People seem to be surprised about the way Chris Rock handled his assault. Remember this, he's been doing stand-up comedy shows since his teenage years, and during the course of which he dealt with hecklers of all kinds. Airway was fine, circulatory-no bleeding obvious, color good, good mental clarity. Chris Rock made a joke that was in very bad taste. Will Smith has had to live with the trauma of his wife's medical condition and knows how difficult that it has been. It should have been handled better, yes. He said it is also not uncommon to see a public school kid pick up a trash can or other heavy object and knock another kid out. Sure the kids get put out og school but they don't care. Public school is not what you remembered from the 60's and 70's. In my day kids had to be able to read/write and do Math to graduate.
