Two weeks ago I had iPhone 12 pro. Sold it and bought S23 Ultra. Im all in Apple ecosystem... watch, macbook, magsafe chargers etc... Then after 4 days i got pretty good offer for it and sold it. Bought 14 pro Max 512 gb version in black. The iPhone is great and yes there is a big upgrade from my 12 pro BUT.... except the 120Hz great display i see it boring again like my 12 pro... Thinking of selling the 14 pro and buy the S 23 Ultra AGAIN. The hard thing is this ecosystem escape ... And I have to buy Samsung watch because im pretty used to wearing my apple watch all the time and receiving notifications... Im using everyday that instant synchronization between my Macbook pro and iPhone. OMG Im pretty stuck in this ecosystem. Everything is working flawlessly but I want to try after all this years of using Apple products something else.... Hope you understand me :D Cheers !

Didn't see this coming! Brilliant review, great to see someone focusing on aspects different to the plain specs. It's amazing how good the battery life is (it is similarly good on the plain S23). If only the charging speed was a little quicker... 😑

@@ThisIsE the basic S23 it is, and it will be only while I complete the review. Somehow I never got used to Samsung's "flavor" of Android, despite the fact a Samsung phone was my first smartphone.

@@thisisayushpandey Well with my experience with the S23 Ultra Samsung software feels a lot smoother then Pixel which stills feel like in a senior in high school to me at least lol.
This is why I was dumbfounded how iOS handles going back inconsistently.
@@thisisayushpandey Nah, I tried stock Android, Android One, and Pixel btw, Pixel is not stock and pure, common misconception. Pixel and stock is incomplete, misses a lot of things One UI offers.

I got the Note 9 and pre-ordered this (same version - black, 512/12), the jump for me will be big, looking forward to that 120hz display. There might not be too many changes since the S22U, but for someone like me who hasn't upgraded in 4+ years, this is a huge improvement.

@@Lee-dr2im well, I waited for a phone with no hole-punch camera, microSD slot and a 3.5mm jack, but instead of adding on these features, they are removing them, so I decided to jump ship on the new S23U. Hopefully that Qualcomm will be a nice piece of tech :)
You should go to the store rip the display phone and run out with it. Not only its an upgrade but free phone as well.

I just did the same thing and switched to the 23U from my 14 Pro. I am in the Apple ecosystem since 2012 and I just felt boring with it by now... It is something new even if I tried the S22U and the Fold 4 too.
How do you find it so far?
@@ThisIsE What I miss the most is Apple Pay and I have to carry an iPhone for my Watch but the Android system is shockingly good at least for now. I spent a little more then a week with it so there is a lot to come, but so far so good!

@@JHSaxa They are not working with my banks in Hungary... I have to use Revolut all the time and add balance etc.. If it would work natively then one more concern would be out of the picture. :D
Last samsung I had was s7. I switched to iphone 11 pro and i have it for 3-4 years. Now im going back to samsung bc i got bored with apple. Same thing over and over. Samsung really improved by a ton since then

The edges are chrome/steel coloured.

I'm a legacy note user, I've tried other phones but always came back. s pen is king for productivity and art.

I find SwiftKey by Microsoft to be the perfect keyboard with simultaneous dual language support + swipe and lots of customizations

This phone is so good. The night time video is truly remarkable. Did a side by side with my snapdragon s21 ultra and the difference in quality is like 4x better. It's outstanding.

You can adjust the brightness bar on top of notification tray so that u can toggle it in one swipe instead of 2

Samsung knows how to keep consistent with this device the battery life is amazing the S pen is great to have for editing or note taking and the screen size is just perfect for everyday use. this is one device i would carry with me every single day alongside my iPhone. great review/ Day in the life bro

From any app you can use swipe back gesture from either side of the screen, no need to go to the top of the screen at all.
The keyboard you typing on in 6:06 is beautiful bro, mind linking it?
To switch from the swipe gestures to buttons you go to settings then you type in navigation bar than you can switch between buttons or swipe

You can easily get magsafe compatible cases for the S23 Ultra so you can still use the majority of your accessories
My man i was worried that UA-cam/me would never see a good tech UA-camr again but here we are i was following you since your LG 32 ultra sharp monitor and now here i can say comfortably you are the best if not better than marquse and lew definitely not worse. Keep it up my man I especially like your english/russ accent.
With gesture navigation you can swipe from either side of the screen to go back, you don't have to use the app's back button.

