Its the clutch engagement motors. Unit on front of transmission, look for plastic cover , that the prime source of the noise,

Not sure if it helps or if it ended up being something else but if you look underneath up above your turbo resonator, there is a heat shield and somehow it shrinks up and the bolt no longer holds it tight. If you remove the bolt and put a washer on it, it will tighten right back up. Could be that.

Sounds internal. I'd put all the stock parts on and take it to Hyundai for service. Hyundai has 5 year 100k powertrain warranty.
