Hello, i have a priblem, issue with my s22 ultra's focus enhancer. It enables itself when i point at something and it appears at the side of the camera but as soon as i get too close e.g the way u did on that wall, the symbol just disappears and the camera blurs and doesnt focus at all like yours did. Anything you might know that can help ?

Just got my new S22 ultra this morning. I was a professional photographer for over 20 years. Carried my cameras everywhere. Now with such great phone cameras there is no need. Can't wait to watch again once I get my phone set up tonight. Ur videos are the bomb.

Whoa, nice, Jonathan, that you found out about MotionCam. Let us know, how it does work with S22 Ultra - what max fps it can hold etc. As I noticed, that it sadly seems to be only main and ultrawide available. Previous S21 Series has issues with fps and it struggled in the range of 18-23fps at maximum.. Also dng from samsung was quite overprocessed. Wonder if its better with S22 series. Currently im using setup with MotionCam with xiaomi mi 11 ultra, it lets to shoot with all lenses up to 4K60fps for raw dng! 60fps! crazy.. p.s. then shooting raw, turn off OIS if posible, this will avoid that image wobble.

Great video mate!! As a owner of a Galaxy S21 Ultra i have to say that 90% of the features you've shown are also in my model, i don't see any impossible upgrade to reach the one's actually missing, since everything is software related. Anyway thanks A LOT for such a detailed video!!
thats true, differences lies in processing. As the S21u is capable of that, but issue is known of samsung. They wont kill S22 sales making the goodies available at last year models. I would assure you even to stay aware of future updates :))

So someone is driving away, if you quickly turn on the camera, click on this, then click on that, make sure the yellow light is on and take a pic.. the guy drove away went around the corner and is halfway home before you can get to the yellow light haha.

Thanks Jonathan for the tips. Everything is good about S22 ultra, except with selfie mode. It only works for me with a clear face. The other people at the back of me are blurred, using the normal selfie mode or even the portrait mode. Is there a setting i missed? Thanks
My S21 Ultra I portrait VIDEO automatically gives me a wide angle. Got my s22 ultra and it appears it is just regular video and not wide angle. Can someone please verify before I return my 22 ultra. Thank you.

Most who own the new Samsung S22 ultra are adults and what you are showing and also said it's for kids, no adults are going to be interested in this stuff, but yes I didn't know about this, but being an adult would never use it, it's for children under 12 years old, once you get to 13+ years old these are just kids stuff, but thanks for sharing,

Scan document is wrong. When using scan document a yellow box will appear around the document and a small yellow button that says scan. From there it will scan the document and you will be able to crop what you want and all other things around the picture are automatically cropped out.
Loved the video, and found a few features I haven't used before. Motion Camera though was a complete washout. You can record with the free version, but you can't view it unless you subscribe to the Pro version. Otherwise, excellent tips & tricks vid.

Hello Jonathan, I accindetly came across your channel, I purchased new S22 Ultra, so I was looking for some videos about it and as I started watching, I could see you live about 20 min. from where I live. So yey.... :-), cool and I subscribed. Thank you for your videos.
I noticed that the new Lightroom AI denoise algorithm doesn't work with this phone's recent DNG files. I went back to RAW photos I shot in December, and guess what? Those RAW photos can be denoised by the new LR algorithm! After digging deeper, I realised that something happend in between. Most likely, a firmware update screwed things up. When analysing the EXIF data, we can clearly see that the new DNGs are not uncompressed RAW anymore, but Linear RAW with embedded JPEG compression. This explains why LR AI Denoise doesn't work on these files anymore I suspect that the problem started sometimes in April, when Expert RAW was added as an option inside the default camera app, in Pro mode. Expert RAW always had these linear RAW files (since these are HDR DNGs), and I suspect that when the two things were combined, the Expert RAW DNG generating algoritm replaced the original RAW algorithm. Not good. Also, as a side note: The x3 and x10 sensors have 10Mpix native resolution (3648 x 2736), but the outputs of Expert RAW and the regular camera app in photo mode are 12Mpix (4000 x 3000)! So Expert RAW is upscaling the output of the x3 and x10 cameras. This is not what RAW files are supposed to do. It only confirms that the DNG is in fact a JPEG file in a DNG container. I also checked an older S10 5G. Guess what? It outputs uncompressed RAW. Probably because camera Pro was not altered by Expert RAW, since it is only compatible with S20 and above! What a shame!
Hi...have had my S22 for a few months and use the wonderful camera for my ON-LINE Vintage Clothing biz...shooting the great shots to add to my listings...however, many of my shots are TOO SMALL, so cannot be downloaded to my 'shop' site. I am digging the zoom, I am amazed how clear it is given how far it is. I notice it uses AI to make it a better image

The Moon Photo modes on most smartphones use a super-imposed image of the moon layered over the top of the moon in your own photo. It's a bit funny.

Jonathan, you explained very clearly the steps to take better pictures with my SamsungGalaxy Note S22 Ultra that I recently purchased. Before watching your UA-cam video I was thinking maybe my previous SamsungGalaxy Note had a better camera! Now, I know!! Scan document is wrong. When using scan document a yellow box will appear around the document and a small yellow button that says scan. From there it will scan the document and you will be able to crop what you want and all other things around the picture are automatically cropped out.
Loved the video, and found a few features I haven't used before.
Motion Camera though was a complete washout. You can record with the free version, but you can't view it unless you subscribe to the Pro version.
Otherwise, excellent tips & tricks vid.

Hello Jonathan, I accindetly came across your channel, I purchased new S22 Ultra, so I was looking for some videos about it and as I started watching, I could see you live about 20 min. from where I live. So yey.... :-), cool and I subscribed. Thank you for your videos.
I m so bummed that there is no option for photos in action; I tried the live photo,the burst shots,they don't come out good 😢
I noticed that the new Lightroom AI denoise algorithm doesn't work with this phone's recent DNG files.
I went back to RAW photos I shot in December, and guess what? Those RAW photos can be denoised by the new LR algorithm!
After digging deeper, I realised that something happend in between.
Most likely, a firmware update screwed things up.
When analysing the EXIF data, we can clearly see that the new DNGs are not uncompressed RAW anymore, but Linear RAW with embedded JPEG compression.
This explains why LR AI Denoise doesn't work on these files anymore
I suspect that the problem started sometimes in April, when Expert RAW was added as an option inside the default camera app, in Pro mode.
Expert RAW always had these linear RAW files (since these are HDR DNGs), and I suspect that when the two things were combined, the Expert RAW DNG generating algoritm replaced the original RAW algorithm. Not good.
Also, as a side note: The x3 and x10 sensors have 10Mpix native resolution (3648 x 2736), but the outputs of Expert RAW and the regular camera app in photo mode are 12Mpix (4000 x 3000)!
So Expert RAW is upscaling the output of the x3 and x10 cameras. This is not what RAW files are supposed to do. It only confirms that the DNG is in fact a JPEG file in a DNG container.
I also checked an older S10 5G. Guess what? It outputs uncompressed RAW. Probably because camera Pro was not altered by Expert RAW, since it is only compatible with S20 and above!
What a shame!
Hi...have had my S22 for a few months and use the wonderful camera for my ON-LINE Vintage Clothing biz...shooting the great shots to add to my listings...however, many of my shots are TOO SMALL, so cannot be downloaded to my 'shop' site. Can the S22 be adjusted to ALWAYS get a minimum of 750 x 750 pixels???!!