Little note here. The "Home Screen Bar" mode has a different way of presing back. You just swipe from the side, and that is your back button. 😁

2:49 Android has universal back gestures at both left and right and can be navigated pretty much anywhere on the edges so that shouldn't be a problem for you.

@1:45 when you are charging the phone, it is fast charging not super-fast, this is not 45W output that this hub uses. Samsung super fast charging shows the animated circle in cyan color not green.

2:43 you can actually swipe from anywhere on both sides to go back, for that it's better than the iphone imo because you don't have to reach to the top left any time you want to go back.

You should do an S23U setup like you do for the iPhone. Also, you should recreate your widgets with KWGT and sell them for Android users.
There are magsafe cases for the s23 :) and there are gesture controls, I have a diagonal down swipe from the left to bring up the 3 nav buttons incase I need them

As someone who switched from the Note20U to iPhone 14 Pro Max, I love these comparison videos which argue that Samsung's most recent flagship finally trumps the iPhone on all fronts, except ecosystem; I think we can all agree that Apple's still king there. In any case, it's clear (to me anyway) that Apple has lagged behind in terms of innovation. I'm ok with that since their ecosystem and devices provide me everything that as a regular consumer I need, without quirks and headaches on the Android side of things (i.e. updates and support). My last iPhone was the 7 Plus so the 14 Pro Max is a delight for someone to use. However, I can imagine (because I remember) how frustrating it is for tech types to pick up a new phone that pretty much looks and works the same as their retired devices. No incentive to upgrade there. Still, if you think about it, eco-wise, boring may be more beneficial. At the end of the day, to conclude, I welcome the competition since Apple postures itself as a tad too comfortable.
You make any video with any topic fun to watch even if it’s not related to Apple! So why did you get this phone? I wonder if you would switch from iPhone to Samsung primarily? (I just bought iPhone 14 pro max and this video made me think twice)

you can buy a magsafe s23 ultra case, works exactly the same as magsafe on Iphone because the s23 ultra also has a magnetic ring inside

In gesture mode all you have to do is swipe from either side of the phone to go back. It's a whole lot easier to go back with gesture mode.

You can add magsafe with a case or add the magnet to compatible cases. The back gesture can be done along the edges of the screen, you don't need to use the back button in the app, that's an iOS thing.

How do you move files from the samsung to your Mac for things like editing? Is the lack of airdrop an issue?
I have placed a browser icon for iCloud and upload and download from there for now

Don't know if anyone said it but if you swipe down with 2 fingers you pull down the full tool bar instead of swiping from the top twice to get to that menu.

I have an iPhone 12 with an Apple ID would all my texts, contacts and all data transfer over when using the smart switch ? Also would you recommend the s23 ultra over the iPhone 14 Pro Max ?
I can't recommend either because that switch depend on your workflow and the remaining of your devices.
8:40 Wow it's amazing that even the smaller Pro iPhone sounds way better than the S23 Ultra. I bet the Pro Max would be another step up again given the larger internal volume. I've owned a few Galaxies (S2, S3, Note 20 Ultra and S22 Ultra) and I was always amused at how lacking the speakers were in terms of bass compared to the iPhone. Even my old iPhone XS had more bass than the Note 20 Ultra which was especially noticeable when playing a game like COD Mobile.

Hey, bro. You said you couldn't use the wireless charging pad with the s23 ultra because of the size. Wouldn't it fit without the charging cable. This is because I have the peugeot 5008 and have always charged my S22 Ultra on the pad. Great vid by the way

Great video and probably the best review for the everyday user! One note..if you put the home bar if you slide from either sides you go back as well. Not only in the UI back buttons 2:50

When using the bar/gestures instead of the normal navigation buttons. Swiping from either edge of the screen becomes your back button. So your back button is wherever your finger happens to be

Try the Autozone Car phone mount with rollers. Wonderfull mount and a true real one handed operation mount. I currently have the S21 ultra and the weight is no issue as it is with other car mounts
