    In Poland we have lot of snacks that are quite plain. We have flavoursome as well but many old school snacks will be without much flavour to it. The Chrupki you have tried first are for small children like 1-2 year olds. We don't give children that small any chocolate or crisps with artificial flavourings in it simply because they are unhealthy. Also puffed rice is kind of baby treat but as well as with chrupki many adults like them because its a taste of childhood :)
    When it comes to sweet snacks we often use dark chocolate when there is other sweet component to it, like Jaffa cakes. We also very rarely use artificial sweeteners so we keep amounts of sugar somehow controlled. Polish food is first about being healthy and then about tasting good. You wont see too many people at McDonald's and majority of familes will cook their dinner at home. Also we still love our basic cakes like cheesecake or normal sponge with fruit.
    Also you missed the message on the juice cap :) Tymbark produces those little juices in amazing combinations of flavours like apple and cherry or apple and peach, I would definitely recommend Apple & Mint combo. But they are famous for their little positive messages under the cap, when you peal it off you will see few nice words to make your day better :)
    If you liked the jellies I would definitely recommend Nimm2 Smiejzelki, they are manufactured by Storck and you can buy many different flavours like apple or forest fruit, they also come with sweet and sour coating, with juice inside them or with white sponge at the bottom. You will love them, much better than Akuku. You guys should also try paluszki which are breadsticks with salt in different flavours as well. However plain ones are most traditional ones. Some Rurki z Kremem and different flavours of crisps/chips. Most popular in Poland is paprika, you can get normal ones, some spicy and hot paprika, paprika with cheese and all other different flavours. In UK mostly it is cheese and onion, salt and vinegar or ready salted. We additionally have many flavours like Fromage, Kebab with fried onion, salsa flavour, grilled ribs and pretty much everything you can imagine.

    "Chrupki kukurydziane" first thing You tried, this is mostly for infants, small kids, no sugar or spices added. It is not considered as a sweets, it's more of a snack.Something You can give to kid to keep him calm :)

    • @kikixchannel
      @kikixchannel 10 місяців тому

      It's not sweets and it's no candy but a snack, yes. However, if you do keep them in your mouth you will actually taste the sweetness in them.
      Though I do agree that compared to all the chemical tastes that people may be bombarded with from most sweets, candy and what not, especially in certain countries (like USA), they are rather unimpactful even with that sweetness.

    Prażynki are in different flavours for example in becon !

    Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas:))))Finally!!! Wish You both all the best from Poland:))))The first thing You've tried I always dip in ketchup or greek yoghurt with salt, because they have no flavour. Krakuski is a very popular traditional factory from Poland and they have such a variety of cookies!!
    E. Wedel has also chococafes in Warsaw or Krakow, when You can drink their most amazing hot chocolate, it is so creamy, thick and amazing that it's almost imposible to describe.and the most important - Polish PIERNIKI, they are kind of ginger cookies, they are made in Toruń since 1763 and they are very well known around the world:)

Maybe they're like an off brand version? Either way they taste really nice and I actually think they're just as nice as the mcvities, just a lot less tangy and not orange.

      No offence Evona, but as a non polish man who has lived in Podkarpackie for 7 years (with 3 children all born here). I have to say there are way too many closed minded, hateful people here. Apparently, this part of poland is different to the west etc. But it's hard to say many positives about many of the people here to be honest. Thankfully, I teach English online & I have lessons with some nice polish people. I can give you many examples but one thing that really annoys me is when grown women look at my daughter with hate when she speaks English to me in public sometimes. As for the food it's okay but nothing special, although it's much better when I add some spice to it. Of course, it seems everyone on here is meant to say how great poland is but unfortunately the truth is very different isn't it.

    • @annapickard3856
      @annapickard3856 4 роки тому

      @@elliottdefoe9615 if its that bad why are you still in Poland? Surely you will be better off in England. Maybe people are giving your daughter funny looks purely because they dont have a clue that she is saying. Not like perfect Brits, xenophobia is nowhere to be seen. Have great life in country you dislike 😂

    • @elliottdefoe9615
      @elliottdefoe9615 4 роки тому

      @Anna Pickfard Hi Anna, nice to hear from you. Firstly, of course I wouldn't be better off in England because there are just as many poles there as there are here LOL. Secondly, you must have lived a very sheltered life, if you don't know the difference between a curious look from someone or a look of disgust/hate (a typical polish trait). On way too many occasions here, I've had a pole go from acting quite normal, suddenly pretending to be a tough guy. Which soon disappears when you look them straight in their bloodshot eyes & they usually bow their bald (at 25) heads when they realise their moment to 'be someone' is quickly taken away from them (I love it). Thirdly, Who said anything about 'Brits' as you say being perfect? If you want to know my opinion on Britain I'd be honest about it, unlike the poles who have left many childlike comments on here & who clearly are seeking recognition & self approval. Fourthly, me & my family are moving to Spain next week. Where we've been waiting to go to for a few years, but couldn't because we have 3 young children. And believe me, I can't wait to be somewhere with better weather, better people & much better FOOD. I have to go now because I have to teach poles an actual useful language (English), so that they can improve their lives & very soon a plane to catch. I would like to wish you a Happy New Year! (Wherever you are, but I'm guessing not poland huh?) And I'm sure, knowing how big hearted & accepting of others most poles are, that you wish the same for me (Thanks in advance). Now, one must bid you farewell & adios amigos!

    The reason why you can easily find a polish shop in England is because there’s a lot of poles moving into the country, we really like the taste of home so a lot of them provide it. Me being raised and born in England I’m grateful to have tasted stuff from my country
    Here’s a tip on how to speak polish, we have a unique way of pronouncing some letters, for example the letter J sounds more like a Y and W sounds more like a V. You might find the letter Ł which sounds like a W. It’s a bit confusing, I know.

    I noticed that you guys were amazed at how little of excessive packaging there was. In Poland we don’t have a pack of crisps containing 6 mini packs, we just have one big bag. We also barely have any sweets individually wrapped and then put in another bag, unless they are really chocolatey and there’s a possibility of chocolate melting and sweets sticking together. Many times you can see things packaged the way that allows you to share with your friends or simply put on a table when everyone gathers for a cup of coffee.

    The first thing you had was pronounced h-rup-key and you can buy it in different flavours such as strawberry and chocolate however it also goes well with certain dips, it is also a snack for babies as they can dissolve it with their saliva however for them it is usually flavored

    Chrupki is a food for 1-2 year old and most Polish food don't have taste but its really nice. I am Polish and I had chrupki when I was younger an I still do have it every once in a while.

    I always eat Krakersy with grated cheese mixed with mayo and garlic! It's a great party snack :)

    I see you liked the Prażynki and Delicje :D, Well, I live in Poland and those are my fav sweets of all you got in this box. Honestley, half of the sweets you have (chrupki, krakersy) are more like economical versions only to get your mouth busy without consumption of sugar and they are hardly ever eaten for good flavour. Hope I helped a little ;)

    Chrupki are like come flavored puffs, they dont have much flavor but they are very delicious. Here in Poland ( I dont live there but I'm of heritage) we dip the chrupki in sweet condensed milk, to even out the flavor of sweet and savory

    We eat the first stuff named chrupki just without nothing on it, it’s very traditional. Little kids like them and the parents give them these because there are very healthy in comparison to other sweets
