Just when you think that one of these guys is soft, you sit with them or listen to them, and realize they’re just in rest mode and are complete badasses.
If u think navy seals are soft because they don't feel the need to be scary because they know they will put you down first especially if you under estimate someone, I'm in my early 30's and have had someone bully me for the last 15 years and finally got fed up with them when they tried to attack me on Christmas day and knocked them out with a little jab because this person is a 3rd degree black belt who beat me up many times because I didn't want to have to hurt him, he learned fast this time after I dropped with him to stick my sharp finger nails in his eye gauging his eye out, he thought he was just going to make me his victim again, this is someone who has never showed me any type of respect and I didn't enjoy having to do what I did, a navy seal will disable you permanently very quickly, and thats dope he still skates, just rode my board the other day and have not used it for years but grew up skating
I caught this entire webcast by accident at 0225 hrs. Sitting about to go nuts, you know, another sleepless night. This show helped me. Can't say enough to vets about how much they mean to me, words can't go that deep. Y'all kept the bad guys over there and kept us safe that's for damn sure. I think the Lord guided me to this podcast and Mike, you and Ryan reminded me that the light at the end of the tunnel was the sunlight, and wasn't a 100 car Freight Train. There is hope if you don't quit trying.......God Bless America! This podcast thingy helped, and I don't know shit about cell phones. 👍🤠
As a 61 year old women I'm loving all of your video podcast as well as dog training ! My dad was a Marine in Vietnam and after 4 yrs went into the Air force . Needless to say I have much respect from all enlisted . I'm also an avid licensed handgun enthusiast.
Just wanted to thank you for doing these podcasts. I joined the Navy in ‘93, fresh off of reading Richard Marcinko’s book, pumped up and ready to go for my dream. I ran into red tape as I had signed a 6 year deal, per my recruiter’s advice, to be an HT, one of the supposed prerequisite jobs for the teams. My first and only command was the Dwight D. Eisenhower, CVN 69. Within a year, I was out on my backside. OTH discharge for a fight on board, with my weld shops 2nd, an E5. I actually thought that might just help me get orders to BUDS. I was so naive. My review board said I would’ve been great for the Navy of 20 years prior, and that I didn’t belong in today’s “ Kinder gentler Navy”. They denied my request for transfer, and I was told by some Team guys out of Little Creek, VA, (Team 2) that I had blown my chance anyhow, having a misconduct attached to my record. So, I asked to be sent to BUD/S, or sent home. Obviously, I got the latter… Long winded, if you read this, thank you. I’ve always looked up to Team guys. Much love and respect, I so wish I could’ve been mentally strong enough to have had the chance to see if I measured up, and to have possibly been part of the pack. I never was, nor will be, but your podcast let’s me peer into the lives and stories of those I truly respect, and takes me back some 30 years to a dream long forgotten. Thank you
Great episode as always one of the best podcasts there is would be cool to see DJ Shipley or Don Shipley or hell maybe even Tim Kennedy on here next good sir
I pulled all the seals off the planes in TQ at that time. Definitely appreciate them going into habbaniyah and wiping out the mortar teams that kept hitting us and the marines so hard.
Dear Mr. Mike Ritland from the hip shall we? Smiles - ok then here i go Simply Listening to you ~ not so much the Words ~ what is in between them, Sir The Foundation of those Thoughts and Words and Well Wishes A Good Man A Gentle Man A man that has inspired me to become a better Human Being Thank You, Sir. i consider you a Hero and Thank You So Very Much for Your Service and Your Sacrifice
I am a big jacked dude... (the type often the first to ring the Bell in BUDS). Look at this SEAL. You do not have to be huge and jacked to get through BUDS, get your Trident and become the Tip of the Spear. Heart and soul. Desire and focus. Relentless. High speed, low drag. Respect!... little capable, deadly brother.
First Of All, Thank You Both For Your Service 🇺🇲. Thanks For A Great Podcast. And Thank You For Being True Americans. Who Even After All You've Done For Our Country, Still Feel The Drive To Give Back To The Nation And It's Heroes.
Wow Ryan is a badass!! Has so many things going and taking action! A lot of great causes. Definitely gonna stay tuned with his projects 👊🏼 Thanks for 20% off btw 🙌🏼
I was friends with a SEAL OIC in Rosy Roads back in the day. We would watch Das Boot over and over while consuming Gin Gimlets. He told me one time, "I don't feel alive unless my life is on the line." I hope he made it out alive. I did.
The two generation after WWII were not told to serve, or shown how to serve, not just in the mi,Italy but in the charitable works that our country needs. Bird man rocks, or, I guess I shouldn’t say that to a base jumper. Birdman is the man.
Mike you're right that was powerful. When he was talking about the wake, and that Revenge had been succeeded and the guys that killed them are right there in the back and everybody clapped, I'm not going to lie I got pretty teary-eyed over that, because I know and I get it, I absolutely get it
Great guest mike he was in detail with his story's . I felt like i was there when he was explaining his story. PS your interviewing skills are fantastic too . God bless ,keep it up
I listened to this episode (driving on a trip), and I would’ve bet it was Daniel Tosh!! Sounds exactly like him!! *until I heard the pain in his voice regarding David!
What a great honest interview, no macho gunhoe bullsh*t, no I killed so many people , bragging about fantasy sh*t you wish you had done in a situation. Down to earth, real , honest interview, thank you so much for this upload.
It’s not only health man it’s you’re doing the most honorable jobs that people look up to like we’re hero’s and giants. My whole career every time I came home I was treated like a celebrity. Parades were thrown for us red carpet treatment. Then the day you get out it all stops in a blink of an eye nobody cares who you are and what you did. Meanwhile you’re searching for a job that gives you the pleasure you just had for 10-20 years and it’s impossible to find. But some can’t realize that no matter what they do or how hard they search. There is no greater honor than serving your country and some cannot come to terms because it’s very very hard. Everyone loves a soldier until they come home. But a soldier is never taught what to do when we get home.
God bless our 🇺🇸 warriors! Send more drones . keep our son's and daughters safe. That should be America's first priority along with protecting The American Peoples Rights ‼️🇺🇸

That guy who got Tabasco sauce in his eyes won't have problems keeping them open after that 😂😂😂
You can tell the guest is very honest, and is truly refraining from just blowing smoke up the viewers ares's; I can appreciate that.
Love this guy, super humble, a warrior, and a servant of his fellow man.
Thank You Mr. Birdman + Mr. Ritland #USA
So I can sleep peacefully at night America produces men like this. Grateful.
Just when you think that one of these guys is soft, you sit with them or listen to them, and realize they’re just in rest mode and are complete badasses.
I dont think there is a such thing as a soft seal. Thats what BUDS is for if your soft you aint getting that Trident. They root out all the soft ones
Maybe you thought he was soft.
