      Thank you for comment. Just remember they are mainly for fishing. If you are just kayaking down a river you might not want to use them. We went on a lake with some friends and did not take them off. We were running slow compared to the others.

    Super job! Your craftsmanship is excellent! One of the best videos I’ve ever seen! How to do it, then how it works!!! NICE!!!
    FYI, Flip your paddle over though. The notch allows the water to go back into the pond, buts the notch had to be on the bottom of the paddle.

    That white float thing is called a bumper for boats you put a rope on them and hang them off the side of a boat so your boat don’t hit the dock when you pull your boat up to a dock

    Well the longer the stablelizers are away from the kayak the better center of gravity for stability.18 inches is what ya need

    I'm about to do this exact build based on your design. Did those screws hold in place? The ones screwed into the 1 x 4. I'm always weary about screwing into plastic

    Great video and well explained, I have a question on the material. The 2 X 21in and 4 X 8 7/8 etc... are these for bolt size's I assume ?

      We ran our hands through the port holes where the lids come up. Might have the stretch your arms but it was really no problem. Hope it all works out for you. It’s ok to ask any questions ......

    Do you think it would be possible to have a wheel on a fixture that attached the same as the pontoons for rolling it to the shore?

      Yes find some of the tall push mower wheels. I was gonna do that but we just load them from our truck and walk to the water. Makes a difference if you have two people to carry them. You can add wheels.

    I got boat fenders on EBay four of them for $ 51.99 free shipping.........6.5 in by 23 in long

      They are about 1/2 way in the water. So they are submerged a little. I figure they are around 20 lbs. of float on each side by the size they are. Thanks for checking us out.

      They make those floats in 8 inches x 27 inches long. They would really give more buoyancy... I’m 6 1 and the 6in x 22 works for me. Have a great day Mark.

      Yes they will slow you down a bit, but not to bad. You can buy a bigger size that would give you more stability. Longer would work but might be in your way while paddle. Thanks for watching.

      61/2 x 23 in long.....we have a mod coming raising our seats. This mod is very interesting, should be online by tonight or tomorrow sometime. One thing you don’t want to do in this mod. I say I’m wore out and wow...! God bless.

    Did you use self tapping screws or what? I can't use a bolt because I have a sit on kayak and I can't screw a nut onto the back of the bolt.

      We ran our arms under the port holes in side the kayak to put nuts on bolts. Hope that helps. Not sure what kind of kayak you have.

    You should’ve made the float adjustable too. Would’ve been more stable if the floats were lower in the water IMO.

      I ordered them off eBay, I think it tells in one of the videos. They do work but they also make one size bigger. They help if you decide to stand up and fish. Thanks for watching and comment. It tells at top of comments and the size we used.

    Good video but I would rather put the air valve to the top in case it goes to leaking it won’t take in as much water and make the design where a pin drops the floats to re inflate
