People misundertand this clock is not a hub, is a nest mini with screen and crapier speaker. This is meant for before sleep and when you just woke up. I still think its a little overpriced. I got the nest mini for arpund 400 pesos(my country currency) about 19 or 18 bucks, got a nest audio and a nest hub for the same price each 999 pesos(around 45 to 50 bucks each) this thing is 999, at the same cost of a nest hub or audio is a no no. I do want one though its looks sleek and its for what it is. Some infor before sleep and to get things ready to sleep, turn light off, look electronic doors, set alarms and go trough some task you might have early. The same goes when you sleep. This is for yoy beedroom it is not a hub but thats why i think at least in my country is bit too expensive ymif it were at half that price i would habe bought onefor each family member ages ago, its looks nice, its older people friendly since it look biffy and not like somethibg that will break if you touch it, also it doesnt want you to stream things all the time like a nest or berate you with deals from prine like alexa xD anyway i want one XD

Great video! Perfectly clear. Two question: can I only turn off lights un the room i currently am? Can I set a music alarm trough Spotify? Does it have incremental volume?
Hi, thank you! Yes, you can only turn off the lights in the room where you placed the clock, and if you have several lights in that room, you won’t be able to control them individually by using the display. I haven’t tried setting a song from Spotify as an alarm, but I googled it quickly, and I think it’s possible. About the volume, you can ask it to set it at a specific percentage, although, I’m not exactly sure if Google rounds that number off. 😸
@@CharlesDuante thank you for your answer! Yes I googled and to set the alarm I have to do trough voice commands. This and the inability of control single lights in other room makes me dubious, as I'd wish to be able to do some things silently to not disturb my partner if she's already sleeping

@@MrKolta i didn't. It had a few things missing for an alarm clock for me. As far as I can understand you can set a Spotify alarm only by voice, which I find uncomfortable

Do you have any idea why my touch screen of the clock is not work so good ? Also i choice to show me the clock but this after a few minutes show me everything want, backgrounds some other settings etc without to touch it. The clock make the changes. I have reset to factory settings but again the same. How to fix it ?

Just got mine but it doesn’t support 5ghz wifi and couldn’t do speaker groups with other google speakers. But still pretty decent. Ang gets really hot also. And do you know how to connect this to a bluetooth speaker?

I've had some weird stuff happening to my clock. It used to show me the last 3 playlist I've played for my spotify. And now suddenly that page isn't visible anymore. Do you know any solution to make it show up again?

You can delete the alarm on the Google Home app but you can only set an alarm on the clock.

Can you disable the mic if you already have a Google nest mini in your room? Can you set it to show the album art of the song that you're playing if it's playing on a Google nest Mini?
Hi! Yes, there’s a mute switch to disable the mic. As for the album art, I think the workaround would be is to set the smart clock as the default speaker for the Nest Mini. But I haven’t tried it yet.

I have a question for you : example : I have an alarm (set to all week days at 6 am) , Monday morning i wake up at 5.30 o clock ,so I don't need the alarm anymore, but i don't want to delete it...i just want to make it mute for the current day... There's a physical button to make this without the need to use the "hey Google" voice command (just for not wake up my wife...:-) ) ? Thanks !
Hi, thank you so much! When you have an alarm set you’ll see it together with the clock face. Simply tap the alarm on the clock face and it will cancel the upcoming alarm. 😸

Is it stable? How does it perform compared to Google Home mini? I have heard comment about it being slow to respond to commands, the clock glitching and general stability issues. How is your experience? If this device performs as well as the Google Home mini, its screen is a big factor to prefer the Xiaomi Smart Clock.
Hi, it works most of the time. It glitches sometimes. Currently, I mainly use it as a clock and as a part of a speaker group. I turned off its microphone since I have a nest hub not far away from the clock.
@@CharlesDuante now a few months on, how do you say it has performed? My biggest concern with clocks is reliability of the alarm feature. If it fails more than once a year, it's useless. Really it should never fail.

Hi, I haven't made it work yet. I tried troubleshooting it, but I gave up. 😹 The weird thing is that I'm not having any problems with Duo on my Google Home minis.

The watch need to be always connected to the electric socket? Or has it a battery that I can load like in the smartphones? I have to put this clock in the bedroom and I don't like to see electric wires (I have Designe glass bedside tables ) this is unsightly...
Unfortunately, this needs to be plugged in like a typical Google Home.

I wish my Lenovo which is pretty much exactly the same thing contemporary clock face would work it's just blank All the other faces work except for the one I want The analog clock second hand is so fluid it looks fantastic but I want the digital also which is called contemporary on mine I don't know if there's a way to download thank you

Hi! I was wondering if anyone watching this video could help me. I have two Mi Smart Clock. I just did a factory reset on one of them and now I cannot set it up since Google Home doesn't detect it.
I've tried doing the factory reset again, turning it off an on, leaving it disconnected for a few minutes... I've also tried to connect it to Google Home using another account and different mobile phones. But nothing works. The clock just show the screen where it indicated to install Google Home app to configure it, but nothing can be donne since Google Home is not capable of locating it.
Anybody knows what to do?

Hi, I tried pairing it with my other Google devices and it doesn’t work, it just shows an error. It doesn’t even show up when I try to create a speaker group. I’m not exactly sure if it is just a bug.

Yes, if it is connected to your Google Home app, you can do that by asking it. If it is placed in a room where you want to control the light, you can toggle the shortcut on the Mi Smart Clock. 😸
Can it didplay the time and the day at the same time?
Unfortunately, you can’t. I tried all the clock faces and it can only show the clock together with the temperature.

Hi, I’m not sure if it’s a bug, but I can’t group the smart clock with my other Google Home speakers. I’ll have to do more troubleshooting to figure it out.
