I am a life long martial artist since age 6. The past 10 years I have been plagued with Arthritis in my left hip. I have been practicing Ba Duan Jin and Yi Jin Jing about 5-6 days per week. and have enormous improvement in my leg. I am very grateful for your wonderful teachings which are helping me to heal. It is the horse stance that is literally burning the disease right out of my hip. I am sincerely grateful to you, and I respectfully bow.

you may not believe this, but even I started practicing martial arts (Kyokushin) at 6. then I became a couch potato and had been sitting in front of screens for the past 10 years, and developed a weak left leg (weak hip) and a stressed and tight right hip. Had been doing basic forms of tai chi for a week and felt that I made a connection with the internal movements / intent of kyokushin (moving specific muscle groups in the forms with proper pressure on proper joints) and have found it really working.
P.S: also bought a kick scooter. helps with the leg stretching.

I`ve been struggeling for almost a year with depression, suicide
thoughts and anxiety because of personal issues. I thought i would not
find anything that could help me to overcome my problems without using
any kind of medicin or so, because of the side effects. Until i searched
for Thai Chi and Qi Gong that could help me. I watched many videos until i
saw yours. It`s my third day practising by following your program here
on youtube, and it`s very deliberating. I practise two times a day, at sunrise and at
sun down. Since it is my first time practising, it`s difficult for me to breath proper at
the same time as i make the movements. So to learn it proper, i`ve been
practising the movements first. Then i followed your video where you
learn guided breathing. Until now since i started i can fineally get to
sleep a whole night. So thank you very much master Shi Heng Yi for sharing this :)

The controlled movements and breathing help a lot. It is still very tough for me. I I still have quite a ways to go, but I will continue because I actually enjoy doing this. But qigong is das secret to a long or short and healthy life.
When I practice Shaolin Congfu slowly,

I know the point of these practices isn't to look good but just wanted to comment that not only is your form gorgeous, but you have a movement quality that reminds me of very well done ballet (of which I've seen quite a lot). Lira Maria There is a great story of a man named Maxic he was almost dead from a disease and all he could do was lay in bed and flex his muscles until his body ran out of energy. He slowly but surely did what he could to get back his strength and a few years later he ended up being one of the worlds original strong man! Ripping phone books in half and putting large muscular men twice his size to shame. Point is never give up mama! You could do two hands support the heavens sitting down I’m sure:) peace and love!

i dunno about payote's comment, but my own personal anecdotal story. i was bedridden for years with me/cfs. my body as i used it less n less became 'locked up' i was in absolute agony all the time. in the waiting room for a doctor appt such was the pain that i laid down on the floor. luckily, it was nearly closing time, i was one o the last that day, not that i cared how weird i looked XD Some lady came in, asked if i was ok, i explained i was hurting from years of inactivity (since feb 2014 n this was late 2018) She told me about ALexander Technique. if u can stand n sit n lie down, you can do it. ive been able to make movements i havent made since i was a teenager (n started neglecting my body) and i grew 2 inches taller within the first 6 months of weekly 1-on-1 lessons.
Due to lockdown, my body has started deteriorating again without the lessons reminding me to take care, so im doing this Qi gong twice over.
First lying down on the floor, ensuring my waist n up are correctly aligned as possible throughout n the 2nd time im standing in front o a mirror n with a focus on the lower body being in correct alignment.
From my time as a care assistant in nursing n residential homes, if you dont use it, you will lose your mobility. youd be surprised what you can do once you start. you may not be able to do things now that in time you will be able to do. ive seen it. All thats happened at ur age, in most cases cos im generalising, is that certain muscles n ligaments are too loose n others are too tight, just as i was.
The biggie for me was noticing my hands curling up the way the elderly clients did n that it WAS painful to open my hand fully.
Maybe you could start by sitting on a kitchen stool.

    • @Patriotasudamericano
      @Patriotasudamericano 3 місяці тому

Hey... I inhale when moving my arms or hads up and the opposite down if attention are following their movements. It's because where mind goes energy follows. It is good while making Qigong to direct energy upwards.
