    Excellent build. I can't imagine the patience for the paint scheme.

    Great smaller Viggen again, well done and the 3D printer seems to be more and more usefull for modelers.

      Thank you, yes a 3D printer is a really great tool. 3D modelling and printing is hobby in it's own right, so it's easy to get distracted :D :D

    Great looking Viggen, I like how you worked through the fit issues an added great extra detailing. Beautiful paint job as well. Especially the dreaded Viggen camo scheme. Very well done. enjoyed the vid. Excellent compilation. (Must admit I've already started on my Iskra build)

    The Norwegian Army used a very similar camo scheme on its vehicles + the Bell 412 helicopters. We painted a Hägglunds BV-206 (a real one) in that scheme. Actually using normal paint rollers...

    3D printed weapons? 😨 Oh come on, that is tantamount to getting Yoda to use the FORCE for you! 😆
    Seriously though, astonishing quality and skill, hats off to you, super impressive! 👍🏻😃

      Yeah, I understand what you mean. I think that 3D printing is starting to get into the scalemodelling hobby and it is an excellent complement to scratchbuilding. It is fantastic to be able to make your own aftermarket parts.

    Also, I think strictly spoken the Sidewinders on the JA37 should be the older AIM-9J version, I don't think Sweden was cleared to receive the AIM-9L version until the Gripen entered service

    Incredibly well done! I haven't started my SK + SH duo yet (Special Hobby), but will definitely use some of your tips, especially with the M90 camo. Thanks for the video! Subbed!

    Very nice build! But 1 point of attention, the main landing gear doors of the viggen where closed when the aircraft was on the ground /parked. For the rest hats of very good build. 😉👍

      Thank you very much, Jozua - I'm glad you liked it!
      You are correct, generally speaking.
      But service personell could open up the landing gear doors if they wanted to access the landing gear bays for inspection/service. I talked to a modelling buddy who made his military service in the SwAF about this.

    Very nice! Would love to have a model like this :) Maybe you already knows it, but the anti collision light underneath the body doesn't exist on the JA. And the position lights is not the correct position for a JA. Anyhow, fantastic work :)

    • @KillBoxScalemodelling
      @KillBoxScalemodelling  5 років тому

      Thanks Jimmy. Yeah, there are a couple of errors... :) The stencils on the fuselage pylons are in the wrong position and there are a lot of details on the thrustreverser that I didn't bother to scratchbuild... I save that for the 1/48 version ;)

    Great Job !! what a wonderful aircraft the Viggen is . how do you cut hypodermic needle without squashing it ? Wales UK.

      Thanks @fred Ted 😃
      I cut it with a jewellers saw and then I sand down the rough edges with a 400 grit sandpaper

    Question if I may. What is Liquid Sprue?

    • @KillBoxScalemodelling
      @KillBoxScalemodelling  5 років тому +1

      It is a mix of styrene and Tamiya Extra Thin glue. You chop the leftover runners/sprue from a model kit into a bottle of TET and mix it until the plastic is completely dissolved. Some people call it "sprue goo" or "sprue glue"
