Surprised you didnt do better. I ran an old 5.7 charger like a 2008 ish in my wife's stock turbo Soul and it was dead even lol. High elevation though and the Soul doesnt give up any power at elevation

@gtdrummerdude I have a video of me running a 5.7 charger boat, they are too heavy. But was from a dig. Smacked it, roll races are different indeed.

Hate to be that guy, but a dct veloster is essentially a manual (for people that dont wanna drive a manual). I for one do not want to constantly have to clutch and shift every time i need to stop or go. In the veloster N with paddles i can simply tell the car what gear I want to start in any time I do a pull and then the car does the rest pretty much on its own without me having to interact too often with the transmission. Sure you can build the car and have it do some crazy shit, but as someone who only wants it stock with an AEM cold air and a bigger BoV, there's no desire to push the thing any further.

@@Too-Gq-For-You Sixth element! They did a fantastic job! Took it to a local Dyno and now pushing 240hp! I'm the second owner and the previous owner took excellent care, it only has 64k on it so it has so much more life

@XDemonicBeastX9 that's awesome man! I'm currently pushing around the same a bit more at 246whp. Fun car & you have plenty of life indeed. Stay on top of those oil changes & keep the cooling down as much as possible.

@@Too-Gq-For-You oh yeah I really baby it, I have fun once in awhile otherwise I'm pretty reasonable. I've been super lucky, mine burns nearly no oil and I barely get any in my catch can. I'm a bit paranoid and I change about every 3.5k and at 50k I did the trans. Never had a check engine light (well only when I installed my BOV because one of the lines popped off)

@mrglennchapman88 🤜🏽🤛🏼 Since my veloster is turbocharged, its prone to earlier failure issues compared to the naturally aspirated veloster your son has. My woes are self-inflicted due to tuning and racing the car. Im at 145,000 miles first owner. 3 flywheels replaced 40k miles - 65k miles 85k miles 2 DCT's replaced 40k miles - 85k miles Turbo & headgasket replaced at 120k Engine rebuilt at 130k (due to flooding in montecito ca during storm)

While the Veloster N is a rough ride, I don't think it is as bad as so many people claim. I picked up a DCT version 9 months ago and have put nearly 20k miles on it already. And 95% of that time was in N mode. Absolutely love the car.

In this vid i was pushing aroun 240whp. Nothing crazy. I'd go for 2015 - 2017 veloster turbo's. The 2013's have catastrophic engine issues with weak rods.

​@@Too-Gq-For-You ALL THE GAMMA issues were in both gens .. not as prevalent in the 15-17 models .. my 16 threw rod in cylinder 3 at cruising highway speeds ... 127k original miles had to replace entire engine and turbo group.. grenades the block.... Use synthetic blend oils and DO NOT PASS A 5K OIL INTERVAL!!!!! GDI engines "gas" your oil .. and gas is a solvent which breaks down the viscosity of your oil .. Hyundai says 7500 in the manual dealer says 3 k .. my engine guy says no more than 5 on syn blend or full syn... Thought I'd share 😊
