Right? I feel bad for him - especially when people misspell his first name.

Finally a good monologue after so long! Also can't get over how everyone went absolute bananas over Andrew Garfield🙌
His 2017 monologue was excellent too… watch it again

Brendan Fraser deserves more love from his peers.
Well deserved oscar.

Now that is what you call "An Oscar worthy entrance"... brilliant idea!
Top Gun was also "Oscar worthy" film in my opinion and not just for Sound but more
Jack Palance's push-ups were even greater, but it was well done.
Best monologue ever in Jimmy Kimmel..
Oops !! the Oscars!! 👏
Jimmy Kimmel is Incredible :) Please bring him back to host the Oscars next year :)
Nailed it
The Spiderman, Fabelman and Guillermo joke was hilarious 😂😂. Jimmy was really good with this monologue, wasn't expecting so many good jokes from him especially some risky jokes.
I really can’t wait to see Guillermo’s video at the Oscars.
At last, a ceremony where monologue isn't boring!
Yeah. He touched on everything. Kept is classy, light, funny while acknowledging the talent in the theater.
@@davidfeltz8697 yea cuz the world is getting sensitive so you know so that he doesn’t get cancelled
Is Hollywood back?
Safe and boring
To be fair, last year did gave Jimmy some material
Maybe it was just me but I really love the sense of camaraderie that Kimmel developed just calling out the names of those characters....(got chills with Mandalorian) as if they would form some kind of an Oscar superleague LOL....
Haven't watched this in thirty three years. And my happiness just keeps going.
It actually would be funny to see people danced off stage lol

Perfect host and monologue. Addressed everything that needed addressing including a little reprimand for the audience’s apathy last year. Well done Mr Kimmel👏
Well, we didn't see Matt Damon on stage trying to slap him...I won't say it's exactly perfect.
that was the best part. I actually faded away into my phone listening and then I heard that and had to rewind. That was the first thing I noticed last year during the slap, not a single knucklehead moved an inch.

That Seth Rogen joke 😂😂 Jimmy was amazing here 👏
I don't get it but I still laughed. Lol
One of the safest & tame monologues in Oscar history
Two actors from "Encino Man" won an Oscar in 2023, so happy for both of them, Michelle Yeoh & Jamie Lee Curtis👍👍👍👏👏👏😂😂😂

Jimmy Kimmel was the perfect host. I laughed out loud a lot, right up till the final bit. I noticed in the comments a lot of new fans - watch his show, as he is perfectly hilarious every single night. He is the absolute best!!!
I watched in uk yesterday. Jimmy is the best. Made me laugh. Was my favourite opening in many years. Great job Jimmy.
the hesitation in applause when he said spiderman 😭😭 they were definitely expecting tom holland there
Andrew Garfield's facial expression "I know, I'm not Tom" was pretty funny.
He was one of the Spider-Man so close enough 😂😂

I loved the "Fabel-Man" bit at 12:27. Love Spielberg's humour.
I just love how brendan fraser stops clapping when he is mentioned and on camera and starts again clapping for the next one. Such a great human being

I rhoguht kimmel would ssy austin butler next but he got forgotten
I love that Jimmy points a spotlight on Guillermo any chance he gets.
Next to Billy Crystal. Jimmy Kimmel has definitely become my favorite current Oscars host. Knows how to play the crowd and celebrate the movies nominated at the same time.
That's how you redeem yourself! jokes and remarks that are almost crossing the line but just don't... Incredible job Jimmy Kimmel... And finally the oscars where worth watching again!
there is no redemption. hes an establishment hack
If you think Chris Rock’s GI Jane joke crossed the line, then your line is way too low.

Yes, because loosing an ENTIRE career over a weak GI Jane joke is sensible. If Spielberg decided Jimmy "crossed the line"...then what? Absolutely no justification for the idiotic and classless action that occurred last year

You know you're getting older when the Oscars camera pans to the audience and you have no idea who 50% of the people are
The Grammys are 10X worse!!
It just means you're not watching a lot of movies nowadays. I recognized everyone, but that's because watching movies is a hobby for me.
I thought the same thing when they panned the audience. Even stopped the video and had a good look. Been watching the
Oscars since the 1960's. I guess I should be happy to be here to see if I recognize anyone at all.
if you're watching just the oscars and not the movies that are nominated, yeah you're gonna have a hard time :)
thats a good thing, but if you really want to know they are pedophiles and satanists.
you know what, this is what Jim Carrey was saying when he said that Hollywood aren’t the cool kids any more. Jimmy Kimmel is making some honest jokes and the these people sound like Jimmy just insulted them 💀 It’s good to say that some people have the scene of humor to laugh at themselves but i’m honestly glad the slap was mentioned, the jokes were honest, and Jimmy kept pushing through, despite how the crowd was reacting to his jokes lmao
Andrew Garfield is the best Spider-man from the worst Spider-man movies. Even the best actors can't redeem a poorly written film. He deserves another shot. He was so damn great in No Way Home. Honestly the best part of the movie.
Jimmy Kimmel did an outstanding job hosting the show! I have not watched the Academy Awards for years and really, really enjoyed it this year!
andrew’s reaction to “youre gonna have to tangle with spider-man” is the most peter parker thing ever! 😆
