How to get the "Youthanasia" GUITAR TONE - Dave Mustaine (Megadeth) - Bias Amp & Bias FX

- Using Bias Amp 2 and Bias FX 2, I show how to accurately get the guitar sound from Dave Mustaine and Marty Friedman (Megadeth) on the "Youthanasia" album.
IMPORTANT 2023 UPDATE - Some users have reported they can't find my presets when searching Bias FX 2. This seems to be a glitch in their search system. To solve the issue, type in the search field "DMO -" (yes, just DMO followed by a space and hyphen) and choose "Sort by Popularity" in the drop-down beside the search field. You should see all of my presets.
Please note many users have taken my presets and created their own versions with similar names. To make sure you are downloading my original presets, my user name in Bias FX 2 is "Dan Oliv". Also, my original presets have a lot more downloads than the non-original versions.

. Bias Amp 2 and Bias FX 2 guitar modeling software - metal distortion and Mesa Boogie Mark IIc+ amp simulation with tone matching feature
. Line 6 UX-1 audio interface
. M-Audio monitors

. B.C. Rich Warlock (1984) with Kahler tremolo and DiMarzio Super and PAF pickups

I have about 50+ tones I want to get to, and No More Tears and Tempo of the Damned are on my list - and so is Bonded by Blood! Amazing guitar tone on the first Exodus album.

Do I need both bias amp and bias fx to use your presets?
bias amp 2. I have just bias fx and none of his presets work. In fact 90% of user cloud presets seem to not work, only real old ones (due to them making them on bias)

I have Bias FX 2 standard and this amp that he use these videos (mark II) can be found in Bias amp 2 or Bias FX 2 pro and Elite versions, not standard FX. if user have both i think his presets should work but not sure? You can always take freedom and tweak thinks yourself, like putting Marshall amp model like i did when i try his Randy Rhoads tone. I just put Bias "pure plexi" setup and then those pedals and their setups and it sounds great. Little different than his video but great.
@@DanzoSrife When Positive Grid lanched Bias FX 2, it created a separate tone cloud for FX 2. If you have the first Bias FX, you won't be able to find the FX 2 presets. And, like you said, if you try to open FX presets with FX 2, most of them don't work - they're just adding clutter to the FX 2 tone cloud.
@@kuitaristi3003 If you're just downloading my presets, the Bias FX 2 should work fine. But to tweak the amp itself, you'd need Bias Amp 2 as well.
