I wish that I could, somehow express my immense gratitude to master Shi Heng Yi! I'm a 55 year old man diagnosed with advanced osteoarthritis. It's most evident in my back and neck. I could feel and hear every vertebrae whether I was standing or sitting. I found this video, by accident, one day and decided to try it. The first few weeks I experienced muscle pain, but as my body adjusted to this routine, the muscle pain subsided. I'm 16 weeks in to doing this every morning. My back has improved at least 60%, so far!! My pain levels from the arthritis are way down and I definitely have more energy during the day. Once again, thank you!!! I truly believed that you've changed my life master Shi!!!

I am a 47 year old Navajo Chief, mother of 3, a Christian and student of Buddha Consciousness and lastly a clairvoyent. After becoming the victim of a negative energy attack due to my heritage & spiritual gifts I reconnected with a consistent practice of Shaolin Qi Gong. Not only has it brought me to a sense of consistent spiritual healing, mental and emotional healing, a reconnection with my spiritual guides, it has freed my body's physical encumbrances and energy fields almost completely of uninvited negative energies that were plaguing me with physical pain from head to toe. I am blessed to have been guided back to Master Shi's and Shaolin Temple's videos for practice.

Like so many others, I have much gratitude for this. As a former professional athlete, now a single father and sole parent with a whole new host of life's challenges, I felt myself getting simply disconnected and out of touch and at nearly 50 now, my body was starting to show the signs of aging. I knew, somehow, that there was more to life than accepting my tired and sore body and my detachment from things that inspire me. I may not be where I want to be...yet....but I am surely on my way. To move with elegance and grace, and peace, is the goal.

For example, my hair loss cut in half, mouth sore/abscess with no blister and recovery time cut in half. Most importantly, I found my osteoporosis is improving. The gap between my fingers is closing more together. I have not yet to the advance level so my "light" exercise helps me sleep through the night. Once I move forward in the future, I will consider exercising in the morning or afternoon. May all your kind hearts to find peace and have a wonderful life!

all those very slow movements of the body have a profound and directs effects on flexibility of your all articulations specially the spinal column thru which is circulating the universal vital force (the chi) along the spinal cord which is a bundle of nerves inside of the spine.this energy gives life and intelligence to all living beings .consequently Tia chi chi gong and similar exercises have a direct effect on health , anyone can prove it to himself. those who practice chi gong or taichi are convinced of the powerful improvement of their mental physical and spiritual state of being. the spine has been called by spiritual masters of Egypt China and India " the tree of life ".

Instructions for Breathing / Intention / Movement:
Qi Gong consists of 3 "pillars": Breathing, Intention, Movement. For most of the exercises you can try the following pattern. Everytime that you inhale, focus your mind / intention in bringing positive / vital / healthy "Energy" / attributes to the navel area (dan tian). While exhaling direct this collection of positivity and health towards the areas of the body that you think needs nourishment.
In regards to this very specific type of Qi Gong in the video. The aim is in strengthening and vitalizing your tendons especially. For each of the 12 exercises the intention shifts to different areas of the body.
Relax the muscles as much as possible and try to access only the tendons (so both endings of each muscle, which is connecting to the joints of the body.
For the beginning this is sufficient.
The more familiar you get with your breath, your intention and the movements, the more deep and intensive the exercises will become. Tendons will start to become soft and flexible again, granting you with the ability of having a more flexible overall body and also ability to move more freely again.
    Amituofo,
    Shi Heng Yi.

Thank you for the message. I would advise you to look for a person close to the place where you are living at let it be taught to you personally. Learning through videos and DVD's is not always a good solution, unless you really know what you're doing. Go to a local school and experience yourself the type of Qi Gong that they are practicing and excercising there.

Grazie. Sono una fisioterapista e sto portando questa pratica nel mio modo di proporre il movimento ai miei pazienti. "Stay calm". La voce del Maestro è nella mia testa quando l'ansia del lavoro e della vita quotidiana mi assalgono. Infinitamente grazie.

This is for me! The movements, music, I had surgeries and gave up doing anything just laying in bed all day no walking or anything, I just now did this as best I could and so thank you I was waiting to die , not anymore now I am relaxed and ready to live again. If I knew the right words to say as to not offend I only know God Bless you, if that's alright with you. I need this in my life in my mid 60's so thanks again!

When I first saw this video I wondered whether it's humanly possible to stretch to such extremes, I will surely end up in multiple cramps! However Sifu's excellent fluid movements and the comments of the practitioners, especially those with spine issues, gave me confidence. I shall certainly follow this form, a beautiful thousands of years legacy from Shaolin.
