hey @sakitech I have the s23 ultra unlocked from best buy I see a button or a sensor on the side of the phone under the power button, I see yours has it too, I have seen other videos of the s23 ultra and they don't have the sensor/ button, I don't know what it is for. can you tell me if you know what is that button/sensor ir maybe is a memory slot. I just haven't figured that one out. thx

Received my S23 Ultra last Friday. I upgraded from the S22 Ultra and can confirm the battery life is much improved and the cameras are amazing. Also enjoying the reduced curve on the sides, much better in the hand.

Mine comes in tomorrow. Coming in from an iPhone XS that’s old and dying lmao. Just managed to get on that $1,000 bill credit if your trade in is worth $35 or more. They valued my phone at $40 so I figured why not lol.
Prebooked here in India. Same cream color. Should arrive on 17th. I'm moving from my Zfold 4 as i need the S23U battery and cameras. Think Fold 6 or 7 should be worth moving back to that form factor. It is a really powerful multitasking device. Wish I could rock both, but can't carry two heavy devices around.
Foldables are not the future 😄

Oh, I noticed in your video, the ram usage was nearly 6gb out of 12gb, does this scale between models? ie 3.7gb out of 6gb Tab 7+ 7.4 out of 12 gb used on Note 10 + and 3.1gb out of 6gb on Note 9. I have all these devices and notices ram usage varies a lot between them even if some have similar ram specs. Is this due to the UI and Android itself?
Thats the VRam acting, go into settings and u can change has much virtual ram u wana use :)

Big jump but not so much on iPhone 13 pro Max lol my s23 ultra made me appreciate iPhone smoothness and ease of use, still a new phone is fantastic and Samsung has its advantages and I like the warm almost note 📝 like feel vs iPhone's glass like feel when typing on it 😀

Just got my s23 ultra skyblue everything seems perfect then when it came to getting it open it would not let me goes straight to accessibility won’t leave it and assumes am a blind person with a 1900 dollar Canadian phone, it requires I put in a sim first very stupid as this is an unlock device not attached to any company I had to do that just to get into phone when I did not want to remove it from my iPhone such a hassle now just getting setup.

@Kat Dandelo does your S pen feels a bit rigid when removing it?? Mine did that not sure if that’s a quality issue or sign of sturdiness.
Genreal system storage around 70gb yes after all the latest updates .

Some is given to the storage gods... like always when you buy a 512gb ssd you really get 476GB available to use
I have only installed Ookla speedtest, volkswagen app and CPU-Z. I now have 449GB Free to use on the 512GB S23 Ultra
@@ranxzy it still feels a lot. Are you saying those 3 apps eat up 27 GB of your storage from 476? I now feel I should have ordered 512 version instead of 256 lol
@Pushpaj Chougule If you think of 476 being the base. Then Samsung install the android OS and One UI... that takes about 20GB.
So realistically, for your 256G S23.The factory starts with 238GB then you will probably have 218GB to use still after the OS and skin is installed

Literally ALL data? I have lots of notes and saved passwords that are vital. Also, is the aluminum used on these phones different than what Apple uses on its cheaper iPhones? Is it perhaps a better...grade, if that makes sense?

So far I an ZERO IMPRESSED IN ALL ASPECTS! OF THE S23 UKTRA.
THE SCREEN IS NOT BRIGJT THE SOUND IS LOW AND THE PROCESSINGNIS SLOW.
AS COMPARED TO MY flip 4 and fold 4 and my Motorolla 2022 Razr. I am returning this s23 ultra. The pictures are super cool. But seriously, like all of history prior to 20nuears ago who needs or Evan wants such cameras? Pics of food, bugs, peoples living rooms? Such a trite reaps for a comm device.

The display hz never goes below 24hz...same as my S22+. You can test this in the developers options to display refresh rate...False advertising!
at 38 seconds into the video "Inside the box is another box" ua-cam.com/video/GJiN9Q3OqqU/v-deo.html, but inside that box there is also a sleeve that holds the SIM pin tool. I had already pulled out the instructions and the cable but could not find the pin tool until I pulled out the sleeve.

Does the s20 ultra have the same fingerprint reader as the s23 ultra???
No. S22U & S23U have the same Gen 2 fingerprint reader which is bigger in size & more advanced.

