Haven't tried but looks like it may. You can always reach out to Quadmula support. Walksnail VTX supports 25x25 mounting just like the O3 and the camera is 19.6mm, which the frame support 19mm. You'll need to figure out how to mount the two antenna though, it doesn't come with a mount for that.
@mangorille: Hi, I'm a fan of small copters and I fly a 3 inch and a 1.6 inch copter with the Vista unit. I think your video tutorial on the djinn 25 is great! It's also great that you share your setup with the community. What do you personally recommend, a 4s setup or a 6s setup for the 2.5 inch? Greetings from Germany
I have the problem that I bought a ready-made Djinn25, which has the same hardware setup as yours. Unfortunately, I can't set up the copter properly. It twitches on the yaw axis during flight. I want to test your PID tune now. I suspect a defective gyro.
@@Mangorille i have these twitches, if i take off and the Copter does go with the back to the left side clockwise. During flight, you can also clearly see these twitches through your glasses. I suspect I have a bad gyro. I will now test your dump and see if the flight behavior changes. Without a propeller, the motor tab looks inconspicuous. The motors spin up smoothly without any failures. Really weird
@@SaschaMittag Without the props on, do you feel any weird vibrations when you spin up the motors? If you put all the bars at one point on the motors tab, do all the motors show roughly the same rpm (you'll need bi-directional dshot turned on for this)?
@@Mangorille no weird vibrations, i changed to Bluejay and Set the Pids and Filters to default. The copter Flow better. I will try your Set up again and give you a reply.
I'm on the fence if I should build the 3 or the 2.5 from quadmula. Which one do you like better? I've wanted to use it for freestyle and some cinematic flying in the city/a more crowded area. Because of the new laws in Europe it's not allowed to fly over 250g self built quads closer than 150m to building and people anymore. And is the EP2 sufficient range wise? Even with an EP1 it should be under 250g right?
@@timspilka4684I'd suggest the 3" in that case. The only negative with the 3" is that you have the props in the video recording but if that's not a deal breaker then the 3" is the better freestyler.
I‘m more the Freestyle Guy😎 luv my 5 inch. My 3 inch is nice to fly, but the QUADMULA Frame rocks and i like to try this 2,5 inch Ripper with my hd Setup. I saw a lot of Videos with the 6s . So how is the Performance ? What do you recommend? On my 3 inch i use 1404 4800KV Motors and the Copter has a lot of power with 4s.
If under 250g is not a priority, go with 1604 motors and 6s. The reason I ask about 250g is that most small 6s battery packs (say under 600mah) start to lack in performance (e.g. high internal resistance).
Hello. I need your advice. My djinn25 assembly is powered by xing2 1404 4600kv motors, 4S 650 mah, weight 258 grams. I would like more traction. What kind of motors can you recommend? Maybe it makes sense to change the motors and switch to 6S batteries?
Your setup sounds very similar to the one I used when testing this frame. I don’t think different motors will have the impact you’re thinking. What exact issue are you having? Have you tried doing a PID tune on your quad?
@@Mangorille Thanks for the quick response. I used your PID settings, it flies very well. My build: djinn25, xing2 1404 4600kv, Speedybee mini 35A, dji o3. I use two 4S 650 and 850 mah batteries. First of all, I really did not like the quality of the xing2 motors, four flights and the bearings on three motors rattled. With the weight of the entire assembly at 257 grams, the hovering gas was 29% (it seems to me that these engines do not have enough thrust, I want a little more powerful). I was thinking of changing the motors to tmotor 1404 4600kv or 1404 2900kv and using a 6S battery. Maybe 1604 motors will do? I need your advice.
@@andreyspb1701 Interesting, I found the quality of the Xing2 to be fine. Been flying the Xing 1404 motors for the last 5 years. The T-motor 1604 feels better but you're adding more weight so it will impact the handling and flight time. I really wouldn't recommend those on the f25. I'm checking out the Skystars 1404 given Chris Rosser's video so I'll see if those are any better.
@@Mangorille Thank you so much for your support and your response. I took a chance and ordered 1604 2850kv. I can't refuse anymore, I'll have to try it. How did your weight end up at 235g? I've just built mine and I'm on 251g with that same battery. My stack is the other way around but that's only going to account for about 3grm of wiring, where you have an extra zip tie. I can't see where I'm wasting 15g That's with 3 blade props too.
Check 3:35 in the video where I weigh individual components to see where yours is different. I suspect you’ve got heavier motors. I ended up at 239g with the battery strap after the build.
@Mangorille I don't think it's the motors. Yours work out 41g total and mine are 8.8g each. All that's different are the tpu feet and chin bumper I have. Plus a rubber band on the battery to keep the balance lead out of harms way. Could it be the 8 prop screws? I don't see those on yours when your weighed it. Or my scales are wrong, I prefer that option 😂
@@davidcane7211 The TPU feet and chin guard are 6 grams, which I don't run. The final weigh in did not include the prop screws so that would probably add another 2-3 grams. You're not too far off my build. The rest can be simple things like wire routing, type of wire in your power lead, etc.
@@Mangorille I changed the battery strap for a shorter narrower Diatone one and seem to be down to 250g with the 4 blade props. Hi, i saw the filter Setting in den BF Tab, Both solidere are full at the right side. Ist this correct? Whats the motor temperature, are they overheating? Regards, Sascha
Correct, I rely more on the rpm filter. You can have the sliders all the way to the right if your quad is mechanically sound and not very noisy. If unsure, start with the filters in the middle default position.
I thought about 1604 motors but those are really for 3.5 - 4 inch quads. Seems like too much motor for such a small quad. You can probably run the 6 blade props on the 1404.

