I'm an old guy and I'm a little prone to being imbalanced in a kayak so I'm wondering if these will help. I fish fresh water lakes and I don't stand up to fish but I might shift around a bit. What do you think, after using them, of the stability they provide? My boat is an Ultimate 12, a sit inside design.
They do help and if you are already fishing with your kayak, then they will help you. But what you should expect? These aren't game changers, but they will help some. If you want the stability of a boat but in a kayak form, I would simply buy much larger outriggers, but that also is more expensive.
@@Andi_Doci Thank you so much, I appreciate your candor. I'll give them a try in the Spring and if they work that will be fine. If I'm not quite satisfied I might just add a set to the front of my boat.
1.25" x 1.25" x 0.125" Aluminum Angle. I think they have portions long enough in store at Home Depot, but you can look find it at Amazon also and other places.
You could but it is still not easy on these. I recommend you stay seated or get the larger outriggers, but still you need to get used to that kind of fishing.
Very nice design!

can you fish standing up with this stabilizer in calm waters?

Can this be fitted with hobie's fin drive?
I don't know. I can't say because I don't have to try it out. I would advise you to find the specs for it and see if that can help.
How far out are the fenders from center of yak? 36”?
About, I can't confirm again right now because I have it in the shed and it's folded up. But I know for certain that it is over 30 inches!