No - S20 Ultra has Gen 1 scanner - S23U has the Gen 2 one
Nah. The S23 Ultra is cool, but I went with the S22 Ultra a couple months ago. Late to the party, but only having to pay sales tax up front sure as hell beats gettin' screwed over in February 2022 because the original price AND sales tax was way more than I thought it would be. As for upgrading, I think I'm good until at least the S25 Ultra, assuming they're still using that naming convention.
Unlucky on the S22 Ultra. But still a great phone. the S23 Ultra is so much faster, but comfy in hand to! the SD 8G2 chip is so much faster
S25 is supposed to be the year that Samsung unveils their own processor. Could be good or completely awful
One more very important thing to do ;
1. I always cancel the animation ! The phone becomes 10x faster

I have a old galaxy s20+ and it has an sd card which I love as I store a large number of photos on it and yes they are also on cloud storage. As I am old school I love having the SD option which isn't on new galaxy phones so the question is just how much bigger storage is there on galaxy s23+ and ultra compared to my s20+? I have a lot of apps and my s20+ is near storage limit just from that. Worried pictures would put storage of new phone over the top
In the US, right now, it starts at 512g. For me, the storage isn't an issue but if it was, I would use an USB card reader or portable hard drive to download excess photos... Besides, in my experience around 60% of the photos I take with a phone are garbage and should be deleted. Just saying.
Well given the SD option is no longer there, and the OS in total takes out 60gb, I pre-ordered a 512 gb and a 1tb on a waiting list. I personally use a lot of storage, thus as large as I can get is the better option for me.

I received my S23 Ultra quite fast after I placed my order. To my very surprise, when I did the internet speedtests and compare it with my S20 Plus, the S23 was three out of three times about 40 Mbps slower than my S20 Plus (on a 400 Mbps connection). Besides, the Notifications arrive much later on the S23 Ultra than on my S20 Plus. Has anyone else encountered those anomalies with their S23?
I tried Speedtest by Ookla (to the same server) twice - yesterday and today - vs S21U Exynos. One device at the time. At first S21U won, today morning S23U won. I'll be checking that again, it's really interesting.
@Albert Kisiel I contacter Samsung Support to discuss about this, and they seem to have no clue! On the same social networks, the S23 sometimes miss the notifications completely!

Currently, my S23U lays next to S21U, and I have comparison
Really strange thing happened now. I wanted to check app installation speed vs S21U, and I noticed that S21U completed download much faster (but at the end, S23U finished quicker)
I ran 2x ookla speedtests (one device at the time to same server), and S23U scored barely over 100mbs, while S23U scored 550mbs+ twice

Stop using overpriced phone services!! I pay $60 a month, for 3 lines. All have unlimited calls/texts. One has 5 gb of data, one has 2 gb of data, one has only unlimited call/text.

i upgraded from the Note 20 Ultra... the difference is night and day, camera, gaming general speed of the phone so much better - the comfort in hand is defo better to!
Does anyone know if the cable provided support 45W or at least 25 W charging?
25W but the phone still charges fairly quick took half hour to full for me from 45%.

@@archimedes2261 Thank you! that's fast enough for me. So I'll get a 25W adapter. I have 33W And 22.5W chargers from other brands but i really don't feel like risking so will get a Samsung adapter. With 22.5W charger my tablet goes from 25-100 in about 1.5hrs and that's a 8750mah battery. So for 5000mah 25W is plenty.
the cable supports BOTH - its the plug that does the hard work :) make sure u get the 45w charger
@@benthebossjackson4388 Yeah, if the cable provided is rated for 5A, it will support up to 45W. Samsung just says "Data Cable" on the box contents, while on the website they listed a 5A C to C cable for $10. Which is specifically labelled as fast charging/data transfer. That's why the confusion.
I got the red. I little disappointed as it's more of a coral than an actual red. It looks like there's a film on it but there isn't. I think I might just put a skin on it.

got S23 Ultra moved from s21U phones great bar notifications esp whatsapp long story short ive a selected tone as standard notification but 80% my contacts have a personalised notification & ringtone always worked on prior models all the app notification settings are right but when i get a mesage from a specific pal who has their own tone enabled whatsapp isnt playing it but the main tone but as i open WA up & click contact and open sometimes their own tone then kicks in its driving me bonkers haha i contacted WA who only tried to tell me how to assign tone/ per contact which i knew backwards but offered no other help or suggestion i did click tech tiktoker moaning on live stream one of his helpers said 5 others had told them the same issue
