- Anyone can be Special Operations - or at least, that's what Mike O'Dowd thinks. To him, Special Operations is a mindset - one about never accepting failure and refusing to settle for mediocrity. He's a 9 year Navy SEAL Vet with SEAL Team Seven, having deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. He's served as a Breacher, Fighter, Waterman, Weapons Instructor, and he's even qualified as an NCAA Division 1 Athlete in rowing. He even founded Defense Strategies Training Group, a collective of Special Operations Combat Veterans dedicated to providing world-class security training with decades of real-world Special Operations Experience.
Safe to say, Mike's seen his fair share of hard times. Fortunately, like any problem, it's rarely something a little hard work (and maybe a few explosives) can't solve.

Great episode! Mike O. is a great dude, highly intelligent and I really enjoyed hearing his story. Mike Drop has become something I look forward to every week, having only recently come across it in the past few months. Sometimes Mike will get crotchety on one of his rants and I have to yell at my screen "calm down old man!" but then I realize he's a few years younger than me. 😂 I say that in fun and with respect, though.

Love the show. Love the guests, but if you want to lend some credibility to the Eddie Gallagher story, I challenge you to have the accuser on the show so that they can give their side. I think the situation was a bit more complex than what everyone says it is. It's almost as if you have to go with the herd on the situation, and anyone who questions Eddie is wrong...have you considered the possibility that this is not the case? Get one of the dudes on the show and hear them out. At the end of the day they are Seals. They proved their worth and just so happened to find themselves in that situation.
Have one of the opposition on and give them the floor.Give them the opportunity to defend themselves (if they would take it). I'm not even saying that they are right. But we never get to hear their take.
