst still in the sheet. Did it come like that or is that your work? Either way, I had not really considered doing it like that before. All good stuff!
Thanks Alon :-) The photoetch was pre-painted by Special Hobby. I also thought they did an excellent job, as the seat belts even have a woven pattern when examined up close. I don't know how they did that! Thanks very much for your kind words!
