There are a lot of comments, and this is at least a year old now, so not sure anyone will see this, but I just want to say how much I was struck by the fact that Juice was the one who did the modified exercises. I always took it as normal and natural that in workout videos, the girls are always the ones who do the modified exercises. Seeing the guy be the one, even if he did have heavier weights, was such a significant thing. Modification isn't just for "girls," and it's not about being less than somehow! Everyone is better at some things than others, everyone has to start from somewhere, everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. Sometimes guys will need modifications; sometimes girls (sometimes non-binary). I didn't know how I had failed to see the problematic nature of women always being the ones doing modifications until I saw the big, strong guy doing them. Anyway, huge impact -- thanks so much!

Im a 30 y/o F, 310 lbs have never done any kind of strength training..I followed this video at my own pace, and didn't stop. Sure, Im sure my form was very bad and I only used 5 lbs weights but I finished. I have never felt stronger, an I can't wait to build up my strength! You guys are awesome!
I use to be a gym rat... but here I am, 44 yrs old, 190 lbs and havent been my old gym self in a few years. I gained a lot of weight and i saw this video (recommended by someone I follow on IG) and thought mannnnn, I use to be able to do all these moves with no real sweat. It humbled me quick that its not at all easy for my body now... but I reminded myself that it was ok, we are fixing that NOW so I can get back to the non modified version. This was a great workout. I thought about quitting halfway through... but I said nahhhh, we got this... modified if need be but we got this. Glad I finished the workout. Made me feel accomplished and proud for doing this for my body and health. Im sure i'll be sore tomorrow but well worth it. Thank you again... SUBSCRIBED and SAVED!
I am so glad I found this! I am 55 years old and literally 3 years ago was in the best shape of my life. Worked out an hour every day, ate clean, had amazing energy. I had a full time job, but then my husband opened a business that I also do all the office work for. I started slacking on taking care of myself, then last December my grandson passed away in his sleep at the age of 2-1/2 and I really fell apart then. Shortly after that discovered that I had major fibroids that made it hard to exercise. Had a hysterectomy this April. Needless to say I have gained about 25 lbs during all of this, but I have felt lack of time and interest to do anything about it... I saw your video and decided to try it and even thought a few parts were hard I was able to do it and felt much better afterwards! I have promised myself to do this every morning and get back into shape. I can't make an hour for myself at this point in my life, but I will make 15 minutes!! Thank you again!!
I loved how this workout had the voice over before every exercise telling us how to keep the muscles engaged and how to prevent any injury. It definitely made me more conscious and I feel like I had a better mind muscle connection because of it. Loved it!

I liked everything about this. The instructors are likable and not even a little bit annoying. Their movements are clear and clean so you can see exactly what they’re doing. The music is perfect and was helpful in pacing myself. The pace is neither fast nor slow. Usually I get very bored with this do a thing for 30 seconds type of workouts. Not this time. I’m so impressed! Thank you.

2023 Summer Ready Challenge Week 1 - Day 1 I remember doing this workout on my own in January of this year, which is also the same time I discovered Juice & Toya. And honestly for lack of better words: I ate. 😋 When I saw we had to do those side plank raises I nearly cried and it gave me a flashback to January when I first tried this workout and I swear I couldn’t even get my self up off the floor (my upper body strength is so bad) but yesterday I decided to search up what crystals would work for achieving goals and one of them was tiger eye, which represented self confidence. Luckily I had many tiger eye crystals, so before my workout today I grabbed one in hopes it would give me confidence. 🙏🏽 So when I saw we had to do the side plank raises, I held my crystal even tighter. AND WHEN I TELL YOU I ATE THOSE SIDE PLANK RAISES. Okay I was only able to do the regular ones and not the modification for like 8 seconds BUT STILL! January me would be so proud right now. 🤧 Let’s hope that the tiger eye crystal can help me with tomorrow’s workout. 😌
As an out of shape 60 YO, this workout is very helpful. I do have one suggestion; it would be great if one of you was facing forward and the other sideways at the same time. It would help having both angles to see if we are doing them right. Thank you for all your work in putting all you videos together to share. You two are great!

