I’ve just been through this. Went no contact as soon as she ditched me. 2 weeks in now I’m starting to feel better coming out the other side.
Had a short term/ 3 month relationship with a fearful avoidant. Felt more real than most multi year relationships i had. She ended up randomly distancing then ignoring the only message i sent and removing me from everything the next week (that was 3 days ago). Felt devasting , never felt this much love from a girl then sudden coldness, like she doesnt care if i pass away. Its exactly as you said, when it ends during the honeymoon its way worst than when it ends way down the line. You keep thinking about the future that you couldve had that never happened. If you want to have a healthy and peaceful life avoid those kind of relationships. They will leave you devastated and without an answer or closure. I went through that, everything was great, the best girl i ever had and boom went 180, blocked on everything 8 months. Like i never existed in her life. Met 3-4 girls with the same vibes, turned my back and walked away because my mental health is more important.
Same exact thing happened to me from August to December.
She found Chad and didnt want anything to do with you. Simple as that.

we broke up after 1 month (we talked for about a month before we started dating) and it hurts a lot bc it's almost completely my fault. I let my anxious attachment style push him away, I don't know if I'll ever get him back. As of right now I'm blocked everywhere but on the phone. He was a great guy and treated me so well but my anxious attachment just refuses to let me be happy. He was the first guy I dated after my 6 year relationship that ended last year and I just can't believe I'm already going through heartbreak again so soon.

2 months telling me i was her love and suddenly she insisted i didn't take her serious and was seeing other girls even though i wasn't. Never gave me a chance to see her again but continued hitting me up every week for 2 months then suddenly started posting another guy and is now dating him. Broke my heart because she had all the qualities i was looking for and im sure we could've worked things out and been a good fit. Had the complete wrong impression of me and part of it was my fault for not communicating well to her how much i cared about her.
This literally just happened to me :( showed some red flags to eachother that could have been managed, but he literally just left after one issue… I guess it’s for the best
Howdy Rory! Pulse here! Exactly how it happened to me in 2018. She ended it after two months right at the time when I was falling in love so hard for her like never before in my life. It was the hardest, most painful breakup ever. It is only about 6 months now that I would consider myself to be "over" my ex. It was so hard to walk away from her (NC) as you adviced (me being thankful for this) after she disrespected me on that first meetup on that festival, 6 months after the breakup. I had a few encounters with new ladies recently, but not really a spark there. At least the big pain, the resentment is gone and I cherish the good times I had with her - it was like a dream - for 2 months I was the happiest being on this planet. Anyways, I keep doing things that put me in an mental/physical upward spiral. I finally rise again from the ashes. For such a long time I really believed I would never get to this point. I can smile again. :)
I had a feeling it was going to be this. We were seeing each other for 5 months. Then when we finally became exclusive, she wanted to break up after 2 weeks. Her feelings fizzled out.
I did reach out once to her, and she said she wanted to catch up after she sorts some things out in her life. But now I realize the likelihood of that happening is nearly zero. She lost feelings but I don't blame her. I don't blame myself. Its just one of those things. I just wish I didn't have high expectations.

Rory, a tricky question on a short term thing Please… dating this guy a few weeks we hadn’t gone all the way (it’s too early) but almost, we were both looking for a relationship, he’s from abroad a little homesick, going home for 2/3 months to be with family. His texting has been less the last couple days but I’ve played it cool. He’s just texted saying he wants to keep talking but he can’t give me what I’m looking for (putting it on me) as if I’m the only one that wanted a relationship. How can I reply and be cool to look unbothered and leave it on good terms, communication left open so when he is abroad and comes back I’ll be in his mind? I do like him! Also he said at the end of text… ‘let me know what you think about it’

I have a question? We were friends first for about 6 months before we started the relationship. Our relationship lasted for 3 months and she broke up with me saying that she is an avoidant and she wants to heal herself. So, i let her go and gave her space. But, I do love her.

I had short term relationships like 5 months I consider that short terms. I had two in that pass that I still miss. Long story before I met my girlfriend I missed my ex that I did the opposite things that Rory told me not to do I added her on snap chat because I missed her. She later asked me why did I add her. Told her it was on accident and the next day she apologized from breaking up with me. I said this “it’s okay you did what you had to do and I’m thankful for it because I started boxing and I’ve been going to the gym. It lit a fire in me because I was doing great. Sometimes I do miss you but I know your happy and I don’t want to ruin it.” She replied “whoa, you have matured a lot.” She probably wanted to rekindle but she was in a relationship and next thing you know she broke up with him and left him for another guy. I thought the what ifs but if someone wanted to rekindle things they should initiate it not you. I don’t want her to monkey branch because she did that to me and I wouldn’t trust her. I have a girlfriend now and still listen to Rory even though I’m in a relationship. I gained the happy weight and gotta start boxing again so I don’t lose my skills and my quickness. All I can say is short term relationship can be rekindled but has to be their ideal not yours I learn that from Craig kenneth. From time to time I still miss my ex but I have to focus on my current relationship and not let my ex cloud my mind. I also have been with this person for a 1 year and I’m happy Rory was right every break up will lead to something better. My girlfriend cooks and cleans for me and I help around the house and teaching her how to drive😊
