*On the day of thanksgiving I have decided to make a video all about starving elderly people to harvest their psychic powers to commit war crimes in space!*
You can do some DARK shit in Rimworld. I love how people are like "You can make a prisoner a blood farm, you just need to remove their legs so they cant resist and feed them paste."
So many people around the world enjoy your work! The early pickup of vehicle framework and having that good to go out the gate when he released it showed great foresight! Love your mods Oskar!
19:52 Awakened from unnatural sleep and buffeted by magical flame and lightning, Daniels decides that now is the ideal moment to talk to Orlene about cooking with cauliflowers. And good thing too, because mere seconds later, Daniels collapses, battered and bloody. He can shuffle off this mortal coil at last, knowing that this most vital wisdom has been passed on, inspiring Orlene to defy the flames consuming her body to speak with... "Dead"?... about practicing with darts (20:46). Truly a testament to the legacy of knowledge and the preservation of humanity.
You actually picked some of the least effective spells. The elemental ones (especially the ones that light people on fire) are very good but mostly if you get higher psy sensitivity to boost the damage. If I remember rightly, Chronopath can drain the youth out of somebody, which debuffs them enough to immediately down people in most circumstances. Then you can just capture or execute them. You de-age by 2 years and age them by 10, which is great because you can gain tons of psy exp by aging yourself rapidly. Take a prisoner and slowly age them to death for free psy levels
I had a similar thing. I was playing around with custom xzenotypes, making werewolves with infectors. I was very surprised when, thinking I'd just turn the guy into a werewolf for fun, he fell unconcious and let me keep both the neuroformer and their legendary eltex staff.
Let us praise Spiff. Oh Spiff, oooh you are so big. So absolutely huge. Gosh, we’re all really impressed down here I can tell you. Ah yes vanilla psycasts expanded. Get yourself a vampire prisoner, turn them into a harmless nugget and have a chronomancer cycle between using them as an infinite age battery and timeskip meditation for endless psycasting xp. Better yet make your chronopath a technomancer so you can make rings of age and timeskip meditation so you can share the power with all of your psycasters.
Raids get harder as your colony's wealth grows. And every time you stun a mechanoid, it's ability to resist the stun increases. That's the adapts part. Therefor you want to spread out your emp attacks to not stun them while they're already stunned. (Edit: my stun info appears to be inaccurate)
EMP adaptation isn't that complex. They take the stun. Then they're immune for a set time. Once that time passes, they can be stunned again. Nothing affects this mechanic. No amount of EMP will make the time any longer or shorter.
Psycast expanded is so fun to play around with. My favorite path is the Warlord path with a Sanguphage, Killskip on a pawn with high melee skill and extra melee damage with a good melee weapon can be very destructive. Even better if the weapon is a Persona Monosword with Kill-Focused, so you regain Psyfocus on kill. Then you just pop Blade Focus(Melee Speed boost), Controlled Frenzy(Reduce Heat on kill), and put Killskip on autocast. As long as your pawn can kill either on first hit or in 1-2 extra hits, you now have a teleporting assassin god.
Same thing is achieved with ranged warlord. You pick: Trigger happy + Shooting specialist role To reduce aiming time to 1% psycast to reduce reload by 80% And either bandolier -15% Or reload proficiency (V Skills Expanded) -20% Give pawn legendary sniper rifle, and you got yourself sniper machine gun.
It’s a little riskier, but you can also do this with Heatstroke by putting a bunch of heaters in the throneroom and building a wall in front of the door. Eventually they’ll try to mine out, but if you can keep the walls repaired you can knock out both the bestower and some guards to get some charge weapons in addition to psylinks.
"Surely, nothing can go wrong." Except when the game spawns in a pack of manhunting capybara and combat supplier together, 2 hours before the yorkshire tea terrier shows up. And while the suppliers are killing the capybaras, the indirect minigun damage cracks a hole in the nearby ancient danger, releasing hordes of megaspiders. But the incendiary launchers used to combat the spiders cracks open the cryptosleep caskets, and out pop several hostile humanoids in cataphract gear and plasmaswords. All the while the grand melee is occurring, a meteor of granite plows the praetor into the ground, killing it instantly and drops your reputation with the best equipped faction in the game. That. That is what I was expecting.
That mechanoid that survived is one of the easiest mechanoids to kill. The reason it was still alive is *because* you kept spamming spells at it. For reference, mechanoids don't give a damn about burn damage(unless you've got yayos combat), so hitting them with lightning just stuns them and hitting them with fire does practically nothing. Literally just march someone up to a pikeman with a club and they'll win.
All spamming fire on the mechs did was burn up the loot in the room, yeah - and the loot is the main reason to open an ancient danger in the first place. On top of that, the thunderbolt power states outright that all it does is set things on fire where it hits, with EMP damage in a wide area around it...but EMP damage does nothing to non-mechs other than break shield belts.
@@Rel_Ortal Given all this, it's a miracle that he survived that long. :D Especially since vanilla already has quite potent psycasts as well. (my favorite being skip and berserk for obvious reasons)
In this episode of intergalactic war crimes a woman goes full caveman and becomes the broodqueen of an insect hive. Oh and some people nearby become wizzards, Barry.
It's a Rimworld game where peaceful visitors are allowed to leave alive with all of their organs still inside them. That's actually above average morality-wise as far as UA-cam videos go. No cannibalism, slavery, organ harvesting, etc. Just a little elder abuse and theft. You set some raiders on fire, but killing raiders is pretty much expected.
Spiff: Chihuahuas are demons that thirst for blood. Me: [Looks to my chihuahua, who just wants to sit in laps and be pet constantly and is slightly portly from being given a few too many treats.] Yes, such terrifying creatures. Always love a RimWorld video. Great game.
TBF, the entire VPE mod is an exploit. Even after they nerfed it to only allow psycasters up to lvl 30. But let’s be real, everyone turns that up to lvl 300 and goes crazy with their lightning throwing, laser eyed and dominating space wizards.

The reason why the wild women doesn't trigger the insects is because the wild women in-game is counted as an animal and not a human. And while insects always attack humans, they only attack animals when hungry.
For someone with so many hours in Rimworld, I'm surprised your stumped at the Pikeman surviving. He's a robot. Fire doesn't hurt it, and it gets immunity to EMP (i.e. lightning) after a few hits.