@@trinityrobinson9901 I go on the treadmill and do around 3-4 miles every other day, I'm on a calorie-deficit diet as well, and I do the growthwithJo 5-mile or 3-mile workout after this video every day. I've seen more results doing this, but when I started off just doing this dumbbell workout and my calorie deficit workout I did see a massive difference in my weight loss hope this helps🫶🫶🫶

I'm so happy I found you all, I had bariatric surgery 6 months ago and I have lost 75 pound from a size 3X-4X to a Large . My doctor told me I need to add strength and weights. I only had to modify the planks but I'm definitely have them by the end of the month. Thank u for your videos it help beginners like me

I LOVED this! The warm up and cool down being included helped a lot. I also feel like the audio description of the moves made my mind/muscle connection so much stronger. I know this was a “beginner” workout, but I really found the slow and controlled movements challenging and rewarding.
Thank you so much for this video! During the Covid shutdown, my husband and I got into the best shape we'd ever been in because we had lots of time for working out, walking, playing outside, cooking healthy meals, etc. I am a teacher, and returned to in-person learning in August 2020. I quickly began gaining lots of weight back due to not being as active and not having as much time to meal prep and plan healthy meals. I made up my mind today that enough was enough. I started looking for beginner workout videos on UA-cam and came across this one. I was nervous thinking I wouldn't be able to do everything, but I was able to do most everything and what I couldn't do, I was able to modify. Thank you so much for helping me feel successful and giving me encouragement to keep going to get healthy!
Week 1 Day 1: Wohoo first day done! feeling energised after the workout. Since about two years now I suffer from chronic hand and arm pain. I realized building muscles and staying active helps me too relief my pain. Looking forward to the next days!
I'm 69. I walk 3 miles a day but felt that wasn't enough so I decided to try dumbells. I have 6 pund weights which is perfect for me. I enjoyed the modifications because I'm Miss. Uncoordinated. I will continue to do these until I'm comfortable. Thanks for putting this out!

I started this workout about 6 months ago with 5# and 3# weights. Use it to get a full body, dripping with sweat, invigorating workout, but also as a gauge of where I am in my fitness journey. The first time was such a challenge for balance, strength, and endurance, but each time I return to this workout I have seen improvements. Happy to report that I am now using 10# and 8# weights! Not bad for an old dame! Your workouts are fun and motivational. Keep them coming. I am so glad your followers are increasing. They should!

I just found this workout and I am OBSESSED! I am 47, in decent shape but trying to find weight lifting that works for me. This works for me!!! I was able to get through this with only a few modifications from having wrist surgery less than two months ago...planks are hard with my hand. It was amazing to follow and I felt the burn. I just finished my first workout! I'm sweaty but feel accomplished. I've never done any kind of weight/strength training before so I started easy. I'm more than a bit out of shape so I couldn't do all the reps before resting but I'll get there. Right now I'm just focusing on learning the forms and making the workout a habit. The rest will take care of itself. This was a great intro workout. The audio cues and verbal walkthrough were very helpful.

So excited to start this new challenge! I was in the middle of the January one and got covid so that knocked me off track. I then restarted after I recovered, but in the middle of February I began getting nauseous and extremely tired. Welp, I was PREGNANT! So after all of that I'm restarting exercise at 17 weeks of pregnancy. I feel much better in my second trimester, and am just grateful to use your videos to help with having a healthy pregnancy. I liked everything about this. The instructors are likable and not even a little bit annoying. Their movements are clear and clean so you can see exactly what they’re doing. The music is perfect and was helpful in pacing myself. The pace is neither fast nor slow. Usually I get very bored with this do a thing for 30 seconds type of workouts. Not this time. I’m so impressed! Thank you.

Just did this for W1D1 for the 30 day challenge. I’m a 26 yo FM that has been struggling with weight for a very long time. I’ve lost quite a bit on my own, but having to exercise more since my nutrition is mostly in check. I’ve got around 50 more to lose. I'm 20 yrs old and starting my fitness journey. So far people say I've lost weight and not the good kind being a scrawny person I have self esteem issues every time we go to the beach. So I wanna focus now on building a body I'm proud off. This video really helps in giving me a foundation to start off.
I started this today after being depressed from losing two family members and obviously gaining what I lost before! I found this workout and I feel amazing and confident that I can take all my emotions and putting it into working out again! I feel the endorphins and pretty sore and it did go by pretty fast! 2023 Summer Ready Challenge
Week 1 - Day 1
I remember doing this workout on my own in January of this year, which is also the same time I discovered Juice & Toya. And honestly for lack of better words: I ate. 😋 When I saw we had to do those side plank raises I nearly cried and it gave me a flashback to January when I first tried this workout and I swear I couldn’t even get my self up off the floor (my upper body strength is so bad) but yesterday I decided to search up what crystals would work for achieving goals and one of them was tiger eye, which represented self confidence. Luckily I had many tiger eye crystals, so before my workout today I grabbed one in hopes it would give me confidence. 🙏🏽 So when I saw we had to do the side plank raises, I held my crystal even tighter. AND WHEN I TELL YOU I ATE THOSE SIDE PLANK RAISES. Okay I was only able to do the regular ones and not the modification for like 8 seconds BUT STILL! January me would be so proud right now. 🤧 Let’s hope that the tiger eye crystal can help me with tomorrow’s workout. 😌

As an out of shape 60 YO, this workout is very helpful. I do have one suggestion; it would be great if one of you was facing forward and the other sideways at the same time. It would help having both angles to see if we are doing them right. Thank you for all your work in putting all you videos together to share. You two are great!

