You should do transition like the medieval playthrough with the sapling child lol. I could totally see abandoned guaralenien child start, maybe corruptors (alpha memes) or nature focus and their story of being abandoned by their parents. Awoken to be surrounded by hollow empty grounds.

Good story :D Now we need a heartfelt tale of a solitary cabbage child, born into a ravaged and abandoned colony, learning to read and write off of all the notes left by the previous colonists, until it stumbles upon all the drawn-up plans and schematics of the ship, and realises its parents have abandoned it. Then it goes on a quest to find (not build, for a change) a ship of its own, to chase the bastard parents. A revenge story, if you will ;D

@@ReynaDraws what they said wasn't COMPLETELY correct, but humans do develop cancer cells very often. Like, tens of times per day at the very minimum. What we know as cancer is just advanced stages of these cancer cells that have gotten past detection long enough to establish a foothold, a tumor. or tumour. your choice.. usually the immune system stomps out cancer cells before they become tumors, though. our immune system is pretty damn good at killing cancer, but those rare moments where they evolve to get past the system is what's concerning

Pro Combat Extended Tip: Mech Clusters have a weakness. Smoke.
Turrets can't target through smoke, People and Mechanoids can (they get some accuracy malus tho iirc). Meaning you can just approach the cluster with a smokescreen laid down via smoke grenades and shoot the turrets completely safely, from a very close distance too. I haven't tried, but you might even be able to melee them if the turret itself is smoked out

Hell, if I could, I'd use the Z-levels mod and place my batteries in different levels to make sure that no two batteries are EVER near each other (the Z-levels mod changes the base game which functions only on the X and Y axes and adds the Z plane, meaning the game now functions as a three dimensional space and pawns can move up and down the Z axis which creates actual layers of height and depth like Dwarf Fortress)
