So I am the one that actually sent this box. I didn’t intend to send that much. I made the mistake of dividing my shopping both before and after a two week trip to New Zealand (meaning I forgot what I had already purchased and bought more) and going to Wegmans for something unrelated right before I sent it (Wegmans is kind of like the Target of grocery stores-you go in for one thing and come out with three full bags).
Notes based on the video and comments:
-I don’t regularly eat the Mama Zuma’s chips. I just really like the packaging, which is why I sent them. Luckily, it seems like you guys escaped unscathed. They are from Virginia, but the manufacturer makes a point of only making small batches, so they are not commonly found. A convenience store near me carries them.
-I am not huge on sweets (ironic I know given I like watching these videos)-I hike a lot and usually just eat them then. Because of that the few healthier things I put in there are what I eat the most. Especially, Polar Seltzer water (which is specific to the northeast, it is made about 25 minutes from where I live). They come out with seasonal flavors twice a year that I drink constantly. They have a cucumber melon out right now that is amazing.
-Justin’s is common now, but the reason I eat it the most is because when I was eating the peanut butter on top of the mountain West Bond up in New Hampshire his uncle approached me and sent a picture of me eating it to him. Eating it reminds be of that mountain now so I tend to go for that brand.
-I only really eat the Kind bar with the vegetables in it when I am on multi day backpacking (trekking) trips where carrying fresh food is not feasible.
-Moxie is a Maine thing. You can find it all over the New England, but is much more common in Maine. The unique flavor comes from gentian root extract.
-Necco is also a northeast thing. It looks like the factory is going to shut down (last I heard they were trying to sell it), which is why I sent their products. Looking like they may not be around much longer.
-My 3-year-old niece is the one that got the Boston hat. They sell them at Target here.
-Most of these candies/snacks came from Wayside Country Store in Marlborough, MA and Wegmans if anyone is looking for them.
We've got Neccos in MN as well. My dad and I love them!

here in Utah USA our icecream place called farrs uses those hats to put icecream inside I used to love getting em growing up
Wegman's is great. We have them in NY. They have really clean, luxurious looking bathrooms in the ones near me.

Candy companies here also tend to discontinue candy bars a lot. I miss the chocolate bar called PB Max. They were made with peanut butter and oats on a square cookie topped with chocolate.
When they tried the habanero chips I nearly spit out my water as Kate loses here accent and says “Damn son”
Somebody probably already commented this (I’m behind on my UA-cam watching) but the Cranberry Bog & Blueberry Patch Frogs we’re called that because cranberries are harvested by flooding the field so it becomes a “big” and many people refer to blueberries as growing in a patch.
Some candy bars are in trays to keep them from getting broken or smooshed. :)

Loved seeing stuff from New England! I'm from Maine and my favorites are the maple candy lobsters which aren't usually hard on the outside but the heat from shipping probably changed it a bit. Moxie was actually used as medicine when it first came out. It's native to New England now. Loved seeing this vid ❤

I’m from New England too! Never seen some of these, but lots of them are classics. Combos 😍 and Cape Cod 😍 I used to drink Moxie with my dad. Everyone I know hates it, but I think I just like it because of that memory 😁

I remember I was on a field trip when I was younger and had syrup and vanilla icecream for the first time and I've love it ever since. If you guy get a chance, definitely give it a try! Okay put a half a cup of sugar in the Kool-Aid that's when it's delicious and then the neccos wafer chocolate candy you supposed to suck on them then when you get down a little lower than you bite into them and they stay crunchy and those Wafers come in all different flavors have fun Kate and Alex have a great weekend

I’m literally obsessed with peeps! My favorites were peppermint dipped in dark chocolate. And when you put them in a mug of hot cocoa it’s like heaven 😋

For Koolaid, it’s supposed to be drank cold, but if you use hot water to make it, the mix and sugar dissolve in the water better. Then we usually stick it in the fridge to chill. You can also pour it into ice trays and stick little toothpicks in it for little homemade popsicles.
With the heat water is the wrong thing to go for. Bread or milk much better. Have fun y'all

Must be an individual thing because neither bread or milk work for me. I have to have regular Coke.
Yes, milk is much better than water because it actually (somewhat) neutralizes the chemical that's making your mouth go crazy. I've seen some folks eat veeeeery hot things, and they sometimes go one step farther: they follow up with yogurt, or sometimes ice cream. (I have no knowledge about bread either way, so will have to keep that in mind if I run out of dairy.)
InTheKitchenWithKate granulated sugar will also help. Never water though. It makes it worse.
Blueberries are grown in patches and cranberries are grown in bogs....hence the names :)!

I’m from Vermont and I love so many of these. There’s only a few of these which I don’t recognize! The maple candy is a staple in VT too and even our neighbors make it.

Jelly Belly are the original gourmet jelly beans.. the buttered popcorn ones are my favorite. My husband is English so we've gotten a kick out of comparing different goodies. My faves from there? Galaxy and Jaffa cakes.

I 💜 moon pies, I have never put them in the microwave, I can't wait to try them this way. A test for good cereal is can you enjoy it as a snack without milk. I enjoy capn crunch that way often. At Christmas time they have peppermint peeps which are great in a mug of cocoa.
I love Combos (the same flavor they had) and zagnuts!! I would love to chill with these two.

I think candy corn is more decorative for an autumn Halloween/Thanksgiving look than a taste treat. Kind of traditional in the same way Scandinavians eat lutefisk.
I like candy corn sometimes during Halloween but my nephew LOVES it he gets a bag every time we go to Menards because they have it year round!

I’m still mad Kool Aid quit making the raspberry flavor years ago. That was my favorite flavor. No other brand never measured up.

I don’t know, it just disappeared off the shelf one day. Haven’t bought any Kool Aid since. Don’t like the other flavors except maybe lemonade.
I was born early 80's and I remember in the very late 80's/early 90's that Kool-aid had so many flavors. Now at the store they have like 7, but it used to be over 20. I remember as a kid meticulously picking out the flavors I wanted that months. I never see Peach mango or black cherry anymore or scary blackberry, or pineapple. Sharkleberry fin was interesting. Soaring strawberry punch was great and so was Jamaica.
I remember when the clear flavors came out. They were always a trip because it looked like a jug of water and if you didn't make it yourself, you had no idea what flavor it was. Could be lemon, could be watermelon, or green apple.
I know. Seems like everything I like goes away pretty fast and all the ones I don’t stay around forever.
I remember Black Cherry being one of my Favorites, along with lemon-lime.

We dissolve the sugar in a bit of hot water then at the cool water and we pour it over ice. Also some flavors need more sugar some less. We also love making a gallon and mixing flavors! So fun

MoonPies are particularly popular in southern US, so having been raised in New Orleans, I’ve eaten many, many of them! They’re even thrown at Mardi Gras parades! I’ve never eaten them warm though! What a brilliant idea!!!