The motors don’t spin when you try to use the motor tab in betaflight either? Is it always the same one that start up while the rest don’t spin?
@@Mangorille running BLHeli all works fine, motors spin in Betaflight Config as expected. I upgrade to BlueJay 21 and only one motor spins. Hi Mangorille do you use Bluejay or the Stock esc Firmware Bl Heli S, with your PID and Filter Setup ? Oh sorry i didn t see your Video Part with the Bluejay flashing my mistake
You want a firmware that has bi-directional dshot. Either blheli32 if supported or bluejay.
@@Mangorille i have the Same Stack with the new Bosch Gyro . ESC are jh40. Bluejay is possible
@@SaschaMittag Definitely get bluejay on there.
Does walksnail moonlight fit in it?
Hello. How important is it to stay under 250grams for you?
What kind of material and filling degree do you need to print O3 tpu side panels to ensure that there is no jelly?
The camera side plates? TPU at 20% infill with 0.15 layers.
I have the problem that I bought a ready-made Djinn25, which has the same hardware setup as yours. Unfortunately, I can't set up the copter properly. It twitches on the yaw axis during flight. I want to test your PID tune now. I suspect a defective gyro.
How exactly does it twitch and under what sort of maneuvers?
Which is more important for you: freestyle or cinematic flying?
@@Mangorille probably freestyle
I calculated the weight of the drone on these motors and the battery will be exactly 300 grams. Now with 1404 motors and a 4S 650mah battery, it is 257 grams. I hope that everything will be fine on the 1604 engines. I can always go back to 1404. Thank you for your support.

awesome video! if you had to pick one, would you prefer the quadmula 3 or 2.5 ? I'm on the fence and i cant decide!
Why type of flying do you plan to do and where?
Great video and thanks for sharing your tune, just built my own Djinn25 in a very similar config and while stock betaflight was alright, its definitely much smoother on your tune.
Glad to hear that. You can also go through the PID Toolbox process yourself to find a tune that is more specific to your own quad. ua-cam.com/video/dnVW6agh_u4/v-deo.html

Do you have a tune for 6s?

