A faraday bag is a must for wireless car keys too. There's a huge problem in the UK with thieves using relays to take the signal from the key and steal the car. It's got to the point know where, because people use faraday bags for their keys at home, they'll follow nice cars to the shops, hijack the key signal there and steal your car from the carpark
If you take the fob out of the bag to use it, no bag will help. Fobs do not get pinged, the arm/ disarm signal is intercepted. Mech locks are the answer.
@@jinksomiabodyart3189 interception is definitely a method that's used, especially since they worked out how to get around the rolling codes. But relay thefts is the biggest problem in the UK right now. There are plenty of doorbell camera videos of people walking up to people's front door in the middle of the night with their "blackbox" then just getting in the car and driving off because they've used a relay. I'm an electrician by trade, two decades experience. This tech is no boogieman, it's been used to automatically turn lights on/off to conserve power for AGES now. It's called ultrasonic sensors and I'm a bit flabbergasted that people on the internet are turning this into some kind of conspiracy theory especially since we already know the Alexa records video/audio all the time just like the smartphone in your pocket. Ever walk into an office or school room and the lights turn on (and off when you're not there) automatically? Yep you guessed it, either infrared or ultrasonic sensors built into the switch itself or as a separate sensor in the ceiling. Most of your "smart switches" nowadays have the same tech and they're connected to your internet so you can remotely actuate. Nothing sinister, just saving a few more watts by turning off stuff that doesn't need to be used when no one is in the room. Infrared tech creates a 2D "heat map" of what it sees, any changes in heat reflect motion and it will turn the switch on, it cannot see through any objects, even glass, but it has excellent range. Ultrasonic tech creates a 3D "terrain map" which can see through/around things like bathroom partitions which is handy to know if someone is taking a long shit, it will detect your motion and not turn the lights off on you, it has quite a bit shorter range compared to infrared but is required for things like bathrooms.
I've painted an apartment for a person who has electro-sensibility problems, just near a 5G cell tower, and it works quiet well+ some other mesures to reduce exposure. It's a graphite paint, quiet expensive and a pain in the ass to work with, but, it works mitigating signals.
SIR NICK; Walk tall and know you are admired beyond your imaginings!! What you bring to the table, for the rest if us, is incredible APPRECIATION! Peace be with you always, and NEVER take anything for granted!
I’m from Philly and the opening car doors shit is happening here as well they got me like 4 times to the point where I had to set an alarm to remember to lock my doors🤦🏾♂️
I had a similar circumstance with my car. "Describe what you're wearing." "I'm naked, ma'am. Tell them not to shoot the naked man." After that, I still got told "I will shoot you in the face, throw that gun away out of your reach, and lay down on your face!" Had me on my face in late October, naked, in the cold, and handcuffed me. Figured out what was going on, picked me up by the handcuffs, cut my wrists, had me naked, covered in grass in front of my ex while she was crying, etc. "Uncuff me, these hurt." Nah, before they uncuffed me, they just HAD to explain why they treated me that way first. A 20-minute lecture of why they did what they did without uncuffing me...I sued, I won, but I'll never respect that profession again. "I can't uncuff you until I tell you why we were right to mistreat you." Smh.
One of my best friends moved into a new townhouse. At 5am cops kick in the door home invasion style and my buddy runs down the stairs unarmed and waiving his hands in the air with his pjs on. The cops take him down, beat him up, strip him naked and cuff him. After they searched his entire house and wrecked the place, they started actually talking to him and for an hour kept him naked and cuffed. When they left they did not clean up and the door had been completely broken and his landlord charged him for the repairs. The cops had search and arrest warrant for a guy that had not lived there in years! Wanted person was short black male and my friend is 6.2 blond hair and from Sweden. No apologies from the cops.

This man a real life hero. 2024 just got even more surreal. Didn't think that was even possible at this point.
The fact the dude immediately started crying and begging to not get shot after breaking into your shit was so horrible, I seriously commend you for not blasting that dude away because I would’ve wanted to. These kids have absolutely no respect for anyone or anything… It’s a massive problem and it’s only getting worse in some places… I would’ve had a very hard time controlling my anger if someone came back to my house after robbing it the first time.
People in the US are so obsessed with killing each other
We had an attempted car jacking in my driveway a few years ago. I ran out and had one round fired at me as they ran down the driveway. The gear your mind goes into is crazy. I can't even imagine being this guy when the switch gets flipped.
I dont follow, attempted car theft or carjacking? Were you, or someone else in the car?
Thats crazy man, scary stuff! Glad the perp missed!
@@MattH-wg7ou my sister in law used to live with us. It was winter so she was warming up her car in the driveway. The kids hid and waited for her and her friend to come out and ran up the driveway as she was getting into the car. Opened the door, put a gun in her face, and she started honking the horn and that's when I ran out.
@@nickender7094 wow that is wild! You saved them dude! People are crazy out there man!
@MattH-wg7ou worst part is they were like 14 and 15 year old kids. One of them had been previously arrested 7 times for the same thing. His mother blamed the police. I'm not making that up.
@@nickender7094 wow. Of course.
EMF paint use to be called lead based paint back in the day.
One of the biggest mistakes people make when concealed carrying? Not having definitive plans on how to avoid and remove themselves out of the situation.
21:00 - the best advice ever heard. when i moved in with my girl and she knew I had a pistol, i gave her instruction and even took her out to the shooting range so she would be familiar if she needed to use it. she was anxious at first but realized that if she was home alone and something happened, she has the confidence now to operate the firearm safely and accurately. ...i say accurately because she put a group almost as tight as me on the her first run lol
“Go get my bih! My 12 gage sawed off shotgun” 😂😂
He sounded like a kid getting his first gun for his birthday! 😂
How you know he’s a real gun guy 😂 fucking love it
Hyeah! Every new gun you buy feels like buying your first 😍@@fredwilliams748
No matter how many guns you have, getting a new gun will always you feel like kid getting a first gun.
If I broke into somebody's house, my luck would be the reapers house. So I don't f with people