@@trinityrobinson9901 I go on the treadmill and do around 3-4 miles every other day, I'm on a calorie-deficit diet as well, and I do the growthwithJo 5-mile or 3-mile workout after this video every day. I've seen more results doing this, but when I started off just doing this dumbbell workout and my calorie deficit workout I did see a massive difference in my weight loss hope this helps🫶🫶🫶
I recently started strength training and I found your video, this is my second time doing this video and I love it! Y’all are very detailed in showing the excerise and how to have good form. I also love that it’s not some high energy lots of talking video because the reality most days for me is that working out is about dedication and consistency and I’m not always hype in the AM. I'm so happy I found you all, I had bariatric surgery 6 months ago and I have lost 75 pound from a size 3X-4X to a Large . My doctor told me I need to add strength and weights. I only had to modify the planks but I'm definitely have them by the end of the month. Thank u for your videos it help beginners like me

I LOVED this! The warm up and cool down being included helped a lot. I also feel like the audio description of the moves made my mind/muscle connection so much stronger. I know this was a “beginner” workout, but I really found the slow and controlled movements challenging and rewarding.
Thank you so much for this video! During the Covid shutdown, my husband and I got into the best shape we'd ever been in because we had lots of time for working out, walking, playing outside, cooking healthy meals, etc. I am a teacher, and returned to in-person learning in August 2020. I quickly began gaining lots of weight back due to not being as active and not having as much time to meal prep and plan healthy meals. I made up my mind today that enough was enough. I started looking for beginner workout videos on UA-cam and came across this one. I was nervous thinking I wouldn't be able to do everything, but I was able to do most everything and what I couldn't do, I was able to modify. Thank you so much for helping me feel successful and giving me encouragement to keep going to get healthy!
Week 1 Day 1: Wohoo first day done! feeling energised after the workout. Since about two years now I suffer from chronic hand and arm pain. I realized building muscles and staying active helps me too relief my pain. Looking forward to the next days!
I'm 69. I walk 3 miles a day but felt that wasn't enough so I decided to try dumbells. I have 6 pund weights which is perfect for me. I enjoyed the modifications because I'm Miss. Uncoordinated. I will continue to do these until I'm comfortable. Thanks for putting this out!

I started this workout about 6 months ago with 5# and 3# weights. Use it to get a full body, dripping with sweat, invigorating workout, but also as a gauge of where I am in my fitness journey. The first time was such a challenge for balance, strength, and endurance, but each time I return to this workout I have seen improvements. Happy to report that I am now using 10# and 8# weights! Not bad for an old dame! Your workouts are fun and motivational. Keep them coming. I am so glad your followers are increasing. They should!
The tips received to prevent injury and fully benefit from each exercise were extreamly helpful. I'm 71 and afraid of gyms but I've found an alternative with you two. Thanks. Keep it moving!

I just found this workout and I am OBSESSED! I am 47, in decent shape but trying to find weight lifting that works for me. This works for me!!! I was able to get through this with only a few modifications from having wrist surgery less than two months ago...planks are hard with my hand. It was amazing to follow and I felt the burn. I just finished my first workout! I'm sweaty but feel accomplished. I've never done any kind of weight/strength training before so I started easy. I'm more than a bit out of shape so I couldn't do all the reps before resting but I'll get there. Right now I'm just focusing on learning the forms and making the workout a habit. The rest will take care of itself. This was a great intro workout. The audio cues and verbal walkthrough were very helpful.

Just got done doing this workout (or any strength workout ever) using 10lbs dumbbells, I can feel it in my muscles for sure 🤣🤣🤣 It’s going to take a few times before getting every exercise right as it’s hard to follow and do it at the same time.

that reminder about core engage and not flaring the rib cage to save the lower back was the first time I have successfully fixed my form and saved my lower back! Amazing work out, you both are very articulate and knowledgeable on how to do this right!
So excited to start this new challenge! I was in the middle of the January one and got covid so that knocked me off track. I then restarted after I recovered, but in the middle of February I began getting nauseous and extremely tired. Welp, I was PREGNANT! So after all of that I'm restarting exercise at 17 weeks of pregnancy. I feel much better in my second trimester, and am just grateful to use your videos to help with having a healthy pregnancy. It’s been a minute since I’ve been active and it felt so good to move. I’m really trying to shift my focus from working out to lose weight to working out to get stronger and to move my body. I’ve been sitting for about 10 minutes now after my workout and I feel shaky and very tired but I know with CONSISTENCY, it will get easier and I will see results.

I'm 60 years old, and I've been doing a mix of beginner Strength-and-Conditioning and Yoga classes at the local gym (M,T-T,F) for about a month and a half. Had to stay around the house today for a delivery, so I search out an on-line substitute. I made it through with mods, but this kicked my butt!