Hi, wich BF Version do you flight for your djinn? Regards Sascha
How did your weight end up at 235g? I've just built mine and I'm on 251g with that same battery. My stack is the other way around but that's only going to account for about 3grm of wiring, where you have an extra zip tie.
I can't see where I'm wasting 15g
That's with 3 blade props too.
Also changed the rubber band on the battery (strapping the balance lead down) for a shorter one.
Quite happy now, just need to conformal coat that stack so I can crash in the damp british grass 😀
@@davidcane7211 Great! If you really want to reduce the weight, go with a decased air unit. I've done that and have another video on my channel.

If unsure, start with the filters in the middle default position.
i might try to use 1604 motors on 4s with 6-8 blade props.. just for the noise.. how do u think it would fly?
I thought about 1604 motors but those are really for 3.5 - 4 inch quads. Seems like too much motor for such a small quad. You can probably run the 6 blade props on the 1404.
Hi Mangorille, please can you make a screenshot from your Pids and Filter Settings from your 4s Setup. I would like to Test this with my Djinn Build too. I use BF 4.5.0 default Settings and like to Test your Pids and Filters. Thank You for your Support , best regards Sascha
The pids you see in the video is on a 4s setup. You can also find the betaflight configuration file in the video description.
I have a speedybee f7 mini as well but I cant find a pinout for the o3 air unit. How did you connect them?

@@Mangorille Do you still fly the Djinn F25? I'm considering between the F25 and F3.
@@chesterlim15 For what kind of flying?
@@Mangorille less cinematic and more freestyle. I was hoping that it’ll be more similar to a 5inch without being over 250g.
@@chesterlim15 If you intend to do more freestyle you definitely want the 3 inch. You can easily the get the F3 under 250 gram. The F3 is my daily flier, I've got a bunch of build and upgrade videos on my channel.
You need a discus. Lol i need to redesign a O3 version but it will easily surpass ur needs. Dogcom 550 have new tech and weigh like 20g lighter than 650s so that probly be a fun option and triblades but how you liking those 4 blades? I have em but so behind on testing.
I was surprised that the 4 blade flew better. First time running 4 blade for me.
Why Bluejay/Bidirectional DShot?
You need bi-directional dshot in order to use RPM filtering, pretty much the standard way of filtering now-a-days. This is not supported on regular BLS firmware so you need to install Bluejay. If your ESC is a BLHeli32 then it already supports bi-directional dshot and you wouldn't be putting Bluejay on it.
Awesome@@Mangorille thanks!
Is there really not a camera mount setup available for the f3 that has no top plate in view?
The f3 only has a tiny bit of the top deck in view in the goggle view. The onboard view doesn’t pick up the top deck (at least at normal with 26 degree uptilt). No way to get rid of the props in view though on the f3.
@@Mangorille I'm ok with the props in view but the top plate in view seems insane, good that it's not in the goggle view but it'll drive me insane to lose FOV cropping in on the DVR footage....dam

I love that setup, and trying to reproduce it as much as I can (i.e couldn't find your iFlight XING2 1404 4600kv Motors in stock, so I ended up switching for BrotherHobby TC 1404 4600KV Motor, though I don't even know what's the difference). A quick question though, is there anywhere I can find what extra wires I will need and / or a plan on how to soulder all that together? xD
Hey. Very rewarding to build your own quad, congrats on taking the first step to doing so! If you choose the SpeedyBee ESC/Flight Controller Stack I linked in the video description, it comes with an amazing manual to walk you through where you need to solder up the wires. All wires are included with the parts you will purchase. The only thing would be the receiver that may not come with wires. Which receiver are you looking at?
@@Mangorille Haha yes, and thank you for your kind response, I'm eagerly waiting for that feeling of proudness for having built my own. Good news that it comes with everything and instructions. I'm not sure yet, because I have the googles 2 and the DJI controller 2, I was maybe thinking about going with just the O3 for now, I know there's ELRS and crossfire, and I've heard a lot of good things about ELRS and the Tango controller, as it has more penetration and range than the DJI O3 built in receiver, but I didbn't make up my mind yet. Any advice on that one?