I don’t think I have ever watched an interview of Nick where he was this relaxed and actually smiling. Very cool!
Col Douglas Mcgregor would make an amazing guest. That gentleman has lived and full of amazing advice.
Agree. I really like Mcgregor
Absolutely!
People have a right to defend their property.
According to the law, they don't.
They should, but it feels like that right has been stripped by some terrible people in this country.
People in USA are obsessed with privat property, and they do not own a thing. Everything they own is under mortgage. 😂
@@9ZERO6as in defend to the appropriate level, which he did lol
@@nkotur What a weird statement. What's the opposite? Having nothing? No where to sleep, nothing to eat? wtf country do you live in?
I put my phone next to an old pc's speaker that has the Beatles song Revolution 9 playing on a continuous loop. I do not get many calls so I am able to leave it there. Hope whoever tries to monitor my phones data likes the Beatles.
I love how people genuinely think they are so interesting, governments want to spy on them and their life as if they were James Bond...
10:37 *rushing to Google to search Nick Irving “ice cream truck*😂😂😂😂
Tell me why I thought about making the same comment and yours popped up, on the comments that change randomly, without clicking the actual comments
“There’s no rules of engagement stateside” stand your ground lawyers all just collectively shuddered lol
What a true Alpha. And I agree about the Sig. GENIUS move by the Sig guy. I've been carrying a Glock for years, and I must admit, it tics a shitload of my boxes. Never fired one, but I will next week.
Hearing that Alexa uses sonar to track you in your house reminded me that I heard somewhere that the Roomba vacuums 3-D maps the layout of the house and sends all that data somewhere, assuming China.
The future is so sketchy

@@ShriekingCrows-bp3vh Oh really that's cool. Doesn't make me feel any less sketched out about robots or the future of technology. But thanks, I did not know that
@@ShriekingCrows-bp3vh if anything it's more threatening when it's the American government since they are like China in many way these days they're just 100 times better at it.
@@cleric670ignorance can turn technology into demons, thanks for explaining
I've painted an apartment for a person who has electro-sensibility problems, just near a 5G cell tower, and it works quiet well+ some other mesures to reduce exposure. It's a graphite paint, quiet expensive and a pain in the ass to work with, but, it works mitigating signals.
SIR NICK; Walk tall and know you are admired beyond your imaginings!! What you bring to the table, for the rest if us, is incredible APPRECIATION!
Peace be with you always, and NEVER take anything for granted!
“Why is this guy fighting the ice cream truck guy”😂😂😂
Sig is smart as hell for this.. you can’t pay for this type of plug!
They’re everywhere atm. On it.
Looking forward to the full interview!
Nick is one exemplary man! He's a straight-up, righteous dude! Nice interview.
I’m from Philly and the opening car doors shit is happening here as well they got me like 4 times to the point where I had to set an alarm to remember to lock my doors🤦🏾♂️
They broke my handle doing that dumb shit in KOP
Yes to the Douglas MacGregor interview...I'd grab the popcorn ❤
I completely agree when he says boys don't have that stuff in them (I have am currently experiencing that)
Best 23 minute start ever
I am still trying to figure out what the ice cream truck driver was doing LMAO
I think rubbing one out was what he was implying
He was eating all the ice cream 🤷🏼♂️
I think he was making his own version of ice cream in the truck. Lol
Use your underwhelming imagination.
Probably creamy sprinkling the floor in his perv truck.
"Or you break your wrist cause..." 😂😂😂
13:19 Bro this literally feels like that gun shopping scene from john wick 2
@@hubriswonk even when you sue, the city pays. Insurance pays. They do not care.

Nick is a good dude, served our great country with honor and rid this planet of some super shitty really bad guys while over seas! Heard his story on multiple podcasts so won't be watching the whole episode start to finish but this will be a good one for sure & people will thoroughly enjoy his story! Keep killin it Shawn, crazy how far the show has come since you first went on MikeDrop with Mike Ritland to here now! 🙏 👍
I need Shawn to get deeper into the faraday stuff and paint

My wife is on the neighborhood app as a spectator as well, it definetly is a form of entertainment but it shows how you gotta stay on your p's & q's. Most of the time its teenagers doing teenager shit but sometimes its fools who we know dont leave around here looking for easy targets
First second made my heart stop for a second 🤣🤣
Same here same here
way up in Canada here, we not allowed to have nice things. I did have the opportunity to handle some handguns back in the day, and Sig's are like the Bentley of handguns.

I remember seeing a video of Nick. Probably at least 3 yrs ago or more. They asked him what weapon he preferred and he said if he could have only 1 weapon, it would be an AK47
In California he'd be in jail and the case number would be his, not the criminals lol. Terrible
How so?
